The cottage was great for the 2 of us , very quiet and peaceful. We loved seating on the porch with a glass of wine in the evening looking out in the ocean , also it was convenient to places like Peggy’s cove , Lunenburg .

Super cute, compact bunkie with an amazing outlook to the water. Well appointed with everything we needed for our three day retreat and worked as an excellent base for exploring the south shore! Sunrises were magical and the little deck with the propane fire pit was a great place to unwind in the early evening with a cold beverage. Great memories made! We’ll be back!

What a great place. The hosts have thought of everything and it is all quality. The place is small but because of how it’s designed it worked perfectly for the two of us. We especially loved the neighborhood and the swimming beach and bakery near-by. We didn’t want to leave

We came in at night and had some difficulty finding the property but the host was able to bring us in to where we were supposed to be. We had a lovely time but we wish it was longer than it was. The property was bright and welcoming when you just open the door. We loved the homey and warm holiday atmosphere the Host brings to the property. We hope to go back for a couple of weeks next year we loved it so much.Kudos to the Hosts for making a wonderful place by the ocean.

Very tiny, but has everything you need. We loved our stay and the host was so helpful. So much to do in the area. Close to Lunenburg, Halifax and Peggy’s Cove for a few. Nice view, quiet area. Loved watching the locals fishing off the pier and the seal rubbing its self on the rocks out front in the water. The sunrise in the morning was amazing out over the bay.

Excellent ocean view stay!

We had a great time at Suzanne’s property- we loved having the front deck overlook the ocean. The property was small but exactly what we needed! The cottage was clean and located on a quiet street. It was close to Hubbards that had lots of amenities and best of all, the Hubbards Farmer’s market!

Cozy Bungalow

A clean and welcoming little, cottage, with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. Lots of little details that make it special. “Seanery Bunkie” is close to some good restaurants and accessible to surrounding attractions. Suzanne was a super hostess!

This is a great location in relation to Peggy’s Cove and the Chester, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg tourist spots. For the two of us, we found the Bunkie too small for five nights. We missed comfy lounging chairs. We found it smelled damp, which may have been the June timing of our visit. There were dehumidifier, air conditioner, fan heater and air purifier units available. The view is beautiful and the waterside road is perfect for walks and chatting with the friendly locals. The signage to the Bunkie was excellent, as was all communication with the host. We didn’t like that we were parking on grass and got wet feet/shoes daily when walking to/from the car; again this may have been the timing of our visit.

Thanks so much for your feedback, Christine, and for your kind comments! The Bunkie is intentionally designed as a cozy retreat for two, so we do our best to represent it accurately in our listing. Coastal Nova Scotia can definitely be damp in the spring (and unfortunately the weather was particularly wet during your stay), which is why we have the dehumidifier and air purifier to help keep the space comfortable when needed. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best in your future travels!

The location is perfect! To the west is Lunenburg and many beaches. To the east is Peggy’s Cove. The drives both ways are stunning. The bunkie is incredibly cozy. There is everything you need packed into the space. Very well decorated with serene colours of grays and blues. The view is brilliant from 3 very large windows. It makes you feel like you are outside but are warm and cozy inside!

Seanerie Bunkie

The bunkie was a cozy, private getaway for my wife & I. We appreciate the efforts made by the hosts Suzanne, Tim and family to allow us to check in early. It was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We loved the privacy provided us as we sat on the deck looking at the view of the water and enjoying the fire pit. We will not hesitate to recommend that others stay in the bunkie.

Lovely place, well equipped and very cozy … expect everything you need. Also expect a dirt road between the cabin and water with some vehicle and pedestrian traffic . Also a tiny bathroom which might be a challenge for older people. We are mid to late 70s and still made it work. Buy really we loved the place! The owner was VERY communicative and it was so clean.. we loved seeing the view of the bay off back porch and watching the comorants (spelling?) every day. Coffee maker was confusing so we bought instant. Would have appreciated a drip maker ..location is close to many exciting places we had never seen before. The picture is out the back window, looking at bay across the road i mentioned . We will be back.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Bunkie. The cottage had everything we needed (full bathroom, kitchen, air conditioning) and was the perfect home base for our first trip to the East coast. The cottage was comfortable and thoughtfully set up, with many perfect details down to eye masks and ear plugs on the bedside tables.Suzanne was a fabulous host. She offered to lend us a pack and play for our little one (this was much appreciated as we already had a lot of luggage!) and it was already set up when we arrived. She was very responsive before and during our trip when we had any questions, and made us feel well looked after. The Bunkie’s view is incredible, and we loved watching the sunrise over the bay in the mornings. We have absolutely no complaints about our stay the the Bunkie. I have seen some reviewers complain about it being small - we felt it was the perfect size for the 2 of us plan our almost 4 month old. We are already talking about going back to the east coast, and would absolutely love to stay at the Bunkie again!

The listing was accurate and Suzanne and Tim were excellent host. The restrictions on recycling, which has nothing to do with the host, was a bit challenging to comply with.

THE perfect tiny cottage for a stay in Mill Cove. About 10 mins from the main strip but only steps to the ocean, right outside your window! We loved being able to wake up with the ocean and enjoyed the tranquil quiet that Mill Cove had to offer (even a few games and books to use during our downtime). The bunkie had everything we needed to feel at home. Close enough to Halifax, Peggy’s cove and lunenberg to take day trips and surrounded by the best restaurants!!

Our hosts added many thoughtful touches to the Bunkie, from all the necessary items like linens, kitchen utensils, and soap to extras like a bottle of wine, chocolates, and tea, not to mention bug spray. We didn't use the grill or fire pit, but those were nice touches as well. We loved the quiet setting and beautiful view of St. Margaret's Bay and found it a convenient base for exploring Halifax, Chester, and Lunenburg. The Bunkie is cozy (read: small!) but it was perfect for our week-long stay.
