We’d love to have you back anytime for another relaxing escape. Thanks again for choosing to stay with us!
The space was very clean. It was exactly as portrayed. Very secluded and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. Since I was not there much, I did not do any cooking. I sat outside each morning to have coffee and watched the deer go by.

Thank you so much for your review. We are happy to heat that you enjoyed the bed, bathroom, and morning coffee while watching deer. We hope to host you again in the future!
Our stay was very comfortable, and the scenery on the property is wonderful. It's definitely a place I'd like to rent again, and while I wish I could give more than four stars, I would like to mention a couple of complaints that I had while renting:-The "host" or whoever they are claimed we had enough towels, but the extra towels for bathing were stocked on the highest shelf in the kitchen- thankfully I could extend myself just enough to reach them, as my partner is way too short to reach those. Additionally, the person we communicated with said that we could use the garage to wash anything as needed, and after trying to get into the garage using the same passcode, nothing worked. I contacted the person again, and I didn't get a response until many hours later, in which they told me that it was a "miscommunication with the owners" and that it was off limits. I just found it very odd that I didn't know if I was dealing with an individual or an enterprise company, and that they would very poorly communicate something that would seem like very sensitive info. To the owners, I would suggest to please be more clarifying and assertive in your answers, as this was slightly inconvenient for our stay.-I also would like to mention that while I know we are in the woods, I found it very frustrating that bugs kept coming under the front door of the metal building. I have seen other reviews that mentioned the same thing- please do the simple fix and get something for under the door.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you found the stay comfortable and enjoyed the scenery, and we appreciate you sharing these concerns.
We’re sorry for the confusion around the towels and garage access—that kind of miscommunication is frustrating and we understand how that impacted your stay. We’ll be addressing this with our team to ensure clearer, more consistent information is provided going forward.
We also appreciate you pointing out the issue with bugs coming in under the door. That’s helpful feedback, and we’ll look into solutions to improve that for future guests.
Lavender Fields was the perfect getaway for just the two of us. Thank you and looking forward to visiting again

Attached to a garage so it looks a little strange from the outside, but was really nice on the inside and perfect for a couple wanting to stay on the Blanco River. The property is really nice too with a maintained trail and stairway down to the river.

My wife and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary in this lovely cabin, just outside of Wimberly. The cabin was clean and well appointed, and we enjoyed watching the deer wandering through the trees in front of us in the morning and evenings. The hosts were very friendly, but very careful to not be intrusive, and helped in every way whenever requested. We loved access to the swimming lakes near by, and would definitely return to stay here again if we head back to that part of Texas.

Broken chair
The walkway that’s were overgrown with tall grass, had a cute porch for drinking coffee in the morning but one of the rocking chairs was broken. There was coffee but not any coffee filters. It was peaceful and beautiful property just was not maintained right.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting and the porch, but we’re sorry to hear about the maintenance issues. We’ll address them to help improve the experience for future guests.
We stayed at this property in June 2022. It’s not in the center of town but it’s close enough to drive to wherever you need to go in Wimberley. That’s what we liked and wanted. There were Fox and deer both times we stayed, which I enjoyed A LOT! I’m a nature buff and huge animal lover, so the little family of foxes that were there this year made the trip for me. It’s a quiet &
peaceful cabin that’s perfect for a couples getaway.

Thank you for your review. You were a delight to host. You are welcome back anytime, we hope to see you again soon!
The Lavender was so clean and comfortable! It was the perfect place for my husband and I to be alone and relax for our anniversary. We enjoy driving into the beautiful country, so this was a perfect 15-20 minute drive to Wimberley for us. It’s also within reasonable driving distance to many other interesting places like Dripping Springs, Blanco, Fredericksburg. The bed was incredibly comfortable! And the sheets and towels smelled so good. There’s a trail you can walk to the river bed. It was dry when we were there, but still a nice walk. We saw deer. It was honestly one of the best experiences we’ve had. We highly recommend this place for a quiet, comfortable stay.

Thank you so much for your glowing review! We’re thrilled to hear that The Lavender was the perfect spot for you and your husband to celebrate your anniversary. It sounds like you had a wonderful time exploring the beautiful countryside and the nearby areas, and we’re glad you enjoyed the trail to the riverbed and even got to see some deer! We’re also so happy to hear that you found the bed comfortable and the sheets and towels to your liking. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we’d be honored to welcome you back for another relaxing stay in the future!
Everything was great. Being in the woods obviously will bring more spiders, and crickets, and other random insects. So don’t panick
A strip under the front door would help the extra guests from hanging out with us. lol
We cooked steaks out on the grill, and enjoyed the complete darkness and quiet life. During the day we explored surrounding areas like Johnson city. We also love Wimberley in general, and has great food options to dine out.
Check out time said 10 in most places so we left right before 10. But a couple papers inside said 11.
Overall cozy, calm, and away from the big city lights and noise.

Thank you for your detailed review! We're so glad to hear you enjoyed the peaceful, quiet surroundings and made the most of the grill and outdoor space. We appreciate your understanding about the insects—it’s definitely part of being close to nature! We appreciate your feedback! We're also sorry about the confusion with the check-out time and will make sure the 10 am posting is consistent. It’s great that you had a chance to explore Johnson City and Wimberley, too! We hope to welcome you back again soon for more cozy, quiet moments.
Very cute and cozy. However, we experienced some problems with spiders indoors.. lots of them. We did communicate this with management and they apologized for discomfort. They confirmed that they would address the problem before the next guest, which is good! Wifi only works outside the property. Best signal out in the porch. We did have to disconnect the air freshener plugins when we arrived because they were soooo strong and instantly gave us a headache. If you're sensitive to fragrance I highly suggest you communicate with owner before check-in to maybe disconnect their air fresheners before you come in. The bathroom sink was beautiful but really tall as well as kitchen cabinets. If you're short, bring a step stool. No iron or ironing board on property... bring your own if you need one. Overall it's a very cute property and I wish I could give more stars, but unfortunately the spider situation was very disturbing, inside and out. Problem should be solved and hopefully door will be sealed before next guest so you should be good.
The place was cute but the dishes still had food on them.Stuck on old food on utensils. The grill had food stuck on it and ashes were not cleaned out of it .It was very peaceful and we'll equipped.Watching the deer and birds in mornings was nice

One of the best things was the stair access to the river bed. My dog and I spent a good deal of time exploring the area. Everything inside was well organized and easy to find. Additionally, you are not far from hiking trails, Canyon Lake, and some really nice wineries. I would definitely consider coming back.
