Waikanae Beach Escape - your perfect escape awaits...

Hello! Welcome to Waikanae Beach Escape - the ideal place for a couples getaway or a peaceful spot for a solo traveller. We can't wait to host you at our favourite hideaway!

Just a five minute stroll from the shore and a hop, skip & a jump from local cafes, nature and entertainment you will have plenty to do (just take a look through our guidebook if you are in need of some inspiration)!

If a slow pace is what you are looking for - indulge in take out from one of our favourite eateries (we are looking at you Long Beach!) followed by a soak in the outdoor clawfoot bath under the twinkling stars.

We are positive that in Waikanae Beach there is something for everyone (but you'll have to come visit to believe it!)



Good To Know:

Before you arrive, you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. The process takes on average 4 minutes, involves taking a selfie and uploading your ID and is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email or text to complete the process.

We will also send you through a rental agreement to read and complete.

Please complete these steps prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process. If you have any questions feel free to get in touch.

Our cosy hideaway may be petite in size and suitable for only one or two, but makes up for it with its beachy character and our modern take on kiwi bach vibes. The bedroom (queen bed) + living area flows into a kitchenette perfect for a light breakfast, making a cup of tea or filling up your hot water bottle!
We do not have an oven or cooking hobs (just a microwave), which means you have the perfect excuse to try out all the good food that Waikanae Beach has to offer! We love giving out our recommendations, so do not hesitate to ask!

All linen, towels and shampoo + conditioner are provided, and we have Netflix, Neon and Freeview on the TV so you can binge watch the night away if that's what you are in the mood for!

House Rules:
Although the main rule is to relax and enjoy yourself - there are a few "housekeeping" notes we should point out!

1. We LOVE animals, and know how hard it is to leave home without your fur babies. So if you are like us, and you love bringing your pup away with you on vacation, please keep in mind the following:
- Let us know when you are bringing your dog along
- Please bring a bowl and bedding for them (and please keep their wee paws off the furniture)
- All toilet visits should be outside, please pick up after them!
-If any damage or accidents occur during your stay please let us know ASAP
- The $10 per pet per night pet fee is applicable for dogs of any size
- take note that our property is not fenced, so you will need to keep fido on a leash while outside

2. This is an obvious one - but absolutely no smoking and/or illegal drug use inside the bach.

3. Please park your car on the quiet road in front of the bach (and not on the driveway to the right)

4. Please respect the privacy of the guests staying in Waikanae Beach Abode and do not enter that side of the fence

5. We cannot accept bookings of more than 28 nights at a time

Other Important Details To Note:


Your access to Waikanae Beach Escape will be with a unique code for the smart lock, you will receive your door code at 9AM on the morning of your reservation start date you can then proceed at your leisure and check yourself in at any time that suits you from 3PM!

If you are interested in purchasing an early check-in get in touch and we can help you to upgrade your vacation to kick off early (subject to availability, so don't sleep on it!)

Guest Access:

We have two buildings on our property. Waikanae Beach Escape is the bach to the left (Unit 3A) while the 3 bedroom home on the right (Unit 3) is Waikanae Beach Abode. Waikanae Beach Abode is also available to book if you want to bring along more friends or family! The two houses are divided by a fence, but share the beginning of the driveway. If you have not booked both properties, please respect the other guests by not crossing over the fence, or parking on their driveway.
