In this lovely house you'll be basking in mountain beauty, not only from the expansive covered decks, but also from the living room, kitchen and master suite. Views all around! This rental offers outdoor amenities like a hot tub (with a view!) and a fire pit for evening enjoyment. Can't beat s'mores and star gazing around the fire! Best of all, the home is just a few minutes' walk down the hill to the New River common area. From here you can swim, fish, canoe, kayak or tube in the gentle waters – safe for all ages. There's also a picnic table for family fun at the river's edge.

Inside you'll find a spacious, airy home with lots of windows and natural light. On the main level, the wood floor gleams with reflected light from the bright cathedral ceiling and wall of windows. This is the perfect spot for relaxing in front of the large TV and catching a movie at the end of a day of outdoor adventure. You'll also enjoy the ambiance of a natural wood fire in the stone fireplace. The home's kitchen is large and well-equipped for family meals, with a breakfast table for 4 and an adjacent dining room with seating for 8. A grill on the deck perfectly accommodates summer meals, just steps away from the kitchen.

The main level also includes a bedroom with a queen bed and an en-suite bath, as well as a convenient half-bath. Upstairs you'll find the large, private master suite, with Texas-sized bathroom with a separate shower and tub. You don't even have to get out of bed to soak in the view each morning. The lower level offers two more bedrooms – one with a queen bed; the other with two sets of bunkbeds. An additional family room provides an extra TV – perfect for the kids – with a game table, another fridge, and a laundry room.

Whatever your vacation objectives are, from River Hills Vistas you'll have easy access to the adventure and sightseeing opportunities in the High Country. Outdoor recreation opportunities include fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, canoeing, tubing, zip-lining, cave exploration, mining for gems and more. Nearby attractions include Grandfather Mountain, Mount Jefferson State Park, and the Tweetsie Railroad.

The rental home is located about 10 minutes north of Jefferson and 15 minutes from downtown West Jefferson. There you'll find a charming assortment of shopping, antique stores, art galleries and dining. This is small-town Americana at its finest. You can watch cheese being made at the Ashe County Cheese Factory, grab a movie, or attend the farmers market on the weekends. You can also check out 30 minutes Boone and Blowing Rock, for countless additional shopping and dining opportunities.

From River Hills Vistas you'll also be set to explore the game lands at Pond Mountain (less than 40 minutes) and Grayson Highlands State Park (35 minutes), both accessed through scenic back roads. Pond Mountain offers some of the most remarkable wide-angle views in the county. You can stop in Lansing for pizza at Pie on the Mountain, or visit the Molley Chomper Cidery for a taste of their many fun flavors.
