The cabin was really clean and felt brand new. Our only criticism is the hot tub was cold the day we showed up and took until the next morning to heat up. Great place to stay.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Rockin Ridge Retreat. The hot tubs are emptied and refilled so unfortunately, it does take a little time to heat back up. We appreciate your feedback and hope you will plan another visit with us again soon!
Top rated for views which overlook some farm land with a moutain back drop. My grandkids enjoyed the indoor pool and adults the hot tub. Well stocked with kitchen utensils and plenty dishes. The only thing that It needs are towell bars in the bathrooms but I would highly reccomend this cabin. A bear did stroll up the front porch to the back deck i saw us back there and casually turned and left.

It was a pleasure having you and your family stay with us and we are so glad you enjoyed everything Rockin Ridge Retreat has to offer and were visited by one of our local bears. We hope you will plan another visit with us again soon!
What a wonderful stay we had! The entire family loved the pool, hot tubs and theater room. Natural gas is used for the fire pit and the grill. No worries of empty tanks. So much room for the entire family. The video games were a big hit! The views were absolutely amazing! You did not hear any noise pollution at all. Ample space between yourself and the next house. I can’t say enough good things about this property. We definitely hope to be return visitors.

This house is absolutely beautiful, the inside, and the ouside. We got some pretty great pictures just from the back deck! The biggest complaint I have is we specifically rented this house because it said that there are 2 THREE teir bunk beds in the bunk bed room, but there are just 2 regular bunk beds. We had 8 kids with us all very excited for this feature and they were very let down. I called and asked about it and I was told very politely pretty much oh well because there is enough to sleep everyone in the house and written in the rules states that amenities can change. This was a huge let down. We had to have kids sleep in King beds with their parents. Who wants to do that on vacation?

We are glad you enjoyed the cabin and apologize for the change of bedding and will make sure this is updated on our website. Unfortunately, owners will make changes without informing us. We do hope you will visit us again in the near future!
Rockin Ridge was a good fit for our large family (3 generations, 14 people). The kids really enjoyed the movie room and bunk room in the basement. We liked the location. The house didn’t have any basics beyond what is listed in the description so read carefully (no leftover salt/pepper, coffee filters- things generally left by previous renters). Also did not have a broom, which would have been helpful with young kids who dropped a lot of crumbs!
We called management during our stay because the freezer was not working and the Golden Tee game was broken, and never got a response, even after we left, so that was disappointing.
Had a great time with family. Had a group of 9 of us and the cabin worked well. Got the joy of seeing bears not once but twice in the neighborhood. Indoor pool was great as it has a section for adults in sit in while the kids swim. Things that could be better are: No towel racks for wet swimsuits or towels in the bathrooms. Bring a towel rack. Not totally private as there is a cabin 40 yards or so from you (but still much more private than most cabins in the area where they are on top of each other). Games were not usable: No sand for shuffleboard, one arcade game would not turn on and the other had no instructions on how to use. That being said, the view was gorgeous and we loved the cabin. Definitely recommend.

Great House-Everything else not
Arrived Monday to Thursday. No water in hot tub. Water filled on Tuesday. Could not use until Wednesday. Unacceptable. Little shower water. Would go from little to none and luke warm at best. Spa attached to pool-same temperature as pool. Pool not heated . Could not use either entire stay. Xfinity went out on last day. Could not recover. A lot of money/night for such poor quality.

Terrible
Well let's start with the e mail I recieved at 645A.M. the day of arrival saying we were ineligible for express check in bc they needed pictures of ID and Card to verify but had no issue going ahead and taking the money out of my account. I'm a business owner and had jobs lined up for most of the day so I called and sent them a picture of ID and Card. Guest relations e mailed the contract so I could do express check in but would have to go to office next day to verify which was fine. Everything got submitted and i thought I was going to be eligible for express check in then I get an e mail at 1:45P.M. saying I was ineligible again. Luckily I had already canceled a few of the jobs I had lined up so I could get here in time bc I knew there were going to be issues with the way the e mails were going. Guest relations didn't know I sent the ID or the signed contract until I called and the office obviously didn't know about anything what guest relations and I talked about. There's serious problems with communication between the 2 or 3 departments.
Well we get to the office at 540P.M. to show ID and card which everything went fine. Then we get to the cabin at 6P.M. and there's maintenance working on fixing a door to the pool that fell off (check in is between 4P.M. and 6P.M. at the office and check out is 10A.M.). The door to the pool has an alarm that constantly goes off if it's not closed. I had something planned for my fiancee when we got to the cabin but that got thrown off due to maintenence being here.
So it's 7:40P.M. and they're still here with the alarm constantly going off. I went and asked how much longer and maintenence said they had to mop the floors from downstairs to upstairs then they'd be finished. Finally we had enough of the annoying alarm so we decided to leave the cabin just to get away until they could get finished which would also give the floors time to dry after being mopped. The hot tub was getting filled up about 630P.M. by maintenance which should have been done a lot earlier due to the water needing to be heated so that was useless for the night. Then the room to the pool was cold due to maintenence having the door open while working and the water in the pool was freezing. We didn't get to enjoy any of the amenities that was paid for the first night and that was the main thing we were looking forward to.
I went to sit on the toilet and it almost fell over on me due to the bolts being broke that hold the toilet.

We apologize for the bad experience you had with your stay. We do require safety precautions to deter fraud and apologize for any confusion with checking in. We appreciate your feedback and will address the reported issues to better help future guests. We hope you will visit the Smokies again.
The house was very clean and had a beautiful view of the mountains. Online description is accurate. GPS is a little iffy, so double-check and drop a pin to make navigation easier. One recommendation is to install towel bars and hooks in bathrooms and near the pool for easy drying.
