Unique Estuary & Bird Apartment in Te Haumi Paihia
PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION COMPLETELY
Enjoy your stay in Paihia in our super comfy semi-rural family home. We live at the end of a cul-de-sac street, with a stunning view over the native bush and you can see the Te Haumi river meandering through the mangroves.
Far away from the big city noise but so close to town for excursions, restaurants, adventures, history and even if it's just for drinks.
Ferries just 5 min away, boat ramp just 2 min away! Perfect family home!
We got already 70 plus excellent reviews from other booking websites - don't hesitate to book now.
Our house sleeps easily 10 adults (2 in each room plus living room), and we have one small rollaway available, the couch can be used as a sleeping spot and we have a cot on request. If you book for 12 adults, be aware this is just a 4 bedroom house. We had many groups staying that were active outdoors all day and only retired for the night - so this comes then as a bargain.
Otherwise, you can easily sleep 8 adults and 4 children (the bunk bed is a regular single mattress on top, double mattress and move-out trundler) plus rollaway bed in wardrobe and cot in wardrobe. Please note, that the amount of bathrooms stays the same: 1 toilet, one bathroom and one shower with toilet.
Both rollaway and cot free of charge but please let us know you require them to be set up and we happily assist with this.

Very nice location close to Paihia and very quiet at night. Everything we needed was available and the host was friendly. Would love to come back one time!
Fitted our requirements perfectly for BOIs Sailing Week.

Thanks so much for taking your time to leave us this awesome review! Highly appreciated! You're always welcome back in our home in the beautiful Bay of Islands.
Very clean and with lovely ascetics. Beautiful views from the deck. Truly lovely. Very Helpful friendly hosts who let us use their hair dryer and straightener. Much appreciated. Comfortable beds. Only a minor issue for me on one of the single beds with the sheets. I wondered if the sheets were synthetic as they felt very hot.

Thank you for your lovely review! Highly appreciated!
About the bed: I wonder if the electric blanket was switched on by accident? Every bed is equipped with one and all the sheets are the same, just different sizes..
A really lovely Bach with everything you need and helpful hosts. There's a big, rambling garden below and there's also a walking track at the end of the driveway. Paihia and the car ferry to Russell are both just a short drive away.
Great place to stay if you have pets or not, I find allot of places that allow dogs are dirty and old, this is not the case at all here! very clean you would not know they allow dogs and modern. Also lots of not expected extras provided which is great :) Thank you
We enjoyed staying at this property about 5mins drive from Paihia. It was a tidy, modern property that was well stocked with towels, toiletries and kitchen basics. We were expecting a 4 bedroom standalone house but it was 3 bedroom with the owners staying underneath. Garden was lovely with deck to sit on to hear the tuis. Host was very friendly and helpful and provided fresh eggs and milk.

About the host
Hosted by Michaela Radenkovic
We're both born and bred in Germany. After becoming a couple, we started our journey all over the world until we arrived in beautiful New Zealand in 2013. We created a nice lifestyle in the Bay of Islands - and it seems we're here for good!
During your stay, there might be other holiday guests in the second, separate flat downstairs. There's no internal access and both have their own entrance and driveway, therefore there's guaranteed privacy. But if you have any questions or wishes, we're just up the road.
Why they chose this property
Nicely tucked away in a cul-de-sac with ultimate privacy but still very close to town and all amenities! Bush and ocean meet here with all its native flora and birds!
We're right between Paihia and the car ferry in Opua - both 4 minutes away. The next boat ramp is only 1 minutes away, right next to the Te Haumi river joining the ocean.

The whole upstairs area with over 140 sqm is yours. The house has lots of character, lots of space, with a couple of touch ups from our home country as well as local art.
