It was a really nice and authentic cabin. My siblings and I enjoyed our stay! The place was very clean and found it to be cozy. The shower was just a bit confusing to use.

Best vacation ever

We have a long family line and history on Madeline Island. I have always wanted to visit, and was finally able to. Staying at the cabin was perfect. The cabin was cute, and clean, and the location was amazing. We will definitely stay there again.

In Town - Lake Superior Charm

Weisel cabin is Lake Life charming and the screened porch is perfection. Being in town and walkable to coffee, dinner shops and night time fun... is worth its weight in Madeline gold!

Our family of five adults and one dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Wiesel cabin! Nostalgic for sure and very cozy! The property is very well stocked with everything needed and then some. We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere.

Charming Comfy Cabin

We had a great 3 nights at the Weisel Cabin. Everyone loved the historic charm and the inviting front porch. Our adult son enjoyed playing DJ with the extensive record collection. The location was great! Just a short walk to town and a quick drive to Big Bay. We'll be back!

Great location. Nice front sitting porch. Cable tv and internet good. Nice claw foot tub. Poorly stocked kitchen - there were only 4 forks total, can opener broken, tea kettle dirty and rusty. You can see light through all the walls i.e bathroom to bedroom, etc. Dark, needs better lighting. Ok place to stay but needs some tlc.

I loved the location and the communication with the manager was excellent the cottage was very spacious but very very old the biggest problem was the lack of AC as it was extremely hot weather and even with all the fans it was a hot house . I think it would be excellent during cooler weather .the kitchen did not seem inviting to cook in because the lower cabinets really need to be replaced and better pots and pans made available the biggest

Rustic cluttered cabin

Very rustic dark cabin. Clean enough. Wi-Fi didn’t work, called and never got a response from the owner/host that lived next door. We lovingly called the decor garage sale chic. Way too much furniture in the living room and porch. Rey much enjoyed staying on the island and would again, maybe at a different place. This could be very nice if the organ and sewing machine and other non essentials were removed and nicer furniture put in.

We (my dog and I) thoroughly enjoyed our days at Weidel Cottage. Took walks in the evening to take pictures of the sunset, found the Madeline Museum quite interesting, and enjoyed our morning coffee taking in the view of Lake Superior,

My sister and I stayed here for our yearly vacation and it was perfect. Walking distance to everything in LaPointe. Large open spaces, really comfortable beds. Very quiet. The record player with two tubs full of old school albums was fantastic. Hoping to bring my family back.

Great for family stay

This cabin was ideal for us and our three young adult children. There were nice options for shared spaces including indoors, the screened porch and the backyard. The kitchen worked well for meal prep. We also enjoyed the record player!

Spacious and convenient location

We really enjoyed our stay at the Weisel Cabin. The cabin is very spacious, with lots of seating options. The screened in front porch was a bonus, especially with the unseasonably warm weather during our stay. We also loved the convenient location to downtown LaPointe. We will definitely keep this cabin on our list of potential rentals for future visits to the Island.
