We had a great time on a short trip over spring break. This is a great location for access to Grayson Highlands for hiking and West Jefferson for anything else. It's about 25 min to each one. The house had everything we needed and was very quiet and peaceful.
Fourth time our group of fly fishers have stayed here. Besides the closeness of streams to fish, there are many other activities and sites to visit for non fishers. The property is always super clean and has everything you need for meal prep and cooking. Owner promptly replies to any request or question.
This was a perfect stay for a family and gathering with friends in the area. The location is just right— a beautiful mountain escape and close to the adorable town of Lansing with an awesome cidery (Molley Chompers— highly recommended), a few restaurants and shops. Even an art studio where you can book classes (Lost Province)! Thank you to the hosts for a wonderful stay.
Lancing family Xmas vacation/ 4th year anniversary
This property is amazing. The owner had Xmas decorations out for us and made the whole place magical. This was a surprise gift for my kids and they loved it. Was a much need family trip! Thank you!
4 of us thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful natural light and scenery from inside as we cooked and played board games in the evenings. We hiked at Grayson Highland Park, saw snow and ice and even 3 wild ponies. Then, downtown we enjoyed The Liar’s Bench , and especially the Coffee Shop. The town of Lansing is recovering beautifully and appreciating with kindness and warmth, the tourism as it returns after Helene.
This is my second time staying here and just as before - it was awesome. It’s a short 20 min drive to Grayson Highlands Park and allows for a quiet, secluded, relaxing stay away. I plan to return again next year!
This was our third stay. It’s a great cabin just secluded enough. Owners are excellent and checked in on us after a big storm went through the area. Highly recommend.
While we spent all day Saturday, the 15th, at the Festival at Grayson Highlands State Park, we greatly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Nice kitchen for breadfasts and dinners. We enjoyed the porches and eating outdoors. Lots of bird activity. Nice quiet spot.
This cabin is in a beautiful private location nestled in the hills. It had everything we needed (amenities and peace) for a mountain getaway. We'll definitely come back again!
Three girlfriends and I stayed here for a weekend in late March. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed—a well-equipped kitchen, plenty of towels and linens, lots of firewood, and four separate beds. We enjoyed the remarkably quiet and beautiful environs. The hot tub felt amazing. We felt rejuvenated at the end of our stay. I’d love to return for another peaceful get away.
We really enjoyed our stay. Great time to be alone with family to have good chats. No traffic, noise, congestion of the town. Just pasture, some livestock here and there, beautiful mountain land (which is one reason I live here).
We ended our spring break road trip here. It was amazing! Beautiful location and house was better than expected. Host was very nice and accommodating. This house is so spectacular. The apples from the working farm are used at the local cidery. That was a fun side trip after hiking g Grayson highland
Beautiful home, I think prettier in person. Home was stocked with everything we needed. Hot tub was fantastic, home was very private and clean. Would definitely recommend to someone who wants to unplug and relax in the middle of nowhere! Awesome weekend away that was much needed.
Our group keeps comlng back because we love staying here. Everyone always comment how spotless clean the cabin is. I'm sure we will return in the fall.
Awesome house. Very clean. Great views. Lots of wildlife and privacy. Hot tub was great.
(Bring regular coffee filters not cone style, the description is wrong)
We came for the weekend to run the Greyson highlands 1/2 marathon. The property was not just exceptionally clean, but beautiful. The hot run was clean and just what we needed after the race. The beds were so comfortable and the quality of the linens was top notch. I would come back here in a heartbeat.
This is now our go-to for this area; second visit here and counting. The cabin is clean and airy with hillside pastures and country views. And quiet!!! We love this spot!
We had a great stay. Everything was very clean and it was nice to have some games to play with the kids. The view is spectacular and my children loved running around on the deck and in the front yard. We enjoyed a quiet New Year’s Eve in the hot tub after our kids went to bed and loved reading by the fireplace. Very secluded but still easy to find.
We spent 3 days at this cabin with our son and grandson. Enjoyed relaxing on the porch and also enjoyed the hot tub. The cabin is nicely furnished with all the amenities that anyone would want for a stay. Climbed the hill for viewing the sunset but it was cloudy that evening. Also enjoyed a couple of the local restaurant and went hiking at Grayson Highlands State Park
