If you have a gathering or party event at the home you will be charged $50 per guest for all additional guest that are not listed on your reservation.

Overall quite ok

The property is located very close to French Quarter - a quick 10 minute drive away, so if you don’t have a car, taxi or Uber should not cost a lot. The neighborhood is rather rough, but the neighbors we met were friendly. The house itself is not in the best shape. We had a few issues arise with electrical panel and water (pressure and temperature). The owner was very responsive and tried to fix the problems quickly and I appreciate that. I just wish for the house to be updated and brought to a better overall shape. The windows and doors are very drafty and let in a lot of noise from the outside. The seating arrangement is rather poor as well - the sofa is not in the best shape, felt like it can break at any time. Kitchen knives NEED to be upgraded. The current ones are not sharp at all so were basically useless. If you plan on preparing meals on your own, you will struggle. There is insufficient amount of outlets throughout the house. There are extension cords, but it forces you to have your devices plugged in one space. There is no outlet in the bathroom (at least we couldn’t find any), so forget about using a hair dryer of electric shaver. Every flat surface of the house (coffee table, nightstands, cabinets) are full of knickknacks, so that prevents you from keeping your stuff on there. Also, the cleaning person NEEDS to also pay attention to dusting, because the ceiling fans, curtains and almost every single shelf were full of dust. This house has a huge potential to be a fantastic place for guests to stay and enjoy their time there, if the owner does needed upgrades and create more usable space instead of filling it with excessive decor.
