Can’t go wrong staying in Mahia - we’ve been to this beach plenty of times and we always have a wonderful time. We love going for family walks up Mokotahi, over to Opoutama beach and over to Mahanga Beach on the other side of the main beach if Mahia Bay is a bit windy. The Bach was in a good enough location and has been beautifully presented by Pip - it was clean and tidy and cosy and didn’t feel too “precious” as we have three kids who can be boisterous at times! Pip was always on call if needed. We will be back! Thank you.
We stayed here for five nights with two kids, the bach is clean and has everything you need, great location, and the fully fenced section and big back lawn is perfect for young kids. Loved it!
Whakata Bach was even nicer in person than it looked online. Nice modern luxuries, fab bbq and great backyard for kids to play in. Great proximity to the beach, store and driving to other part of the peninsula. Pip was a great host with clear and timely communication. Would definitely rent again!

It was good. Except the oven broke on the first night. Hob cracked when boiling water. And the toilet seat was so loose it fell off. The owner has text trying to get compensation but its not our fault. The hobs cracked when trying to boil water and not sure why the toilet was broken

This was a disappointing experience, mostly because guests never bothered to contact us about any breakages so we could do something about it. Just left the house in a mess with broken hod and toilet seat.
We had the hob inspected and clearly something had been dropped on it.
Excellent accommodation that provided what we needed as a whānau to attend the funeral of a father, grandfather and great grandfather. The Marae can be a stressful place to accommodate the needs of a baby and having a place to settle and and at times reset our whānau helped us move through this very sad time. Excellent facilities that provided the needs of four generations. Nga mihi

Had a wonderful time in Mahia. Accom modation very clean spacious and tidy. The expectation of a complete clean before vacating was too much, considering the price we paid and had already provided our own linen. Have not experienced this before.

Glad you had a wonderful time and thanks for your feed back.
We do ask when vacating to leave the house as you find it, clean and tidy. Which is why we don't charge a cleaning fee. Sorry this did not suit.
To have a cleaner on call in Mahia isn't possible.
Wetter wechselhaft Kühlschrank gefüllt mit Sachen von den Vorgängern einfach unappetitlich Keine Bettbezüge und Handtücher Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen und müsste mal renoviert werden
Plenty of space inside the house. All the amenities you expect and need. Short walk to a quiet end of the beach, easy drive to shop, food trucks and pub.
Wonderful stay in Mahia, great holiday house with all facilities you could need. Lovely peaceful location, yet handy to all on offer in Mahia. Would love to return.
This bach was perfect for our family and our long weekend away in Mahia! Very comfortable, clean & tidy. Good size home with lots of room to spread out - we were 3 adults and 2 teenagers.
Fabulous big back yard to run and play in...and at night, lying on the lawn and spotting the satellites and stars in the sky (beautiful clear night skys).
Easy stroll to the gorgeous beach. Quiet and relaxing.
