Best sunsets in town. I shouldn’t write anything more, that should do it. Best sunsets in town, period. I just can’t put it into words. The light, the wind, and the smells of the arid Cycladic earth serve as potent mood changers. No room for stress or negativity. Everything goes away, no shrinks, no drugs, and no need for music. Just listen to the nature’s sounds. Nothingness is overpowering.
Two thousand square meters of exterior areas, a pool and a house of a little over one hundred square meters can entertain a party of six and serve as the setting of a memorable vacation. A ground floor encompassing an open plan kitchen, a custom-made dining table, a sitting area, a bathroom, a fireplace, and a spacious sofa which – if need be – sleeps one. Porch windows open to a stone tiled exterior area where the main dining table – seats eight – rests under a reed straw pergola. The custom outdoor table, crafted by an artist, is made of blue, red, and yellow tiles. A bare attic hosting a double bed and equipped with A/C- overlooks the sitting area; ideal space for a couple of lovers.
Placed in the lower and cooler level, the master bedroom and a smaller second bedroom can accommodate four adults, and if need be five since there is an extra sofa in a space adjacent to the main bedroom. The master bedroom is also equipped with A/C. There is a second bathroom in the same level. Porch windows open to a stone tiled area connecting the bedroom with the lower exterior area, the pool and garden. This is my favourite breakfast spot since it is protected from the sun’s rays ‘till midday. The two benches and the chaise longues can sit all the house guests around a custom made table to feast a hearty Mediterranean breakfast or to sip early evening ouzo while kids are enjoying the pool.
I would be more than happy to host you in our vacation home, to accommodate your special needs and to make you feel at home. After all this is what Greece should be about, the world’s second home. Families with children are especially welcomed!
