We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary with a trip to this cabin! The views from the cabin were absolutely stunning and took our breath away. The inside of the house was very clean and welcoming. The fireplace was definitely a plus. We were able to see turkeys, deer, and cows from the cabin. Our three kids loved the whole experience, making it even more special. The cabin itself was very cozy and comfortable, perfect for a family getaway. The hot tub was clean and private, with a door from the downstairs bedroom straight to the hot tub, which was perfect when we had put the kids to bed. Overall, it was a truly unforgettable trip, and we definitely plan to rent the cabin again.
We had a great time on a short trip over spring break. This is a great location for access to Grayson Highlands for hiking and West Jefferson for anything else. It's about 25 min to each one. The house had everything we needed and was very quiet and peaceful.
Fourth time our group of fly fishers have stayed here. Besides the closeness of streams to fish, there are many other activities and sites to visit for non fishers. The property is always super clean and has everything you need for meal prep and cooking. Owner promptly replies to any request or question.
This cabin is in a beautiful private location nestled in the hills. It had everything we needed (amenities and peace) for a mountain getaway. We'll definitely come back again!
Awesome house. Very clean. Great views. Lots of wildlife and privacy. Hot tub was great.

Great home in peaceful, private location. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed a float down the New River and time with family and friends. We partied till the cows came home, which was about 8:30. 😅
Spent a whole week. The house is beautiful, all photos accurate. Well designed and spacious. When at the house spent most of our time on back deck watching the cows or using the hot tub. Never turned the tv on. Bed was comfortable, lines and towels nice quality. Would definitely return and recommend to friends.

peace of Heaven
The owners must know alot about staying in cabins because they have thought of everything! This cottage is amazingly clean, seems new, quiet, and very peaceful. The master bed is comfortable and the adjoining bathroom is spacious. White towels, lots of light, smart TV, well-stocked kitchen, wrap around covered deck - all add to a relaxing time. My favorite part was eating breakfast at the outside table - early morning coffee and mountain mist. The manicured lawn and horses in connecting field just added charm. We'll be returning, next time, with my grandchildren!
This cabin is so lovely and perfectly situated to take advantage of what this area has to offer. Grayson Highlands State Park is about 20 min, and that is where we spent the most time during the day. Coming back to this picturesque home to watch the wildlife and soak in the hot tub was a big bonus. The AC was on the fritz during on visit but we chose to go anyway rather than reschedule. The owner purchased several fans and the evenings stayed cool.
The house was spacious and well stocked, the surrounding area around the house was my absolute favorite. Cows grazing directly behind the house, deer strolling around, turkeys visible in the distant woods- the wildlife was just beautiful! The hot tub at night while stargazing was also a huge plus! Only downside was the AC was broken during our short stay there. Wasn’t a huge bother since opening the windows at night cooled off the house quite a bit- but definitely could be a problem in the heat of summer
This was a perfect stay for a family and gathering with friends in the area. The location is just right— a beautiful mountain escape and close to the adorable town of Lansing with an awesome cidery (Molley Chompers— highly recommended), a few restaurants and shops. Even an art studio where you can book classes (Lost Province)! Thank you to the hosts for a wonderful stay.
4 of us thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful natural light and scenery from inside as we cooked and played board games in the evenings. We hiked at Grayson Highland Park, saw snow and ice and even 3 wild ponies. Then, downtown we enjoyed The Liar’s Bench , and especially the Coffee Shop. The town of Lansing is recovering beautifully and appreciating with kindness and warmth, the tourism as it returns after Helene.
Lancing family Xmas vacation/ 4th year anniversary
This property is amazing. The owner had Xmas decorations out for us and made the whole place magical. This was a surprise gift for my kids and they loved it. Was a much need family trip! Thank you!
We had a wonderful stay here! I will say that the internet was very weak and spotty, so the tv never really picked up a signal. HOWEVER, that was a blessing in disguise for us! It forced our children to go outside and be kids. We played games together, went on hikes up the hill to see the cows and gorgeous views, caught firefly’s, made smores by the fire pit, read books and spent quality time together…it was perfect! My kids needed a device detox anyway!
The upstairs shower does make a screaming noise so my children were afraid to use it, but it was fine. My only suggestion would be to add a hammock on the porch, I could have spent all day and night in that!
We didn’t want to leave! Thankyou for sharing your cabin with us. We’ll definitely return!
While we spent all day Saturday, the 15th, at the Festival at Grayson Highlands State Park, we greatly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Nice kitchen for breadfasts and dinners. We enjoyed the porches and eating outdoors. Lots of bird activity. Nice quiet spot.
This was our third stay. It’s a great cabin just secluded enough. Owners are excellent and checked in on us after a big storm went through the area. Highly recommend.
This is my second time staying here and just as before - it was awesome. It’s a short 20 min drive to Grayson Highlands Park and allows for a quiet, secluded, relaxing stay away. I plan to return again next year!
