Self-catering cottage between land and sea

Old terraced house on the square of a rural village of 300 inhabitants, quiet and calm a few kilometers from the beaches of the Opal Coast. (Ste Cécile 5 minutes) between Le Touquet and Boulogne sur mer.

Easy access by highway, exit 5 kms. The village is far from main roads, in the middle of the Boulogne countryside, whose colorful and varied landscapes are the most attractive.

Cottage of 60 m² on one level which can accommodate up to 6 people
with 2 bedrooms, mezzanine, private courtyard, raised and fenced garden with games, swing, closed and private parking.
The owner is an art craftsman, he creates and restores traditional leaded stained glass and antique tinted glass, an ancestral technique unchanged for 9 centuries. the visit of the workshop and the presentation of the know-how of the medieval glassmaker are free. A most pleasant stay

As a small family with a newborn we were looking for a gite that was close to everything by car but also calmly located. The gite was perfect and there is lots in the area to do and to see. The gite itself was perfectly suited for all our needs. The kitchen is very well equipped! Pierre was a tremendous host and we enjoyed our two weeks to the outmost. Merci beaucoup!

Lovely location from which to explore. The host, Pierre, was welcoming and has a great detailed book with complete information on all that you need to know. Please note that you must ring your own linens. Would def recommend.

Gîte rural renover avec climatisation dans un village très calme . Je n'ai entendu que 2 motos en 1 semaine ! Est encore à peine quelques secondes ! On se retrouve en pleine campagne la famille à apprécier le calme . Une mezzanine ou les enfants peuvent jouer ou une personne écrire. Équipé d ' un petit bureau . Petite cour pour manger au calme. Gemütlich ruhiges Ferienhaus

Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen, das Haus war dem Preis entsprechend eingerichtet und auch so beschrieben. Herr Lequien, der Vermieter, ist sehr Freundlich, jederzeit Hilfsbereit. Die Verständigung erfolgte zwar nur mit ein paar Worten auf Englisch, funktionierte aber irgendwie. Wir hatten allgemein den Eindruck, das die Franzosen nicht so gerne, oder garnicht Englisch sprechen können (oder wollen....), aber das war alles kein Problem. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig und erlebenswert, und auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert.

Netter Vermieter. Die Wohnung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen

Die Wohung wurde im Jahr 2000 fertig gestellt. Seitdem wurde nicht viel daran getan. Schimmel im Badezimmer. Die Schlösser von Haustür und Hoftür funktionieren nicht richtig. Wackelige Steckdosen. Matrazen fleckig.

Très bien

Un gîte spacieux, très bien décoré, très bien situé dans le calme d'une vraie campagne, mais seulement à quelques minutes de la forêt et de la mer (avec des plages de sable immenses). Le propriétaire est très sympa et est une mine de renseignements et de conseils sur sa région. De plus c'est un artiste qui nous a fait découvrir son métier et son amour pour le vitrail. Il a même su passionner nos enfants (10 et 13 ans) sur cet art (quel exploit). Un très bon séjour que je conseille vivement. Nous y reviendrons.

a pleasant surprise

We didn't expect to find such a lovely place in the village of Widehem . This basic traditional gîte was up to our expectations. The proprietor is very friendly and generous with his time to give tips about things to do in the area. Only 15mns from the sea, 30 from Boulogne (Nausicaa, really worth a visit) or Le Touquet, where we found loads to do and great restaurants. The market in Etaples is typical and colorful and the beaches are really splendid! You need to take your car to do things as there is very little in the village, but lots of beautiful walks are possible around. A great holiday at a reasonable price! We'll return!
