We had a great stay at this property, mainly because the back yard and fire pit! It was great to sit around the fire every night. The host was super at communicating, and the beds were really comfortable.
This is an adorable old home in Lompoc with lots of character. It was very well provisioned and the beds were comfy. It has a lovely sunny kitchen and my sister and I had wonderful breakfasts and played board games there in the evenings. The backyard is roomy and wonderful but it was rainy so we didn't get to use it. Be aware that the house is small, there wasn't room to have an opened suitcase in the smaller bedroom but there's a closet and we could have put it on the floor. The parking is on the street and was very easy. There is an elementary school across the street and we enjoyed the marching band practice. We drove to Buellton one night and ate at the Hitching Post 2 restaurant which was really really good. The highlight of the trip was a private tour of Return To Freedom, a gorgeous wild horse sanctuary about 25 minutes away. Spirit (of Hollywood fame) lives there along with many mustangs rescued from the kill pens. It was wonderful to see the bands of horses wandering free on 300 acres of gorgeous hillsides.
The Cottage is located in a very quiet neighborhood. Its cozy, cute, full of amenities. The cottage has a back yard with table and chairs. I highly recommend this cottage.
The hosts were amazing and very hospitable. We went to Lompoc to view a rocket launch and had this as our base spot. Very comfortable accommodations and all sorts of little touches of home left by the awesome hosts. The backyard is beautiful outdoor space! Thanks for sharing your place for our stay!!
My teacher friend and I came out here to check out the annual Lompoc flower festival. This cottage is very well appointed (especially with kitchen utensils and things like spices) and has a huge outdoor space. Beds are cozy and comfortable. This place is also very close to where the festival is held, which is great for attending the festival but just be prepared that you will hear the live concerts etc at night if you come during that time. We didn’t mind because that’s what we were there for! The neighborhood is otherwise very quiet during the summer. If we were to stop in Lompoc again, this would certainly be a high priority place to consider staying again!
Perfect, cute little house for a small family, or couple. We were in town for a funeral, which was sad, but the house made us feel warm and happy. It was very homey and had a lot of character. The outside entertainment area looked great but unfortunately we were having a big rainstorm and didn't get a chance to use it. We will for sure, next time we are in town. I must have walked by this place a hundred times when I was young without realizing how special it was.
The Cottage we perfect for our group. Brought back nostalgic memories of my grandparents farm house, efficient and just what you need. We spent a lot of our time outside in the backyard area. Enjoyed the fire pit and Weber and our bottles of wine we accumulated throughout the day. Bedrooms were well sized with plenty of room to get around the beds. Mattresses were comfortable, I have to be careful because of my back issues and had no problems with all that. Shower had plenty of water pressure and enough hot water for a great shower. We had a great time. We would stay at this property again.
