Grund is a modern luxury house of 220 sqm. only 45 minutes drive from Reykjavik with hot tub, steam bath, sauna, washer & dryer, Internet wi-fi, TV. Perfect property for anyone who wants to see some of the most beautiful sights of Iceland and relax with all the comforts you can imagine. Small soccer field with goals if you want to play, and several golf courses in close range. Located in the heart of 'the Golden Circle', the famous sightseeing route.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
The trash is placed in the containers located next to the entrance to the community, near the gate.
Remember to turn off the gas.
Leave two remotes for the gate on the table in the kitchen and one in the keybox next to the gate. The keys to the house are stored in the key box next to the front door.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

What a wonderful stay for our family. The space was perfect for our group of 8 adults. The property was conveniently located near many attractions but far enough out of town to allow us to see the northern lights almost every night. The kitchen was well appointed. The main living area was spacious and bright. The saunas were a huge bonus and something we used almost everyday. Thorsteinn was a great host. They answered our questions promptly. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Selfoss! Thorsteinn was an exceptional host—very kind, responsive, and always quick to answer any questions we had, which made everything so easy and stress-free.The home exceeded our expectations in every way. The photos truly don’t do it justice—it’s even more beautiful and spacious in person. We were two families of six, and there was more than enough room for everyone to spread out comfortably.One of the highlights of our trip was seeing the northern lights right from the house—such an unforgettable experience! The home was also perfectly set up for our group. We cooked all of our dinners there and found the kitchen to be fully stocked with everything we needed. Having both a drip coffee maker and a Nespresso machine was a great bonus and something we really appreciated.The beds were very comfortable, and the entire home felt cozy and welcoming. The location made it an ideal home base for exploring Iceland’s southern coast.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area!

This house was the perfect spot for an Iceland trip. It is well-positioned in the Golden Circle but only about 15 minutes away from Selfoss and Hveragerði. There are beautiful views from the house. The sauna and hot tub (pool) were a bonus.

I stayed here with my wife and adult children for part of our Iceland vacation. House was in great location for visits to the Golden Circle and we all enjoyed our stay. Very nice place to stay and relax after a day trip. Plenty of room good showers and a hot tub sauna and steam bath. Very clean when we arrived. Good cooking facilities. We had a small issue with the hot water system that was solved quickly after consulting the owner.

We built this house 2008. Grund is located in the heart of the popular Golden Circle. Close to Reykjavik, the capital and very short to get service at Selfoss and Hveragerdi. A lot of things to see and do in the neighborhood but also an excellent place to do just nothing but relax and enjoy the nature.
