Located just over 200m from historic Trentham's main streets. The house was built around the turn of last century and originally used as a 'lying-in' maternity hospital before the local hospital was built in the 1930s. This beautiful piece of Trentham's history has been restored and updated with lots of modern features including a coffee machine and grinder for the home barista, unlimited NBN and 2 wood burning fires for cosy winter nights.
On arrival you enter into the first of two large living rooms with wood fire, split system with heating and cooling and sofas for curling up on to watch tv. The living room also has a desk to allow you to work from home during the week.
When it comes time for sleeping there are three bedrooms, 2 with comfortable queen size beds, while the third bedroom has 2 single beds and a second desk to allow for a second person to work from home. The bedrooms are all close to the luxurious central bathroom with rain shower over the bath. There is a seperate powder room and an internal laundry.
The kitchen comes well equipped with everything for cooking up some local produce, make sure you add some fresh herbs from the garden.
The large light filled room at the back of the house has a second wood fire to keep you toasty warm, a custom built dining table, reading nook and sofa for watching the day go by. A second split system in this living room provides extra heating and cooling.
French doors from the back living room open onto a north facing deck, great for your morning coffee or pre dinner cocktails on hot summer nights. Directly off the kitchen there is a second larger entertaining deck with an outdoor table to enjoy meals with family and friends, gas bbq and a hammock for reading or just sleeping under the tree.
The shed is set up for a game of table tennis or locking your bike overnight before venturing out on the local trails the next morning. The rambling rear garden has an outdoor fire pit and is fully fenced if you would like to bring your dog on holidays too.
Trentham has the honour of being Australia's Top Tiny Tourism Town for 2025. Come and enjoy all that this beautiful town has to offer. Leave your car parked under the big shady tree and just wander out the front gate. Within a couple of minutes you have the choice of a wide variety of local eateries, galleries and interesting shops to explore along High Street and Market Street. It is an easy stroll back to the house after a meal at Du Fermier or any of the other great places to dine.
Take a drive to view Trentham Falls or explore the lush Wombat State Forest. Browse markets which are held every weekend in the region or explore the regions surrounding wineries and spa country. Daylesford, Kyneton and Woodend are all only a scenic 20 minute drive away.
We think you will enjoy your stay so much we have a minimum 2 night stay and 3+ nights for long weekends. Dog owners may like to note that part of the perimeter fencing includes a shorter picket fence across the front.

Great location, lovely home.Good communication with host and info if we needed anything.Only feedback, body wash was virtually empty.TV only tuned to 3 channels.Luckily the weather was lovey and we only turned the TV on last night of stay.
I have stayed at Serena's beautiful home many times now and it has been a consistently wonderful experience. The beds are so comfy, the kitchen has everything you need, the garden is a beautiful and the house is around the corner from Trentham's delightful main street. Serena is fantastic at communicating with her guests and making check in a breeze.
The house was clean, well presented and large enough for my adult family to enjoy without feeling over-crowded as there are two living spaces both with fireplaces. Easy access to town and beautiful garden. We loved it!
House is beautiful and really well stocked kitchen. Dog loves the big backyard. Being able to walk into such a fantastic little town is a bonus. Love this house.
We enjoyed a lovely stay with my parents at this property and wished we could have stayed longer. The house has everything and more that you could need to enjoy a cosy weekend away. Location was perfect with a short walk to the main street and easy access to the nearby walking trails. We will be back!
We had an amazing time at this property. The house itself is immaculately renovated and has everything you need for a family holiday. The fireplace inside is beautiful and the fire pit out the back made for great marshmallow roasting. Being able to walk into town was fantastic as well. Overall we had a fantastic stay.
We love this stay so much that we only ever stay in this house if visiting Trentham. Made all the more attractive by the dog friendly policy. Our doggo loves it also.
This property definitely lived up to expectation. It was super clean, very well equipped and extremely comfortable. Serena has thought of everything and there were lots of local touches in the decor. It is well located, just a short walk into town and there was a folder with lots of ideas of things to do but it was hard to tear ourselves away from the fire I must admit!
Beautiful home away from home, relax and rejuvenate
Country home, wood fires, attention to detail superb. Everything you need. Comfy beds, warm, cosy, crisp sheets, inviting space and close to everything.
We love this place! It was a wet and cold weekend but the house is warm and cosy. There's plenty of room to lounge around in front of the two fireplaces. The beds are comfortable and I love that we don't have to bring anything. It has everything we need for a relaxing family weekend. Even the dog loves the huge, enclosed backyard! We'll be back again and again.
