The Hygge House was just as advertised - a cozy retreat with all the comforts of home. The communication before our stay, instructions, and check in process we're all flawless. The kitchen was fully equipped - we cooked all our meals there and even baked a cake! We loved our stay.
We loved our stay at the Hygge House. It was the perfect way to spend a long weekend relaxing and enjoying the cabin and hot tub. It was very easy to find and get to local attractions like Fallingwater. We’ll definitely be looking into staying here again!
We liked the property. Perfect for our needs. Small. Cozy. Convenient to our destinations. Well equipped. It was unfortunate we didn’t have better weather to enjoy the hot tub and the beautiful outdoors. I would suggest that you could find a curtain or covering of some type to put over that small square window in the bedroom. The other guests left their outdoor light on all night and it was quite bright in our bedroom. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to our friends. Thank you.
Property was clean and in very good order. Kitchen was stocked well with dishes, utensils, and pans.
Cozy little one bedroom, Nice amenities, Hot tub and grill work great, and a nice little outdoor firepit area.
Would recommend and I would definitely visit here again.

Reviewer Comments:
To whom it may concern, I assume this email will take a while even to be received due to the lack of quality customer service impression I’ve already received. First off, I’m lucky to even be alive to send this message. I’ve attached ALL correspondence (yes, including any spam messages) and NONE of them have the code that was promised to be sent 12 hours before my arrival. I arrived Friday evening later than expected due to a snowstorm. Because of the storm, I wasn’t able to make sure the security code was sent to me. The roads were too dangerous to be checking for that information on my phone. When I arrived, I called the customer service number,, provided and was told by a person named “Jason” who identified himself as a “manager” that he marked my note as an emergency, but when I explained it was -11 degrees and had nowhere else to go, he agreed that wasn’t ideal and he “hoped someone got back to me.” Keep in mind, there were people who were literally getting trapped in their cars and dying at this point in time with the weather conditions. I know because I am a National News Manager and worked at WTAE for three years before moving to NYC. Considering the dangerous temperatures, I sought other means of an overnight stay. My friend who was with me, her name was listed on the document that asked for all participants, and my dog all had to pay over $300 for us to have accommodations last minute. Our car also broke down halfway to the hotel because as the mechanic said, “we had it running idle in the weather conditions,” which was because we were in front of your rental spot trying to get into the cabin we paid for. Then at 1 a.m., we received a text claiming to have the code. Of course, at that point, we were warm and safe a good chunk of miles away having had to spend copious amounts of money just to make s
Everything was great except for two things. The neighbors were playing loud music until 10-10:30 ignoring the quiet time rules. For this particular property, there is a super creepy attic crawl space opening with lattice work in the bathroom. The parking and actual house is clearly marked.
This is a very nice property i enjoyed my stay there, and there is alot to do around the area, i would definitely go back again, my only 2 negatives if you consider them negative is one there is no outside light so bring a flashlight its very very dark outside the porch, the second is it has a washer listed in post but there is not one on aight which wasnt a issue they have a laundrymat near by, other then that as long as the neighbor doesnt have their dogs out its a very very peaceful nice little cozy set up as i said i will definitely be back!
This place was perfect. It was spacious and clean. The hot tub was the perfext amenity after a day of hiking. The only conplaint i had was the parking. It did take a bit of tries to get my truck in and out of the driveway. But all in all i would definitely stay here again.
Hygge House is a delightful tiny get-away space. Everything was cozy and inviting (Hygge!). Would highly recommend to a couple or solo traveler looking for a quiet and comfortable place to land.
Perfect spot for our short weekend getaway.
Everything we needed and a great location. Great for visiting FLW properties, Ohiopyle, etc.
Unfortunately, we arrive in the dark Friday evening in the rain and fog. A light shining on the property sign would be a nice addition. Overall. A great experience.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Just ok
Inside was very clean, bed very comfortable. Hot tub was nice. Outdoor very worn, not clean. Description did not include fact that cottages are very close together. Also their were only 3 spoons and we called and told housekeeping would drop off utensils but never did.
We had such a nice stay at the cabin. The cabin was so clean and cozy. We loved the hot tub and deck!
My ONLY complaint, we did not have enough room in the outside trash bin for all of our trash, we had to bring a bag home with us. There was another couple staying at the little cabin attached to ours and between their two bags of trash and our two the can was full. Other than that we had a perfect stay.
Very nicely decorated cottage in a great location if your coming for the state park or Fallingwater, Polymath or Kentuck Knob. It's small. Definitely just for 2 but great that it is dog friendly. I would stay again.
