Everything was as described in the listing. You are rural so expect the comings and goings associated with the location. Close to our event so great location.
Idyllic location, so relaxing and lovely to be surrounded by farm animals and nature alike. Super friendly hosts and a fab, clean and tidy place to stay, we’ll be recommending this place!

Great spot to unwind and switch off - perfect for feeling like you’re completely out of the city without having to drive for hours. Hosts were great and found perfect mix of friendly/accomodating while also giving privacy. Highly recommend taking the short trip over to Pokeno butcher and making the most of the coal barbecue provided.
Short stay on our way to a concert in Pukekohe. Great swim and out of the way. The location is close to Bombay shopping area. Great swim before heading off for the night.
Seemed like i was out of auckland.. quite fresh air.. thanks

A bit rough around the edges
Cabin is very basic with raw plywood walls and floors, unfortunately we were there on a very hot and still afternoon which made the cabin rather uncomfortable despite the doors and windows open and two fans going. Pool was lovely but had some some debris. Great setting with the trees and animals, but there is a bit of the highway traffic in the background. Note there is a reasonable unsealed driveway around the fields. Friendly and nice hosts!

I found it difficult to find as I had no idea how far down the bumpy dirt track it was. A few signs along the track would be very helpful. The ply needs to be painted on the bathroom floor as it feels gritty underfoot. The bath mat needed cleaning. I asked for milk and was ignored. Also they don't provide sweetner. There is no where to put or hang your toilet bag, a selection of hooks in there would be good for clothes as well. Overall lack of attention to details. The shower pressure is good and the bed was good but the sheets were old polyester feel. Nice to be out in the country amongst the animals. I think it was expensive for what it was.

I’m sorry you found it diffiicult to find despite the detailed instructions given. Arriving at 11pm at night probably didn’t help.
We deliberately don’t have signs as we don’t want uninvited visitors.
No email, text or phone call about milk was received by either of us. Everyone else brings it with them or goes to the shop five minutes away but, if you HAD asked, we would gladly have given you some! As for sweetener, that’s something that you can bring yourself!
There are hooks on both bedroom doors but extra in the bathroom would be a good idea, thank you.
The sheets are quite new but have been washed several times. They are of good quality but I’m sorry that they are not Egyptian cotton or silk!
I’m glad you enjoyed the coffee so much that you took the whole bag away with you and it’s a shame that we didn’t get to meet face to face.
You’re the first guest that we haven’t met but you came late and left early both days!
Thank you for your comments and have a happy Christmas.
Zeer gastvrije eigenaren, we voelden ons erg welkom!

About the host
Hosted by Steve and Imogen Selby-Cane
Steve and Imogen come from the UK. We met in the Bahamas where we lived for over 15 years before coming to New Zealand in 2004. We fell in love with this amazing country and its wonderful people and are proud to call it our home. We really enjoy country living, the birds, the views, no neighbours and the peaceful setting.
Why they chose this property
We live in a great location and want to share with people who can enjoy and explore our region of New Zealand. You can go for nice walks, enjoy the views, relax with the amazing bird songs, feed the goats and chickens, swim, laze in a hammock and enjoy the incredible dark skies and stars at night.
What makes this property unique
