Furniture is old and uncomfortable; one recliner is broken and if not careful, it may tip over. Bath mats and towels are well worn and need to be replaced. Fortunately, we brought our own and were able to shower and dry off adequately.Limited housewares, few bowls for cereal or ice cream; but all in all, IT WAS A VERY PLEASANT STAY AND WE ENJOYED THE LOCATION AND AMENITIES!

From the Owner: "The furniture in the living room and dining room was just purchased in 2020. The condo was built in 2000, and we have been making improvements yearly. We have not had any complaints like this. There are plenty of bowls, cleaning supplies, towels, and bath mats."

Fun stay at shorehaven

Was very nice, the remotes weren't in the right rooms so we had to figure that out and light switches that went to what light was confusing. Location was great for us and amenities were very nice. We enjoyed the turtles in the pond behind the property.

Great location, pool and hot tub right there, walk to beach, close to supermarkets and gold courses. A couple of things in the unit could use a little tlc but it will not affect your stay in any way. Still give it a 5 star! Well furnished, linens, towels and amenities included

Could not use the windows

When we arrived we noticed that 2 of the 3 sliders did not have screens. We could not get any of the windows open. We called for help and were told that we should sleep in the room with the working screen. WE were told the owner new about the deficiencies and did not have any plans to fix during our stay. I have a hard time understanding how we were rented a place with known deficiencies.

We followed up with the homeowners, who assured us that the windows do open, though some are tight and require a bit more effort. They also let us know that they have been renting their property for years and have never received a complaint regarding a lack of screens in the doors. We would never rent out a home with known deficiencies; we simply weren't aware that this would be an issue for guests. We're sorry that this made your stay less enjoyable but hope you still had a great time in Myrtle Beach.

Great Value and so many things we love nearby.

We have stayed at this unit for several years in a row now and our family has enjoyed it and found everything we needed in the unit. It is about a block and a half to the beach but an easy walk. We load up a wagon with our gear and off we go. There are showers at the beach entrance directly in front of the development so you don't have to walk back covered in sand. There is a great Pizza Place across from the nearby IGA grocery store and the IGA grocery store has a huge deli, hot food bar and serves steamed seafood which we always take advantage of. The pool area and pool bathrooms are always very clean and the hose in the pool area comes in handy for rinsing off after returning from the beach. Our kids have grown while we've been coming here and so we recently discovered the wake board park a short drive away and they LOVE it! Looking forward to returning again this summer.

Complaining downstairs neighbors

We would not stay at this one condo again due to the neighbor's underneath they complained and was rude they need to contact a condo owner to take care of the squeak that they heard in the bedroom when we were waking up in the morning They left a letter on our door complaining we have no control over the floor creaking we had no complaints with the condo

Hoosiers to North Myrtle

Property was very nice,. Only complaint was listing was a little misleading. Stated 1 minute walk to beach. I took that to mean beach front not a block or more. But it was very nice and I would stay again.

Fairly nice condo! Thought the beach was a little closer. You do have to cross a street to get to the beach. Very nice quiet neighborhood..did like that. Never did figure out the TV in master bedroom which was a bummer. I like to unwind at night watching TV in bed. We did enjoy outside patio. Kitchen was nice and beds were pretty comfy. All in all pretty good stay.

Should not be a rental property

Our family rented this unit to be close to two other family friends who were staying in the complex. Before my arrival I received very nice email from the rental agency that our pool was broken so we could use the pool in the neighboring complex. Our group tried to use that pool and was VERY rudely approached by a resident who said we did not belong there and we had to leave. Luckily our children (9,11 and 12) had more grace in them and we peacefully left. Upon reflection, our group had been being watched by the residents who wanted to be sure we were following their rules. I emailed the rental agency with no response. Luckily (or not?) the weather turned cooler so the pool was no longer an issue, but the creep factor remained. Around our 4th day or so the entire complex was inundated by mosquito’s, something out of a horror movie. Bugs were EVERYWHERE, we had to run in and out to avoid them getting inside the unit, so gross. I don’t know that this is unit specific but speaks to the ew factor of the whole Shorehaven complex. The unit itself was fine enough, dated for sure but livable for a beach vacation.. the tv would freeze and the beds were creaky but we all slept fine and again, we were there for family, friends and the beach so who cares about the mild annoyance of the tv. For the volume of units availabile for rent in north Myrtle, I would never stay here again. The condo association and other residents clearly hate renters and the lakes surrounding the property had to have had a contributing bug factor. Find a more updated friendly rental on the beach.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and we wanted to share the following: - The owners and Evolve were informed that your group would be able to use the neighboring pool, but we're sorry to hear you had a negative experience with the residents of the complex. - The owners reached out to the HOA regarding the mosquitos. The HOA clarified that those bugs were gnats and not mosquitos. The city sprays regularly for mosquitos. The gnats are seasonal and don't happen all the time. While the bugs are out of the owner's control, we're sorry they made your stay less enjoyable. - We're sorry you were unhappy with the beds, but the owner has purchased new mattresses since your stay, which we believe will prevent future guests from sharing your experience.
