Nestled between Warrain Beach and Wollumboola Lake, just a one-minute stroll from either, Arklow will be the port of call for your family throughout your stay. Whether you’re looking for fun, adventure or relaxation, Arklow will provide everything you could need.

With room for up to six and a spacious backyard filled with gorgeous trees and greenery, this bright beach house welcomes families and their pets to spread out. Relax on the deck outside with a glass of wine and enjoy your own view of the ocean or kick back on the couch with Netflix, listen to some tunes, or reconnect the family over a well-contested board game.

When it’s time to stretch your legs, explore the most beautiful locale in Australia and sink your toes into the golden sands of one of the South Coast’s finest beaches where you can swim, surf, boogie board or just float under blue skies in crystal clear waters with the kids and four-legged friends tiring themselves out in the waves. Come home to rinse off in the outdoor heated shower or the indoor rain shower, and at night enjoy dinner cooked in the outdoor woodfire oven and take in the stars. Settle in for the night in comfort before waking up to a complimentary espresso coffee at the breakfast bar to do it all over again at Arklow.

House was well-equipped, with bbq area and a large yard for the kids to play in. However, overall cleanliness could have been better. The bathroom had an unpleasant odour, particularly near the toilet pan, and did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned. Floor (vinyl) throughout the house also had not been thoroughly cleaned. House had a mouldy / musky smell that was quite powerful.

Very disappointed in property!I should have made sure the reviews were more recent, to see if reviews reflect the style of house. Grounds unkept, very over grown and messy. I know bathroom was stated as downstairs, however very awkward to go up and down the stairs. I suppose at nearly 300 a night this is what you can expect! We have been coming down in these areas for years and I must say this choice has been very regrettable and the worst we have stayed in.

House is in a great location. Fabulous example of a beach house with an upgraded kitchen. Very happy with the pantry items which were provided.My wife would have liked a hair dryer. Another power point in the bedroom to avoid several powerboardds would be good

Great location

With the lake open this was a perfect place to stay as there were great swimming opportunities just across the road. The accomodation and facilities were great. Steep stairs maybe difficult for some. Culburra Beach and surrounds we’re lovely.

We enjoyed our stay, it was short but sweet. The location was perfect, just a walk away from the beach and close proximity to local shops and cafes. The house was in a quiet and safe area, and we enjoyed sitting on the front balcony the with view of Lake Culburra. Our only complaint would be having the bathroom and the only toilet downstairs. And we found the backyard and outside area not very user friendly. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and well equipped for a family.

We had communication error on how to enter so I had to ring agents. The impression was it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. I had a booking for 3 people but only received 2 towels. So another call the next day to get a towel. I emailed the owner and got no response. There was no hair dryer so I had to purchase one.The dishwasher didn’t work and the bbq gas bottle was empty. Will I stay again well that’s a big NO

Really disappointing

I addressed the following concerns to the managing agent but there was no response. We arrived to the property to find the grass really overgrown, which we felt was unwelcoming and not at all expected since the nearby homes are all well kept. We are well past the Christmas and New Year season so I don’t think that can be explained. On coming upstairs there was a bag full of rubbish on one of the kitchen chairs and it was quite smelly. There were no spare batteries and the batteries in the air con remote, the main TV remote and the clock were flat. We had to go out to purchase new batteries for all remotes. My partner had to work from home on the Mon-Tues-Wed and had brought his things… eg two good quality computers, which we put on the dining table and could be easily seen from the road, yet we were unable to lock the doors to either verandah in order to go out. This is not ok. We read your reasons for removing the keys but surely a latch or something otherwise would be the minimal expectation? We had other valuables with us and felt very uneasy knowing the house could not be locked. I note that the price of this holiday home per night exceeds what a comfortable hotel would be so we did have some expectations around cleanliness and presentation. I had to do some basic cleaning before we settled in. Could be a lovely holiday property but needs work. Thorough cleaning (cobwebs and thick dust ever-where). Outside furniture is rusted out and again unwelcoming.

We are fussy guests, but this definitely passed. Comfy beds, kitchen well equipped, nice furnishing, very comfortable place to be overall. Close to beach, good views, would happily stay here again.

Lovely location but completely let down by cleaners

The property was perfectly situated to access the beach and was well equipped for our stay. It was however let down by the cleanliness & is in dire need of a deep clean. From rotting food, empty food packets & left behind toys under the sofas, to dirty tissues under the bed, dirt on the bathroom floor and cobwebs under the bathroom cabinet. This level of cleanliness is not expected when paying a high cost for a holiday stay & detracted from our stay.

In busy periods it may take us a few hours to get to messages so picking up the phone is the fastest and best way for us to provide you with the support you need in an urgent situation.
