⚓️The Ship Inn ⚓️Spacious Home located in Wallaroo

The Ship Inn is over 100 years old and has been saved from ruin and totally renovated throughout. It may look small from the outside but you will be pleasantly surprised at how spacious it is on the inside. The large back yard has plenty of room to fit your car, caravan and boat and then some. There is also a very unique outdoor open air shower and deep bath perfect for washing off sand from the beach or enjoying a bath and look at the stars. We have installed split system air conditioners to most parts of the house so you can be comfortable during hot and cold days. There is also a large combustion fire inside to enjoy during winter in the dining/kitchen which has a long dining table perfect for all to sit. Our house is spacious for big families to enjoy and share the cost for a very affordable getaway . All beds are made with fresh linen and 1 towel is supplied per person. Please bring beach towels. The 2nd bedroom can sleep 5 and has proven very popular with children with lots of books on offer and games to play. It also has a split system air conditioner. The indoor bath room has a beautiful deep bath and spacious shower. The toilet is seperate from the bathroom. There is only 1 toilet in our old cottage. Sitting on the front veranda you can see the ocean looking west and can see the Ships coming In. The house is situated in a very quiet little street very close to everything. We have an outdoor sitting area out the back under the large peppercorn tree, BBQ and a little boat for children to play. We love our place and we know you will too.

A beautiful little cottage in a wonderful location. Very peaceful gardens and everything provided. Queen beds very comfortable but queen bedrooms are quite squeezy! Loved it and will be back
Very clean and tidy. Well organised, clear instructions with the keys. Great location. Exactly like the photos. Responses quickly with messages and very welcoming.
Would definitely stay here again.
Lovely historic cottage lovingly renovated by Jutta and Nigel. Quiet location. Easy walk to the main street. Well equipped house. Lots of extra touches - garden, outside shower, homemade jam and croissants, fresh fruit. Absolute delight. Would recommend and stay again.
We found The Ship Inn just perfect for our family and grandparents. It's renovated amazingly, in keeping with the style of the house, but modern appliances etc. Jutta's communication and helpfulness was wonderful. Loved that it was walking distance to the jetty, main street and marina. And a short drive to lovely Moonta and coast. We highly recommend it. Hope to be back.
The Ship Inn had everything we could want & more!
The hosts have been very thoughtful in their inclusions, and it truly feels like a home away from home. Our group ranged from 12 to 66 y.o and everyone found something they loved about the cottage.
The kitchen is really well stocked, making it easy to cook whatever you may fancy. The big bath is a fabulous addition to the bathroom. All beds were very comfortable. The entire place was exceptionally clean on arrival, and the handwritten tags around the home were very useful.
There is so much to love at the Ship Inn, and we look forward to a longer stay to enjoy it all.
As we all are in the old/elderly group, we had difficulties in two areas: (1) getting into double beds,we had to walk sideways which we already have a balancing problems (2) for the same reason, the shower would be safer if we had something to hold on to.
It's certainly not the most (outside) attractive residence we've stayed in at Wallaroo. However, open the front door and the attention to detail, all adds to this renovated, old-world cottage's charm, and is what welcomes you inside.
Nothing has been left to guess-work. A very much appreciated thought. Hosts have not only added well stocked and generous essentials such as tea (including herbals), coffee, new bottle olive oil, but also have a vast array of quality cooking utensils, along with cupboards full of plates, cups and cutlery.
Bathroom had quality bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
The main bedroom mattress was a bit too soft. We ended up sleeping in the 2'nd bedroom - that mattress was firm. Aside from that very small issue, the rest of the home, including our stay was truly awesome.
In closing, if your seeking a well presented and not too costly accommodation in Wallaroo, then "The Ship Inn" is definitely a gem worth checking out!
Enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The outdoor bath and shower was a huge fave with the kids and the indoor shower and bath were complete pleasure!! Lots of little notes and tips to find your way around the house we’re super helpful. Loved it and will come again!
