Plenty of room for everything, just a short walk front the beach! Amazing location to major restaurants and activities! Would absolutely stay again!

Great location

We loved our short stay. We had a party of 5 adults and 2 dogs and stayed for 3 days. The house is an easy 1 block walk to the ocean and there is an awesome grocery store a few blocks away. The owner is very responsive to messages and was flexible with our check out time! Thank you for an awesome relaxing October beach vaca!!

Whale size satisfaction

This rental is textbook island beach house! The house itself is a bit dated but updated where it counts. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is perfect for all your cooking needs, and the tub is just the right size for anyone! Not to mention, it’s walking distance to the beach. You can hear the waves calling you from the front porch!

Nice getaway

Overall- location was great, walkable distance to beach, home was clean and as stated online. I have only 1 minor request. Since the home only has 2 steps, and because of this - people with walking issues , bad knees etc look for first floor accommodations. It would be safer and not too costly to put some sort of rail to assist up those two steps. I would have greatly appreciated that . Again over all was a very enjoyable stay.

Great location and cute house

4 of us stayed in the Knotty Whale for a short 3 night weekend. We loved that the beds were so comfortable. It’s hard to find places that don’t use cheap hard mattresses. The kitchen was well stocked and the owner was great to communicate with. The location was perfect. The place was a good size for the 4 of us but it was cramped when sitting on the sofa. More comfortable seating would be great but with the size of the room, I could see how that’s not doable. The biggest complaint we have is the hall bathroom. It was just too small. My husband is 6’1 and could not use the shower comfortably. For me being a smaller female it felt to cramped and small too. You either have to turn the shower off to wash or cram under the shower head where water won’t hit you. With that being said, my husband ended up using the other bathroom to shower bc it had more room. The toilet space was very tight with the walls so close and the sink was kid height. For a short weekend, it’s doable but not something I would want to use for a week. Overall, it is a good place to stay, especially with a pet. You don’t have to go up and down stairs. Not to mention, it didn’t have a pet smell to it. It was a clean place too. We would consider it again if it’s just us and we want a nice place to stay with our pup.

Overall was a good stay location is nice. Only issue we had was the neighbors upstairs were loud all the time and we banging when we were trying to sleep. One night a lady was vacuuming at 1100pm and I had to go upstairs and ask for her to keep it down. Otherwise overall was good.

Perfect location, great host!

The location of this home is super convenient to walk to the beach. It’s a cute place and accommodated our group of 10 well. Our first night was uneventful but we woke up to no hot water the next morning. The host was incredibly prompt in his response to fix the issue. We ended up having to move to another location because of the water heater issue but the host went out of his way to make things as easy as possible for us. Overall it was a great stay!

Can't beat the location!

We couldn't have been happier with the location, only a block away from the beach with very easy access. For the price, it was all just perfect! Communication was excellent. The space was adequate. And it was so nice to be able to bring out dog with us. We were glad to find a property that allowed pets. We would definitely stay here again.

Warm Carolina week in between Christmas and NYE escape

Our family loved the Knotty Whale. We had a great porch to play card games with the kid and morning walks on the beach were beautiful. Definitely had some good chill family time and enjoyed the local beach restaurants and gocarts at "the Track" just a few minutes away.

Quaint and cozy

We had a whale of a good time! The place was perfect for the 6 of us. Each room is decorated nicely with their own theme. The bedrooms have an triple door armoire with hangers and storebins with drawers. Our teenager loved staying in the queen room with TV so he could play his Xbox all night. I was pleasantly surprised by the stocked kitchen. There were many pots, pans and trays. Plus a lot of utensils and silverware. The coffee maker with pod and drip capabilities worked great. There was also, plenty of counter and storage space. The location worked in our favor. We were walking distance to the beach and only minutes from the pier. Your just a short drive to Myrtle Beach or Calabash NC. Damian is a great host. He answered all our questions right way. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great neighborhood

This location was in a quiet neighborhood just a short 5 minute walk to the beach. The house was clean and Damion was quick in response to any questions we had. I highly recommend this location.

Wonderful getaway.

You will not be disappointed staying here! Our family loved the screened porch out front and gathered there every chance they could. Our host was quick to respond to any questions as well. If you want clean, friendly, warm and inviting this is the place for you. We will most definitely be staying here again in the very near future.
