Our cabin was newly furnished very comfortable with Beautiful views! The true log cabin in the middle of the wilderness, but close to golden British Columbia for any shopping needs. Excellent stay!
From Arkansas & Montana came to hike the Rockies! The chalet was perfect! It was a great spot for us. The chalet has one of the best views compared to the others. I would have loved a suggested list of recommended restaurants and hikes in the area, as WiFi wasn’t always great. But overall the chalet was clean and comfortable!
Very nice cabin. We enjoyed our stay. Good for family or multiple couples (although upper level is open to below) Well equipped kitchen. Good location for Golden and Yoho National Park. Lake Louise is 30 min away, Banff is one hour. Access road is not great. Can get caught by slow trains.
We've always wanted to visit Banff and Jasper area. This was great location to access the whole range. More reasonable price and not touristy/busy. It was our family vacation for my me, my wife, our three grown kids (two back for summer from university and one in High school). Lots of fun outdoors stuff to see and do! Chalet was perfect with incredible view. Had breakfast and lunch everyday on the front porch. Great place: clean, well stocked, easy access, great communication.
There’s wonderful view from the front porch looking at the mountains. The cabin kitchen was well stocked. There was information on hikes and the local parks. The furniture was comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well but we didn’t try the tv and can’t comment on it. The bathroom and kitchen were clean but we found some trash from past guests in the downstairs bedroom side table drawer (a bottle of whiskey lol) and under it on the floor.
We had a wonderful stay at this Chancellor Peak Chalet. The location is perfect - close enough drive to sights like Emerald Lake, Wapta Falls and Field, but far away from the tourist bustle. Beautiful views from the porch, and the cabin is much nicer than the photos suggest. Easy access from parking lot was facilitated by convenient carts to haul all of our stuff. Kitchen was well equipped and even surprised us with a nice, new dishwasher.
One suggestion: add weights to the shower curtain so it doesn’t hover up during showers. We didn’t use the second floor (just two of us) or hot tub, but it looked nice for a bigger crew to hang out. Propane grill was clean and convenient. Jacqueline was very responsive and helpful — definitely recommend!
Our family loved our stay at Chancellor peak chalet 18. The view is beautiful and the log home is away from the busy tourists attractions so really nice to be there. Golden is nice town with everything you need. The central place of the chalet made it great to do many day activities like wapta falls, lake Louise, glacier national park, kicking horse resort, golden skybridge, parker ridge trail and many more. Thanks!
We loved this cabin! Very quiet and relaxing. Short drive to the hikes we wanted to do. Teen and pre-teen happy with the wifi and smart TV. Clean by my very high standards.
Beautiful property. Chalet was clean, beds very comfortable, full kitchen with everything you could possibly need! Enjoyed our 2 nights. Will definitely be back for a longer visit!
Lovely Log Cabin Chalets Away from the Hustle and Bustle
Jacqueline W.Denver, CO, USA
This was our first visit to the Canadian Rockies. We chose Yoho Chalets because we wanted to be close enough to the parks and sights, but out of the hustle and bustle. As well we loved the cabin style rather than traditional condo. The site is beautiful. There is the lovely town of Golden a short 20-30 minute drive for dining out, shopping and groceries. There is a rail line and you can hear the trains but we did not find it bothersome.
I wish we had realized just how far from YYC these cabins are, we had to leave a day earlier and stay a the airport hotel. So keep in mind if you are planning an early or even afternoon flight, you may want to do the same.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will be planning another trip and if we decide not to stay in Canmore the next time, we will absolutely be staying here!

Wonderful Hideaway in Canadian Rockies
James T.Wilmington, NC, USA
We were looking for a secluded location nearby to Banff and Yoho for 4 days of exploring and came upon this jewel! The chalet, part of a small grouping of similar units, fit our needs perfectly. The well-built log cabin was just the right mix of rustic charm and practical convenience. We enjoyed preparing breakfast each morning in the well-appointed kithchen before our day's adventures in the area.
When we booked the chalet, the owner offered many great suggestions for day trips. One of our favorite restaurants was The Truffle Pig in the little town of Field, on the way to Lake Louise. Another day trip took us through Golden where we enjoyed lunch and local brew at the Tap pub. Also, don't miss stopping for a meal at the beautiful Banff Springs lodge. The food and the view were exceptional.
I'd gladly recommend this chalet to friends and family. The photos in the listing are accurate and the property is beautifully maintained. We would definitely like to return some day.

Yoyo chalet is very beautiful, immaculate and peaceful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, wished we could have stayed longer, the view and scenery is absoultely breathtaking. Being wild bird lovers, we thoroughly enjoyed the many different species of birds, especially the numerous amounts of hummingbirds. The chalet itself is very clean, comfortable, spacious, well kept and has everything you could possibly need, including WiFi. Overall, we highly recommend Yoyo Chalet to anyone who enjoys nature and the outdoors!! We wouldn't hesitate in returning for a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing getaway!!!

A little Piece of Paradise
JaneGLittle Forest, Australia
This place was fantastic. Back to nature with all the comforts. Carpark was close with asphalt path to room (trolleys available in carpark to help carry luggage). The chalet was located in that it felt like you were completely on you own, but you were actually amongst other similar chalets. Snow as all around us , and the manager was so helpful and friendly but she also kept out of the way. The chalet was very comfortable, even for a family of 5. The kitchen was well equipped. We bought groceries in Banff on way to chalet as we were planning on cooking. There were also a few good grocery stores in Golden. It was nice to be able to cook some home cooked meals after travelling and eating out for several weeks.
So warm inside and the only thing I can complain about is the shower was quite small and if you are trying to book ahead or like us talk on skype back to Australia, the WiFi is very slow. .
The rest is magnificent. I will stay again one day, and the town of Golden is so close, only 15 mins down the road, with Kicking Horse ski resort only 10 mins up the road from Golden. One of the best ski resorts i have ever skiied.
We walked down to the creek and stood on the frozen ice. Had marshmallows outside, and just could of sat there and relaxed if we weren't so busy looking at the hot springs, Lake Louise and Banff. Emerald Lake and The natural bridge were very close and well worth seeing. Would have loved to cross country ski over the lake but unfortunately time didn't permit.
Best part of our one month holiday and loved the bear teeth marks in the bin outside. Really knew we were in the Canadian forests.
The property was as described, very clean (even got fresh towels half way through our 4 night stay) and well maintained. Would definitely recommend this property to others. Thanks for a great stay!!
