This was the perfect getaway for 1 or 2 couples. It was peaceful and tranquil with exquisite views. The house was immaculate and it was in a great location for exploring beaches and other activities.That was all great but was Kelies help and suggestions that made the stay memorable. I highly recommend the catered sushi dinner, Rudy is amazing!I strongly suggest renting an all wheel drive vehicle cause you’re at the top of a steep hill.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed Casa Verde, the views, and our recommendations — Rudy’s sushi dinner really is special! Just to clarify for future guests, Casa Verde is about 350 feet up, which gives us those beautiful views. Our road is paved, unlike many hillside roads in the area, and I drive my small 4-cylinder Hyundai up and down daily without any problem. AWD isn’t necessary for reaching Casa Verde, although it can be helpful if you plan to explore more remote mountain areas. We loved having you!

Where to begin!?Kelie was an EXCEPTIONAL host! All of her recommendations, and help with booking tours/excursions was top notch!We were able to experience so much on our family vacation!The pool and outdoor grill/table was a wonderful oasis to chill after a long day of fun!The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed!Great location! Close to Jaco and so many fun excursions like zip lining, beach, atv rides, rainforest tours, and more!This was a safe, clean, exceptional stay for our family of four (children ages 14, & 12).Thank you, Kelie

Kellie was the best host we have ever had and we have stayed in at least 2 dozen VRBO properties over the years. She was so informative and had many great recommendations. The house and view were wonderful. We loved exploring this part of Costa Rica, but our favorite place was the pool. Many restaurants close by. We had a great trip!

We had the most enjoyable stay at this property! It was just as described, clean, specious, perfect for a family of four. The views were just incredible! I enjoyed my morning coffee in the hammock waiting for the sunrise- each morning I was greeted by beautiful macaws that like to visit the trees around this home.We enjoyed the pool after morning excursions, best thing to not have to share a pool with strangers and it was so relaxing.Kelie is the best host I have ever met! Communication is flawless. She will answer every question you may have quickly and add so much more info that is super useful. She knows Costa Rica so well and will help book tours or even a car rental. All of Kelie's restaurant recommendations were fabulous!Do not hesitate to book this property if you are planning a visit. I hope to return soon!

The host Kellie was amazing! Kellie gave us great food and excursion recommendations and set things up for us with local connections she has. The home was excellent and the view from the backyard and pool were some of the best in Costa Rica! We spent days in the pool and watched the parrots, tucáns and other animal life from our view of a big beautiful valley and the ocean where we also enjoyed massages from the patio! We saw many other rentals here in Costa Rica that we almost booked and are very glad we didn’t. We will be back to Casa Verde again for sure!!!

Paradise!

Casa Verde did not disappoint!!!! Kelie was the perfect host!The property is nestled into the mountain with spectacular views! Stunning sunrises from pool. Observed friendly white face monkeys, wildlife and many margaritas !

Property is better than the pics - spacious and clean and beautiful!

We were 5 ladies on a girls trip and enjoyed every minute of our private party at this house. The beach is easily accessible by car and the backyard bar was the greatest hangout. The locals made us feel so safe and at home. We will definitely be returning to Casa Verde and Playa Hermosa - it was a little slice of heaven!

An Amazing Stay!

Our family stayed here for a week and it was wonderful! The pool is great and warm at night, the house was very clean and roomy, and the location is great. Lots of day trips around the area as well as pristine beaches both at the bottom of the hill (2 minute drive) and in either direction on the highway. We loved all the restaurants close by. Lots of bird watching from the pool, saw a few toucans. Kelie was an amazing host and very helpful, providing great tips for the area. Highly recommend staying here!

Awesome secluded property

We had an incredible stay at this mountain retreat with a stunning ocean view! The house was impeccably clean, extremely comfortable, and perfectly located in a central spot to our activities and restaurants. It had all the amenities our family needed, making it feel like a home away from home.Kelie was exceptionally knowledgeable and provided us with a plethora of fantastic ideas for activities. Beautiful adventure!

Location worked well for us, just on outskirts of town. Enjoyed morning coffee outside and watching the birds - the views were magnificent! Our daily adventures included the monkey mangrove tour, Manuel Antonio National Park, boogie boarding, surfing, the scenic drive Kelie recommended, walking the miles of beaches (Hermosa and Esterillos were our favorites), and more! We are already making plans to return. Thank you both Kelie and Jenn for an unforgettable week!

Family stay - Fun time - Great people

The house is convenient to beaches and towns while shouldering forest land. The home is lovely and the hosts are kind and generous. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished it could have been a bit longer... For those who are interested in wildlife: While at the house and hiking in the neighborhood we enjoyed watching toucans, monkeys, scarlet macaws, poison dart frogs and a variety of other wildlife. For those who are looking for creature comforts: The house has all the comforts one could need or want.

Amazing Trip

We stayed in Kelie's Casa Verde for a few days on a couples' trip to Costa Rica. This was a fantastic spot. The home was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed --- from a blender for fresh fruit smoothies to rain ponchos to borrow for a hike through the jungle. We loved the patio with the pool and outdoor grill. The view is spectacular and pictures do not do it justice. Kelie is an excellent host and was quick and responsive to our questions. She also helped us set up a guided tour through the national park in Manuel Antonio. She is well-versed in the area and all of the restaurants she recommended were A. We had a wonderful time and can't wait for our next opportunity to visit!

The best VRBO I have ever stayed at

We travel a lot and this was the best experience I have ever had. The property owner is on the property but not so close that you don't have privacy. She went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She helped with the car service, rental car recommendation, discounts on excursion and the inside scoop on the best places to go. The private pool on the property was an amazing place to hang out in the heat of the day and just relax. Fresh eggs, fruit and coffee were waiting for us after a long journey. I can't recommend this place enough!

Great quiet view of Playa Hermosa

WOW! The pictures only do it half the justice that it actually is. Great location to explore the area. Quiet and safe. The owner lives in the house adjacent to it and is a wealth of knowledge to help you make your own discoveries. The property works perfect for 2 couples with bedrooms and on suite bathrooms on opposite ends of the house. Fully stocked kitchen so that you can cook in if you choose. FANTASTIC!

Had a wonderful vacation!!

The house is located on top of a hill at playa Hermosa. The view is amazing... every morning when I stepped outside it was just so breathtaking for me. Breakfast in front of the pool and ocean view couldn’t be better. Kelly and Chuck are nice and friendly hosts and we didn‘t miss anything during our stay. The house was very big for us two but we appreciated the two bed and badrooms. If I ever come back to Costa Rica I will definitely book Casa Verde or the smaller la Casita again :)!

Outstanding property with gorgeous ocean views

Casa Verde is beautiful, clean and fully equipped for the perfect vacation...from fresh eggs to surfboards! Pool was sparkling clean, and the view of the ocean from the hammock on the covered patio is like a post card. We saw and heard magnificent scarlet macaws and green parrots. Kelie was welcoming, gracious, and available if needed. You will not be disappointed once you discover Casa Verde! ❤ We will return on our next visit.
