About this property

Seahorse Cottage - Loch Sport - Gippsland Lakes

This is a fully furnished two Bedroom cottage that sleeps 6 people, just 50 metres from Lake Victoria beach. Bedroom 1 contains a double bed. A double bed and two single bunks are in second bedroom. Loch Sport is wedged in between the Gippsland lakes and the 90 mile beach giving visitors the unique choice of 2 beaches and is approximately 3hrs drive from Melbourne's GPO. The lake beach is children friendly and excellent for boating, water sports and fishing. There are 3 boat ramps to the lake and a marina with some overnight berths. If you prefer the surf, then the 90 mile beach is just a 5 minute drive away. If you like golfing there is also the local 18 hole Loch Sport Golf Course (Sandscrape Championships played here in 2012 and scheduled for August 2021) & an RSL club too. Kangaroos often hop down our streets at dusk and there is an abundance of other native wildlife in the town and in the nearby national park.

The property is small dog friendly The property is available all year round for weekend, mid-week or weekly rental (Minimum 2 nights per booking)

Some of our facilities include Reverse cycle cooling & heating, electric kettle, toaster, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, electric stove & oven, plates, cups & cutlery,2 double beds, 1 bunk bed, Digital TV, DVD Player, sound system (CD & radio), outdoor gas BBQ, outdoor setting & gazebo. You can bring your own bed sheets, blankets and towels or these can be provided for a small free per person.. Loch Sport is a small town but has its own general stores, 2 petrol stations, a pub, a marina, boat ramps and a few other takeaway food shops and vans so you can buy most items in town. www.lochsportcottages.com.au

This was a great place to stay, its quiet but an amble to the lake and a short drive to 90 mile Beach. Also within slightly longer walking distance is the marina, Foodworks and the nationalpark. Perfect for folks who bring their dogs and like walking or swimming.

Good location, Cottage was clean & tidy, and owners are super friendly. Certainly will come back.

The house was well-maintained and organized. It is really comfortable to house 4 people. It is very close to the beach. House owners are helpful, flexible and friendly. He even gave us a ride around the town with his fabulous and unique motorbike. We would not have a wonderful holiday in Lock Sport without this lovely Seahorse Cottage.

Great location close to the Lake. Very comfortable beds excellent. Really good large enclosed yard for the dog. Had all you needed in a holiday house. TV needs to be upgraded as not compatible with HD channels. Most channels now HD so could only get a few channels.

great place

Nice old-style house with all you need. Only 20 meters to the lake and couple minutes to drive to the national park and the 90m beach. The owner responded very quickly. Be aware that it is not recommended to swim in the ocean because of rips. But you can swim in the lake. A paradise for fishing. The first place with lifeguards to swim in the ocean was in Seaspray (around 40min), but with a lot of fun as the ocean beach and lake are only at 10min distance.
