Oceanfront Carolina Beach condo, panoramic views and pool! Top floor sunrises!

Enjoy our slice of heaven at Cake by the Ocean! This beautifully designed oceanfront condo is perched in the best part of the building, top floor, with panoramic ocean views all around, perfect for a couple, small family, girls trip, surfer retreat or a mini double date getaway! Wake up to the sound of the ocean and enjoy your coffee on the balcony taking in the outstanding sunrise by the pier! The unit has one bedroom with a king bed, smart TV (Connect your Netflix or Hulu!) and bedside lamps with built-in USB chargers. The living room can host an additional two guests with a very comfortable pull out queen sofa bed with gel topper. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to enjoy a nice home cooked meal if you choose. Washer/Dryer in unit, and access to the outdoor pool steps away from the building with a privacy fence. Enjoy stepping back in time with our record player and collection of tunes to help you feel the beachy vibe! Use the tide clock to track the best times to hit the beach for a fun shell hunting excursion. We are a 4 minute walk to the nearest beach access, and a 3 minute walk to the Carolina Beach Pier, rated BEST waterfront dining in 2024 per Wilmington Magazine! A short 3-5 minute drive to the boardwalk where there is a ton of fun, food and shops!

A few things to note about the property:

- We are a top floor unit and unfortunately we do NOT have an elevator. There are four flights of stairs to get to our unit, but we promise the view is worth it! We like to let our guests know ahead of time so they can plan accordingly.

- Please note, we are an Oceanfront property, not a Beachfront property. It is a short 4 minute walk to the beach access, but directly in front of our unit you will see the rocks that protect the properties from the tide. Take a look at our photos off the balcony for reference.

Quiet hours from 10pm - 8am, no loud parties. If you are wearing a wetsuit please remove before sitting on furniture.
The unit has a two vehicle maximum. Parking passes will be provided. Additional cars will have to use public metered parking or risk being towed.

Wonderful getaway!

Really enjoyed our stay! Anthony, owner, was extremely responsive to my questions and even reached out during Tropical Storm Idalia to make sure we were ok. Appreciated the additional convenience items on site so we could pack lighter than normal. Definitely would recommend this property, beautiful view!

Great property

We had a really good and relaxing stay. The amenities were as described. My wife has a bad knee and I wish we had known we were going to be climbing the stairs as much as we were. Other than that, no complaints.

Nice Weekend Getaway

We loved the balcony! The condo was super clean and the bed super comfy. The cable in the living room was greatly appreciated. Just be ready for the three flights of stairs. Slight walk to the beach as there is a rock jetty right in front of the condo. We just sat on the balcony which got sun until mid afternoon. It was lovely!

Summer Vibes at CB

You will enjoy the view and the beach vibes at Cake by the Ocean. Listening to the waves, watching the sunrise in the morning, and admiring the surfers in the afternoon while we sat on the balcony was so relaxing. It’s only a 3 minute walk to the beach access where the sand is soft and there’s plenty of space to set up your umbrella and chairs. This condo has everything you need and more to enjoy your stay. Anthony and Kirsten are very quick to respond to messages. We would absolutely stay here again!

The view was spectacular and the beach was nice and wide. There was availability of excellent restaurants nearby. Loved sitting out on balcony and listening to the waves. They did a very nice job of putting a booklet together with everything we needed to know while we were there and did an excellent job of keeping us informed of things that were going on while we were there. Quiet neighborhood or at least it was in the Spring while we were there. Felt like we cared for by the owners even though we didn't know each other.

The Cake is All the Waves!

We fell in love with Carolina Beach all over again! There is absolutely no need to travel to a more distant beach. The oceanfront view from the condo is spectacular! Listening to the roar of the waves was a lullaby through the night. The residents and beachgoers were quiet and respectful. The space is clean and well-decorated, and the bed is comfy. Our go-to is Michael's Seafood, but perhaps personal restaurant suggestions/directions and tutorials for remotes would be helpful, but no biggie. The Cake is a tasty retreat that will meet any couple's needs. We enjoyed it wave after wave!

We happened to arrive just as the nor’easter was blowing through. Turns out it was the perfect low key fall break watching the drama of the waves crash on the rocks. As close to the ocean as you are going to get! The place had everything you might need and the bottle of bubbly was a nice surprise. Would definitely come back.

I really enjoyed staying at the apartment. A couple of comments for others. It is on 3rd floor - up 41 steps. And the kitchen is quite small with a very old dishwasher. The sound of the waves crashing on the rocks is quite loud. I liked it but my wife prefers a bit more quiet. Having noted these points, I would say again really enjoyed our stay there - walking the beach and visiting other nearby beaches.

Great Property!

The property was as advertised. The views were amazing! We could even see the fireworks on the boardwalk. The property owners were very responsive when contacted. There was a small check in delay which was out of the owner’s control. The owners went above and beyond to make it right. Thank you so much for a great stay. Our family would definitely stay again.

Clean and sweet

The condo was very clean, and decorated nicely. It has a 60's surfer vibe decor. The record player was really cool to show the kids, and we listened to some vinyls from which there was a good selection!

We are avid travelers who love sharing our knowledge of the best things to do or see wherever we go. Huge foodies - if you need any recommendations based on your cravings just say the word. We love walking the beach and enjoy hosting our slice of heaven so others can enjoy the best Carolina Beach has to offer. Being steps away from one of the biggest hot spots on the island at the CB Pier makes any stay a fun one!

Why they chose this property

We love being on the North End of the island. The CB Pier has excellent drinks and food, and always has a fun event going down! It stays a bit quieter on this side which we prefer vs. the business of the boardwalk, but it's nice knowing we are a very short drive (or bike/scooter ride!) to all the fun.

If you are one who prefers the quieter side of your stay with the option to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the island mere minutes away, you will love our spot!

What makes this property unique

We took great care in designing a retro, yet beachy chic vibe for Cake by the Ocean. Every piece of artwork was hand picked, and we strive to make sure our guests have everything they need to enjoy their stay. Our balcony features polywood chairs with a connecting table to enjoy your book or coffee with convenience.

Being on the top floor in a corner unit, you have the BEST panoramic views of the ocean from the bedroom. Additionally, no one above you means no noise coming down as you relax.
