Lake Trip
The entire family enjoyed our stay at the lake house. Everything was just as described online. The view from the house and the dock is beautiful. If you're looking for a nice getaway this is the place to go.
My daughters ,my grandson and I stayed over a weekend and really enjoyed this home . It was a beautiful location with the lake in the back yard . We will definitely go back again soon.
We really enjoyed staying here for our Mother’ Day trip. The house was so cute and had everything we needed. It was really nice to be able to take the kayaks out on the lake. Would definitely stay here again!
The property was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed everything about it including the remote location and was close enough to Gun Barrel a small but interesting town.
My family came for several days for a wedding nearby. We absolutely loved the home! Everything was clean and as pictured. The house was well stocked with extra paper towels and toilet paper. That was so nice! There was no baby things so be sure to bring a play yard and those amenities if you have a baby. 💕
The lake and Dock were well kept and beautiful. We definitely hope to visit again!
Each year a group of us gals (sisters and sistrr in laws) pick a location for a girls trip
This year was First Monday Trde Days in Canton. We wanted a house on the water, great views and room for us to hang out, that wasnt too far from Canton. This place filled all those, although a little bit longer drive that we thought. Even so, it was a great trip. The house is very clean, big windows to see the water, a nice dock to sit on and watch the sunset, and a nice fire pit for relaxing at after shopping all day. Everyone really enjoyed the house.
We loved our stay in this cozy cabin. We stayed here for our girls’ trip to Canton First Monday Trade Days. We enjoyed the dock and the beautiful views from the living room with huge windows. The location is a little far from town (about 20-25 min to restaurants and stores) and some of the roads were a little run-down, but we enjoyed the seclusion and the quiet. The bunk room with arcade games was very neat and would have been perfect for teenagers. House was fully stocked with anything we could have needed indoors and outdoors. Upper deck had some softer boards we were careful of, but we had no problems during our stay. Communication with hosts was great - they were available if we needed them but not in our way. We were so happy with our choice to stay here and recommend it!
The house is as pictured a great view I fully stocked. I would like to note that if you are senior You may have a problem with all the small step up and down. One into the living room and out on the deck. Just a heads up to older folks. I was not happy to find out I had to start the laundry before I leave. Cleaning is included in the price. The place is lovely and has a great view

Hi Barbara, the homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following:
-We take the accuracy of our listings seriously and make sure that the photos and description correctly represent the property. Our listing states "There is one small step- down to enter the home" and the details are outlined in the listing description, but we're sorry if this caught you off guard
-The approved check-out time for the property is included in the pre-stay information sent by Evolve to all guests. This time is set by the cleaner's schedule for them to complete the cleaning before the next guest's arrival since this is consistent with our cleaning expectations
-The check-out requirements in the Welcome book are standard within the vacation rental industry, but we're sorry if you were surprised by these
We appreciate your recognition that you enjoyed the location and hospitality, and we're confident that future guests will continue to enjoy five-star stays here!
This is a newly renovated property that seems to still be in the works with freshly laid sod in the back yard, wood floors in home waiting to be refinished, and deck handrails not to code - but for our purpose of a quiet and remote getaway this checked all the boxes. Just enough room, small spaces well used, quaint but not on top of each other. The shower in the master bedroom bath is amazing! Small touches throughout the home make it homey but not like you're in "somebody else's home". We look forward to visiting again when the pier has been rebuilt and other finishing touches have been completed.
We had a girls trip and loved this cute house! Best sunsets! Nice location on the water, would love to come back when it's warmer for water activities. The deck was perfect for morning coffee with the birds chirping and gorgeous mallard ducks swimming around. Inside, the huge kitchen was stocked with many things that made our meals easy to prepare. The living room has awesome views of the lake. The owners had all sorts of games and we enjoyed playing once it was dark. There are 2 great bathrooms. The huge shower in the master bedroom was a dream! Most everyone in our group used it instead of the other tub/shower combo, that bathroom was just as awesome but that shower was hard to beat! The keurig in the dining area/coffee bar was a neat touch. Everyone loved the bunkbed room, I called it the "slumber party room" ! The stairs to the top bunks was not a treacherous feat like many others, nice sturdy and wide. Anyone can feel comfortable going to the top bunks! We will definitely be back! Oh, almost forgot, Richie and Sarah, the owners, were so nice, made us feel right at home!
We’re so grateful for having the opportunity to spend the Thanksgiving Holiday in this Lovely place. We had such a wonderful time, it was Peaceful, Beautiful. and had so many special touches. We enjoyed looking out @ the water and watching the big nice TVs. The hosts from the start communicated well, Thanks again and we do plan to come back again soon.
Great location. Easy drive less than one hour from Tyler.
Clean, comfortable and easily accessible. All of the pleasures and comforts of home. Nice property. Home is spacious and and well stocked with paper goods, dishes, pots, pans and luxurious bath linens. Enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful house, stunning lake view, quiet neighborhood, easy check in, tons of room...
Look no further, this is it! Book it and thank me later.
The owners were helpful and the house provided darn near everything you would need for a family, couple or friends getaway! They really thought of everything, so just bring your clothes, toiletries and food. There are extra board games, kyaks, towels, dishes, utinsels, toilet paper, papertowles, fire pit, grill, smart tvs, arcade game, extra linen, blankets, first aid kit, shampoo, soap, coffee, spices, the list goes on and on.
I highly recommend this rental,
We enjoyed our weekend staying at the lake house. It was a bit of a drive from Canton Trade Days, however it was worth it to be able to stay on the lake. Very clean & plenty of places for everyone to sleep.
We booked this lake house over spring break for a long weekend and we had some amazing weather for March. My sister and I enjoyed drinking coffee and watching the sun come up over the lake each morning. Our 3 kids total (two 3 yr olds and a 6 yr old) LOVED that there was a small waterfront/beach area and they spent a large amount of time playing in the sand and dipping in and out of the cool water. We flew kites and gathered for s'mores and bubbles. Amazing family time and we'd like to come back again!
This was the perfect spot for a quiet getaway for a few days. The owner was extremely responsive during our stay and the property was pristine. Highly recommend for a family stay.
Just the right distance outside of DFW for a quick weekend getaway. Neighborhood was a bit run-down but the property itself was very clean, very quiet and nicely updated. Decor was really nice and fit that relaxed, lake vibe we were looking for. Beds were a little firm for our liking, but the bunk area with arcade machine was really fun. View of the lake from the dining and living areas was beautiful. Outside area with firepit was great for making s'mores while listening to the lulling waves of the lake and watching a beautiful sunset. Had a nice time just relaxing with family, watching movies and reconnecting.
