Hi John. We are glad you enjoyed your stay-The Tattries
Beautiful home. Bright and spacious. Well stocked kitchen.
Good size bedrooms with very comfortable beds.
Pool table and ping pong in the downstairs room.
Kayaks, canoes and paddle board to use.
Grandchildren visited and loved the beach.
Easy walk to the lake. Very pleased with the rental.
Thank you so much, Christine & Kevin! Our family enjoyed the most perfect vacation imaginable at your place - the accommodations and location central to that experience! The lake is beautiful, and your home is spacious and welcoming with SO MANY amenities and thoughtful provisions that made even preparing to come and go relaxing. We have always dreamed of taking our grown kids and their budding families on a lake vacation to go boating/swimming/hiking/cycling and cooking, all of which we were easily able to do. We especially appreciated the accessibility of paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, paddles, whistles, lifejackets, and beach chairs, and even the almost-two-year-old was capable of walking (if willing) to the lake. This was truly a dream come true. We ALL agree that we would like to rent here again as soon as we can! Thank you for everything!
Kezar Lake is special place and this house is the perfect spot to host a large group. We were 3 families and there were beds to spare. The kitchen and bedrooms are all well-appointed and everything's in great shape. Beautiful large porch with a table for 10 and several deck chairs for reading a book or hanging out. Our kids loved taking out the paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes (2 of each) on the beautiful lake. The beach is a very close walk and the neighbors were quite friendly. Lots of good hikes nearby (highly recommend Rattlesnake Falls). We love Kezar and would return here again with a large group!
The house is well-maintained, spacious, and is a few steps from a large, beautiful lake. Lots of watercraft, life jackets, and paddles available to take. Well-equipped kitchen, nice gas grill outside, great dining tables inside and out.
The lower level, unfortunately, has a musty smell that we were never able to clear, despite following the owner’s instructions setting up fans and using Damp Rid. We still enjoyed the table tennis in the lower level, but didn’t want to sleep there.
Kevin answered my few emails quickly and informatively. Overall, an A vacation spot. We loved it.

Hi Alan,
I just wanted to update your review for future travelers. We just installed mini split heating/cooling units in the finished basement and the main living area in October, 2023, which should go a long way in removing excess humidity.
Thank you again for staying with us.
Kevin
Great house with ample space for the 9 people in my family. The proximity to the lake and beach is a definite plus. There are canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, floats and life vests for everyone including the young kids. The beach is small but there were just a few other people all week long. The neighbors were quite friendly. The pool table & ping pong table add to the activities available to the guests. The kitchen is extremely well equipped for a rental unit. It was a very hot week weatherwise which made sleeping rather uncomfortable, especially in the upper level bedrooms (just a window unit air conditioner available in the living room). The exterior of the house could use a thorough cleaning. The screens are covered with spider webs and there is a huge wasp nest in the eaves above the deck. All in all, a wonderful house, we would highly recommend it for a fun summer vacation.

Hi Dan
Thank you for your review and for your recommendation.
I agree that your week was during the middle of a heat wave. Most of the time, even if days are warm, cooler temperatures are the norm overnight and fans with open windows make sleeping very comfortable. Unfortunately it never really cooled off at night this past week.
All the best,
The Tattries
We had a wonderful stay! This was the best equipped house I’ve ever rented. The kitchen had everything we needed. The tables and seating were more than adequate for our group of 6 adults and 4 kids. The mini split/AC in the main area kept the downstairs bedrooms cool and the overhead fans in the upstairs bedrooms kept the temperature comfortable. We did not turn on the mini split in the finished basement because the dehumidifier seemed to keep the air comfortable. There was an assortment of games and the kids’ loved playing in the finished basement with a pool table, ping pong table and dart board. The house also had lots of water equipment - canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, paddles, and plenty of life jackets. The sandy beach was just a 2 minute walk down the dirt road and as it is only for the neighborhood association, hardly anyone else was there. The entrance to the water was a sandy bottom and very gradual so perfect for all ages. I cannot speak more highly of this house!
Just wanted you to know we had a wonderful time! This house was very well appointed especially the kitchen. We have rented in various locations through the year but this house had the best equipped kitchen. Plenty of plates, mugs, cups and silverware, not to mention pots and pans and anything you might require. Also plenty of towels. The house was just as pictured- no surprises. We used the paddle boards, kayaks and canoes. The area itself was very quiet, peaceful and secluded. There are neighboring houses but you really don’t see them. The only bump we had was the weather- I wasn’t expecting it to be so hot! But we went in a heatwave! It lasted just a night and a day or so later, it cooled down to what I was expecting! We were thankful for the air conditioning unit in the common area. It was very clean upon arrival. We would rent here again.

Hi Jennifer,

We spent June and July at this lovely property, working from "home" with great high-speed internet, and heading out in the late afternoons (and weekends) to kayak, hike, golf, and enjoy the beauty of Maine. The owners were incredibly accommodating and the house had everything we needed--including plenty of kayaks, canoes, and boards for playing in the water, and a well-equipped kitchen. Kezar Lake is perhaps the best lake in the region--clean, large, warm, and lightly trafficked--and it was just steps from the house. We miss the loons and the family of bald eagles and the joyous peace of the place already....
Our family had a wonderful time in this beautiful house on the amazing Kezar lake. We enjoyed swimming, canoeing, kayaking and hiking in the nearby mountains. House is spacious, well equipped and very charming. Our hosts were easy to communicate with and available. We would love to come back in the future!
The property was clean and well kept up. Everything the listing said they would have at the property they did like Canoes, Kayaking and paddle boards. The game room kept us busy at night with the pool table, ping pong table and dart board. I will definitely keep this property in ming to use it again.
Such a nice and spacious home. It rained for many of the days we were there but there were plenty of distractions with puzzles, games, playing pool, reading books and watching tv. DSL in the house was functional but the tv lagged/froze if someone used the internet on their phone/iPad/etc. at the same time. The kitchen was very well equipped - better than any rental we’ve ever been to.
Great location with just a quick stroll to the lake. Quiet neighborhood. We would stay here again!
