Lovely little cottage with amazing views. A little remote but the peace and quiet was very much needed. You can see the water and mountains from the sofa, such amazing views. We saw lots of seals on the rocks on the water., which was amazing. The cottage is basic but has what you need. We were a little disappointed on some areas needing an exta clean. All in all we had a lovely time.

This was an absolutely stunning location for a perfectly peaceful break. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped - but the highlight was having seals at the shoreline 100ft away!I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a break away from the hustle and bustle of the tourists elsewhere on Skye!

our stay

Lovely cottage lovely location, sea otters and golden eagles seen from inside the cottage from the large window which looks out towards the sea. The bed looks like it has got a topper on top so it is very comfy and we had a good nights sleep every night. such a lovely place to stay.

Traditional cottage in remote setting

We had a perfect holiday in this charming cottage away from it all. The cottage was perfectly clean, tidy and just what we wanted. Otter watching close by and great views through the windows all around. Arrived in a storm left in sunshine!

Cosy house

The house is superbly located next to a beach with seals. The house offers all one needs. Only thing that can be improved is the ventilation.

Great location

We had a wonderful week. Enjoyed Skye as a whole and the direct environment of the crofthouse itself. We liked the quiteness of Kylerhea. We would certainly recommend the Holocaust led, u leds that it was not the most clean house we ever rented.

Our one week stay

The property was fine in relation to what we were looking for and what we were able to spend, given the notoriously high prices for Skye accommodation. The location is very peaceful with wonderful views and it was good having the Glenelg ferry nearby. The single track road to Kylerhea was also in adequate condition, considering its length. A pair of oven gloves and a good wine glass set would be useful, but the kitchen was well equipped otherwise.

Top locatie maar...

What a fantastic location! Right on the waterfront with seals and dolphins. Unbelievable. It's a shame it was so rainy. The cottage was very damp and cold. It's a shame that only one of the four electric heaters worked. It was so damp that there was mold on the bedroom wall!I hope it can be repaired.

Beautiful Wilderness and wildlife

The location was great and wild. We loved watching the seals on the rocks. The house was really cute but it was very dirty, which made it less of a pleasant stay and we would not stay here again. It Is a shame as the house has great potenti al but needs some maintanence and a thorough Deep clean

Owner is amazing gentleman

While we ended up not staying in the property the reasons why I will not put in here. Richard the property owner was a great gentleman and easy to communicate with and the views from the property are amazing, as is the wildlife around the area. Top tip go the extra mile and take the old Skye ferry to get you to the property it's worth it!

Perfect

Great location for us and all needed amenities. The view is spectacular and easily a place we would return to. Unfortunately, the shower drain was clogged on arrival so we had to unclog a large amount and also had to buy toilet paper as no spare was obviously seen. These were minor issues compared to how our holiday went. Thank you.

Hidden Gem

I'm into wildlife photography so this cottage was perfect , if you enjoy peace and quiet , the night stars and watching the changing colours all around outside then this is the place for you. The cottage was immaculately clean and had everything we needed and was certainly excellent value for money, just remember this cottage was built in the 1800s and from the outside has kept all of its charm which we loved , the shower was fantastic aswell . I've been renting cottages on the West Cost of Scotland for over 25 years and this cottage for the price ticks all the boxes , we will certainly be returning in the future
