Our cabin is conveniently located 1 mile outside of small town Dushore. It offers a private getaway on 40 acres of wooded land encompassing a creek, walking trails on the old railroad tracks and much more.
Our cabin has a long history dating back to being used as a railroad scale house. The property contains old railroad tracks used as walking trails along with miles of other walking trails
Great living space that is open to the loft which contains two beds. Private bedroom with a queen bed. Living space has a recliner and futon that can be used as a sleeping spot.
Full size kitchen with electric stove and refrigerator. A grill and outdoor Fire pit are provided for additional cooking options. Large deck with family seating overlooks the nearby creek running through the property
Worlds End State Park and Ricketts Glenn State Park are both located within 20 miles from along with many other walking and hiking trails
There is a propane stove in the living room for heating along with electric baseboard in the bedroom. We have an air condition installed in the living room during the summer months
This is a cabin in the woods. You may experience deer, bear, turkeys, and other animals on the property. You also may see mice, spiders, or bugs as you are on a property in the woods. Please don’t hunt on the property. Thank you
We have bundles of fire wood available for sale. You are welcome to bring your own or use fallen limbs on the property, just please don’t cut down trees. We have some outdoor seating for the fire pit but would suggest also bringing your own along with some outdoor games if you wish!
Thanks -Kelby and Markie.

Very clean and had just about everything you needed! The gas heater kept the whole place warm but there were plenty of blankets to keep warm under too. Definitely would recommend for a weekend away!
Prefect for a weekend away! The shack had everything we needed. The loft bedroom was a hit for our 7 year old. Beds were comfy and there were plenty of blankets. We were able to walk into town and also explored the old rail lines. West side deli was prefect to sit outside and eat lunch. Quick drive to Loyalsock for hiking. Make sure you pack warm, it gets chilly! Deck was great for a cup of coffee in the morning. Really a cool little spot especially if anyone in your family loves trains.
Short little fishing trip for our daughters Birthday. We loved our stay and wish we booked for even longer . Has everything you need and plenty of room for our pups to run around.
We really enjoyed this cozy cabin. Lots of space for the dog to explore and play. Cabin was clean and inviting. Felt like you are away from the world, yet close enough to nearby attractions.
Its a quiet cozy cabin which is far enough into the woods to feel comfortably secluded while still being reasonably close to the town of Dushore along with other local destinations.
This cabin was everything we needed and exactly how it was described online. If you're looking for a little slice of heaven getaway its here. We can't wait to come again in the near future.
Completely magical as always. It's our 5th stay at their cabin and we will come back here for every vacation in the future. Spending our Christmas here was extra special.
My hubby works in the oilfields in Dushore and I wanted to surprise him. Booked the cabin and I absolutely loved it! Definitely worth staying at again!
We've stayed here multiple times - it's the best! It has everything our family of four needs to enjoy the outdoors, get away for a bit, unplug, and relax. We spent all weekend exploring the creek, cooking on the campfire, hiking, and playing Yahtzee! It doesn't get any better that!
Thank you for staying at our cabin.
We went up as soon as you left and had messaged me saying the pipe was leaking and took care of it. Thank you for letting me know as it’s hard for us personally to be able to make it up there in between guests to look over everything with it being booked solid so I appreciate you messaging and letting me know so we could go fix it.
Thanks again and hope to have you back!

Very clean and comfortable cabin just outside of quaint little town of Dushore. Nice yard, stream and trail on property. Lots of wonderful places in the area to hike and get out and enjoy nature. We enjoyed the peace and serenity while also enjoying the convenience of being close to town for grabbing any necessities as needed. Overall a wonderful getaway and we plan to stay here again!
The cabin was clean & tidy. The inside was gorgeous. Since a peaceful place to stay . My dogs enjoyed the creek & having such space to play . Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful place with us .
This place is our paradise. It was our 3rd year coming here and we're already counting down the months until we return. It's so relaxing and peaceful. Have never had an issue with the property or the owners. I highly recommend this cabin.
What a wonderful, lovely cabin. It was very relaxing. It was refreshing to be around all that nature. We walked with our dogs on the trails several times a day. They enjoyed playing in the water, as did I. The owner was wonderful, answered my questions and sent me all the information needed the day before our trip.
My husband and I will be back, but for a longer time so we can hike Ricketts Glen and Worlds End.
Every year, my three brothers and I go camping together. It is the one time all year that we can get away and spend some time with each other. This cabin was perfect for us. Four of us were comfortable and the property was really beautiful. Fire pit was great, and the trails on the property were also a big plus. The town of Dushore was quaint and the couple of restaurants we ate at were delicious. It is also very close to Ricketts Glen State Park, which is absolutely gorgeous.
The cabin was nice and secluded even with the house across the street. We didnt see anyone or hear anyone there so it didnt make a difference and being from NY City, its definitely secluded. The house had all the amenities we needed and it was next to a nice trail and stream for the pups. Will def be returning in the future
Quaint and close to town location. 10 min at best to grab late night items, but secluded enough to take a deep relaxing breath. The fire pit and accent lights were a great touch. When the fire burns down, the stars were amazing. We noticed satellites moving and clusters of stars that you normally don’t notice from rural areas. Great find.

Not secluded
This cabin was beautiful, the grounds were beautiful, but false advertising saying its a secluded cabin, you sit on the deck and literally stare at the house across the street. I was really disappointed with this cabin, I booked this cabin with the intention of there being no one around but us, I wanted to get away from people and cars and noise.
Difficult to find (even with GPS) after dark with no lights on and no floodlight on the address in a very rural area.
Probably good in the summer but had no heat for a very cool fall night. Not my intent to work on getting a gas heater working while on vacation. Also, some concern with no venting with an inside gas heater.
