For anyone looking for a "budget-conscious" Beach-Side Studio, this is for you! This 1950's apartment building is located steps away from the beach access with a home located in between the apartment building and beach.

If you are traveling light (with no need for an over- abundance of space) this Beach Side Studio is just perfect. We are located just steps away from the beach, with no streets to cross.

The Studio has a bedroom with a full-sized bed, a small eat-in kitchen and a full bathroom.

The bathroom has a combined bathtub and shower with a hand held shower head. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed to cook a meal. We have a full size refrigerator and a gas stove.

Off street parking is just outside your front door.

We also welcome longer term stays in this efficiency apartment.

I've allowed for 3 guests just in case a couple may have an infant or baby. But there is only one Full Size Bed for sleeping, no other bedding arrangements would work in this studio; it is ideal for a maximum of 2 adults.
Again, the beach is a short one minute walk with no streets to cross!

We are also pet friendly (with a $49 fee)

This Studio Apartment is one of 6 units in this building. The building was built in the 1950's, and as such, many of the the windows, systems and appliances are dated.

We are proud to offer a beach side apartment that is clean, comfortable and provides all the necessities - Smart TV, WiFi, Full Kitchen, Bathroom and best of all - the beaches of the Chesapeake Bay!

We have off-street parking and are close to a brewery/BBQ restaurant that is walking distance. Fishing from the surf is excellent, and the beach is also pet-friendly.

These are older units and do show some of their age as many of the vintage gas stoves remain, as well as the cast iron tubs and sinks. Some of these tubs and sinks may have a bit of rust, but all has been fastidiously cleaned for your use! We are proud to be able to offer such low-priced beach side studios, but we also want our guests to have the proper expectations. These units are clean, but will show "age" with some rust stains on the bathroom appliances, windows that may not open and close properly, flooring that is a bit worn, cracks in the plaster on the walls and/or ceilings, and appliances that show their age; if you will find these issues bothersome, please look for a more contemporary place for your vacation.

If, however, you prioritize being conveniently located to the beach where you plan on enjoying the majority of your vacation, we believe you will be happy here. You will also enjoy a clean, comfortable bed, a large Smart TV (use your own internet streaming), cool air conditioning (window units), WiFi and the personal comfort of being able to bring your furry friend with you!

Overwhelmed with the stench of pet cat pee. The place is humid and with the air conditioner smells of mold. The bed was most uncomfortable. The springs were hurtful. We did not get any rest. Thankfully we were only there for less than 10 hours. We recommend that if you have a pet friendly place don't have carpet. Also bed needs to be a better mattress.

WHAT A DUMP!

JUST NO! You have got to be kidding me.🤬 Don't waste your hard earned $ staying here for what's supposed to be your restful vacation, unless of course you want to feel like a starving artist or frat house college kid. Only positive is no bugs, a semi comfortable double bed, and the air conditioner worked(although you could see the mild spores inside the vents). I thought, ok this will be cute and quaint and we can have our coffee/beer out front watching the sunrise/set right on the beach and it'll be like retro to a simpler time and relaxing....YEAH, UH NO! Retro it was, but in no way relaxing. It's a second floor, no patio/balcony, poorly maintained studio bedroom with a kitchen/bath. There is nowhere to sit unless it's in a kitchen chair or on the bed and nowhere to put your clothes, not even a foldable suitcase stand like even the crappiest notel/motel offers. Paying what I pay for my home mortgage for a week of staying here, absolutely ridiculous, so disappointed in myself for deciding to choose this listing and in the owners for their lack of consideration for their guests. Kitchen ceiling falling down, window duct taped shut, molded caulk in the shower, dirty fans that hardly push air, refrigerator blocks more than half the entry way into the kitchen, one roll of toilet paper, and a butt roll of paper towels provided for a week long stay. We were also told there was an outside hose for washing off after the beach and a grill we could use, there were neither. George and Kathleen should be ashamed to profit from this joint. We are in our fifties and this was not a comfortable vacation.

The place was functional, clean enough (the bathroom could've used a little more attention), pet-friendly, cheaper than most other options, and there was only one building between it and the beach. I would definitely recommend a new mattress as some of the springs were broken and this made it hard to comfortably sleep on. Also, be aware that this is an old building, so the bathroom is small and the AC window unit had a hard time keeping up with the July heat. We appreciated the fans to help with that. Overall, our stay was good.

We absolutely loved it as it was the perfect little vacation destinations for my husband and I. We will definitely be back to stay again in the exact same building. We loved everything about it.

The place itself is located well and is very basic. Has some stuff to cook with, beach close enough to do a daily walk. Places deliver there and there's a laundromat up the street

Nice place

There wasnt anything fancy about this stay. It took care of all of our needs. The beach access was wonderful and very private beach experience. The only part that we really disliked was that there is not a patio. There is also stairs (15). This should be stated in the listing. My spouse has cancer and walks with a cane and we found it to be an issue. Otherwise very nice stay. Property owner was fast to respond. Also comes with 2 nice beach chairs.

This is the perfect place to stay as you visit historic Norfolk. The naval base is just minutes away as is the zoo. The Chesapeake Bay beaches are just a short 30 second walk away. Many fine restaurants are close as well as night spots! Parking is just outside the door around the perimeter of the building.
