The apartment is comfortable, affordable & well-equipped with a full kitchen with laundry, TV with Chromecast, ultrafast WIFI & all you'll need to enjoy your time here or recuperate after an exciting day out & about Nelson or the wider region.
Nelson's famous waterfront dining "strip" is just 100 meters away. Despite this, the property is protected from the noise from the busy corniche.
As photographed, the apartment is one level up with approximately 14 regular sized steps to ascend to access the apartment.
Guests enjoy access to the parking area, walkway to the apartment, the full apartment, the adjoining gardens and gazebo area. There are storage areas for bicycles - please ask.
You may also like to consider the adjacent 'Kimberley Two' with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms or the penthouse level 'Kimberley Three' with 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms. Each apartment has separate access & parking for each.

We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable one bedroom apartment. It was in a super location within walking distance from good waterfront restaurants.
The apartment has a magnificent view over the harbour and surrounding water. The location is very central and their is a wonderful restaurant (the Boat Shed) within 200 metres. Everything in the apartment works, all of the appliances are relatively new and the bed is comfortable. We anjoyed eating out on the balcony most nights. (we stayed for a week). On the negative side, the apartment is dated, lots of wood panelling and a purple bathtub.
My daughter and I loved our stay at Kimberly 1. We were greeted by Jarrod when we arrived. The kitchen had everything! We loved the views and sitting in the gazebo. Great place!
We loved our stay here…..very sheltered, all day sun, and close to everything Nelson has to offer.
Fabulous views from the balcony overlooking the entrance to the harbour, watching all the comings and goings, even a cruise ship !
Spacious interior with everything you need.
A great place to stay. Very clean and tidy with magnificent views of the bay and port with yachts, cargo ships and cruise ships coming and going all the time. Great to watch. Verygood hosts also.
Our stay was wonderful. The accommodations were perfect. Everything we needed was there and it was so comfortable and homey we found ourselves planning another visit. Highly recommend. On top of all I just mentioned the large balcony and views we outstanding.
The host answered all questions without delay.
Great little place with a view of the ocean and comfortably outside of downtown while still super close. Gotta have a meal at the Boat Shed. One negative was that the internet was not working while I was there
My husband and I loved this accommodation so much that while in Nelson for a second time we were relieved to see it was available to book. Great location, great views, clean, good use of space, warm and even quiet which surprised us no end considering how close it was to Rocks road. Thank you Kimberly One!
Kimberly 1 is a comfortable appartment with all requirements for a small to long stay. The large lounge dining with fabulous views on the deck provided a relaxing, yet private living space. Very peaceful and quiet. Laundry and kitchen facilities were appreciated, particularly the full size fridge/freezer and stove, dishwasher and separate washing machine and drier. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom felt spacious. Having the small walk-in robe made accessing luggage easy. Everything has been well maintained with holiday makers in mind. Thank you.
While I wish, someone had told me that the primary route six between the ferry, landing/picton and townha Nelson was closed, this unit is wanting to stay at! A wonderful outside gazebo, and a view to beat all. Secluded, yet only 100 meters away from a main thoroughfare. The hosts have gone out of their way to help identify activities and things to do, with the Abel Tasman day hike only about a 35 minute drive away. Highly recommend this one!
Really nice place. Clean, comfortable and has a nice view of the sea where the boats go in and out. Well equiped kitchen too that not all places have. Great deck too
We loved this apartment. We stayed for 3 weeks. Great appliances. Full size washer and dryer. Great kitchen and large bathroom with a big tub. And most especially the view. Since we were there for an extended time we spent many days just enjoying the balcony and the view. BRING BINOCULARS. Great off street parking which is very important in this area of steep, winding roads.
Tucked back from the busy main road but close to city and beach with sheltered deck and great views- this was a perfect getaway spot. Well equipped for self catering complete with BBQ, and walking distance from great dining out. Facilities generally clean - a big black mark however being finding a full bin of rubbish in kitchen and a bag of food scraps left in the walk in wardrobe?! Fortunately there were no other glitches and we had a great holiday. Staff were very helpful and we would happily come here again.
