Great location and great property. Very close to paddocks so kids had a great time. Host provided great information about the route which was helpful driving in the rainy weather.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was welcoming in a farm way. It felt very tired, the kitchen was not what I aspected. The oven didn’t work! Some appliances were too dirty to use. Sandwich press I had to clean to heat or meal as the oven didn’t work. Putting a few things aside we had a lovely stay , our chihuahua loved barking at the sheep. Sadly I wouldn’t recommend this stay to any of our friends

Hi Robyn,
It’s a shame you didn’t mention that you had any problems during your stay so they could be rectified. Especially when you messaged us the first night to say how much you were enjoying your stay. The kitchen is a stainless steel commercial kitchen, as shown in the photographs on the website. The farmstay accommodation is in a converted dairy, this is clearly stated in the description. We’ve never had any complaints about cleanliness, but will ensure we double check all appliances. We prefer our guests to control their pets & not let them bark at our animals.
Very nice place. It was great to see all the animals there. Host replies to messages very quickly. Has everything you need and plenty of games to play.
Fantastic property full of interest both as a working farm and a re-purposing of a former dairy. Wonderful hosts, very warm and accomodating who welcomed us to join the feeding of the animals which was a highlight. Lovely part of the world for a taste of country living with many attractions nearby.

The Camelot Farmstay was exactly what we were after for a time to reconnect with family. Plenty of space and comfort, well kitted out with all you could need and lots of activities to keep kids entertained and lovely animals to watch go about their day. Thank you to our hosts!

Nice quiet property with great farm animals. Annette was lovely and very happy to show us the animals. We did miss feeding the horses so recommend letting them know in advance if you want to feed them.
Overall a very enjoyable stay.
We loved our stay at Camelot. The photos don’t do it justice. The cottage is very spacious, has a fully fenced back yard for dogs ( or toddlers) and the hosts are very helpful and have thought of everything ( eg milk, dishwash, paper towels, cling wrap etc). Very peaceful evenings out in the covered BarBQ area watching the animals graze.

We’re so pleased you enjoyed your stay & hope you come back to stay with us again. Thank you for leaving the Farmstay nice & tidy 😊
Farmstay was great for our family plus doggie. Plenty of space inside and covered area outside. Looks out on sheep and horses. Rained madly but plenty to do for the kids with board games and wii🙂peaceful other than traffic hurtling down dungog road and ghosts in the pipes.

Too short but just the break we needed. Annette & Kylie were amazing hosts. They were more than happy to take our kids around to meet & feed the animals. Our kids now want a horse! Peaceful & beautiful scenery. Accomodation super & lots of activities for us all. We can’t wait to come back

Thank you for your lovely review, it was a pleasure hosting your family & we look forward to you visiting us again.
The house is huge, the kitchen is fully stocked. There is a huge TV and 2 large leather lounges. The house is right next to the sheep paddock and there were twin 3 day old lambs that were absolutely gorgeous. We were disappointed to only have one interaction with the farm animals (we hoped for morning and night daily as per the guest information) but we do understand it was a busy long weekend and we have to fit in with the owners. Kylee was lovely when she met us and we helped to feed horses, chickens and sheep. We got to meet Cruz the dog who was gorgeous. We would recommend Camelot if you are in the area.

Thank you for you lovely review, we’re pleased you enjoyed your stay. We would welcome you back. As we both work full time, farm tours are dependent upon our work schedules. We do try to give all guests the opportunity to meet and interact with our animals at least once during their stay.
We stayed for two nights and shared the place with one of our friends. The kids had a great time and got to see farm animals such as sheep, horses, birds, and chickens. We had plenty of board games, table tennis, and a vast DVD collection to keep us entertained. With no internet on the property and poor network coverage, we had ample time to bond with each other. Walking on the farm at night under the full moon was truly an amazing experience.
Our whole group thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
There was 4 adults and 4 kids and we had more than enough space to move around without feeling cramped.

Wonderfully comfortable house! Fitted two families perfectly! Fantastic mountain bike tracks near by at the Dungog commons, our hosts were very accomodating and the children loved feeding the animals with them! The outdoor fire pit abs BBQ area were great! Highly recommend this stay!

The teens enjoyed a range of activities in the house, piano, table tennis table, games.
Best to phone rather than text as we had a prompt response to phone call but no response to texts so we missed out on being able to feed the animals which my youngest child was keen to try.

About the host
Hosted by Annette
I breed show & judge horses, and have lived in the area for 30 years. I work as a paramedic in the nearby town of Dungog. I’m happy to share our piece of paradise with you, and hope you enjoy your stay. We live on the property, but will respect your privacy whilst you’re here. We’re happy to introduce you to some of the animals when we feed up of an afternoon. Just let us know if you’d like to join us.
Why they chose this property
This property is 158 acres of lush grazing land. It was originally a much larger dairy, then in later years a commercial lavender farm. It’s ideal for a horse stud, and to run cattle & sheep.
What makes this property unique
Within one hour you can be in Barrington Tops rainforest, at the beautiful beaches of Newcastle or Port Stephens, in the fantastic Hunter Valley vineyards or at the popular Lake Macquarie. There’s many activities to enjoy or you can just relax & read a book or watch a movie. Either way I’m sure you’ll enjoy your stay in this fantastic part of the world.
