About this property
Simple Living at Luxurious, Modern Farmhouse on Bainbridge Island. Dogs ok.
Reminiscent of an old barn on the outside, the farmhouse is luxuriously fresh, contemporary, and romantic. Enjoy morning coffee on the porch surrounded by nature. Wander miles of forested trails or a casual island bike ride or paddle nearby waters. Located in the historic farming community of Eagledale, your lovely 850 sf home is two miles from the ferry and a short walk to forest trails and Puget Sound waters. You will love the fresh, white, modern and light-filled interior. Radiant pipes heat the concrete floors and wood-planked vaulted ceilings top off the bright space you will call home. A special Vermont Castings propane stove keeps the space warm and cozy while thoughtful finishes show incredible attention to details. Privacy abounds in your space and on the surrounding green space. We love to have dog visitors and provide special amenities when you let us know that your 4-legged family is joining you when you book your stay.

Your adventure begins...
...in a new, modern, and fresh space with tons of natural light and privacy. Just imagine waking to the sounds of farm animals, sipping morning coffee on your covered porch as sunlight breaks through the big leaf maples. You can spend your days wandering miles of forested trails, biking island roads, kayaking or paddle boarding or combing sandy beaches of Puget Sound, searching for sea treasures. When nighttime falls, share stories around your backyard bonfire while counting stars as they fall from the sky.
Reminiscent of an old barn on the outside, natural light bounces off the concrete floors and fills every nook and cranny of the bright space. Built with materials that match LEED requirements, allergens, dust, and dirt are as minimal as can be in any living environment.
Radiant heated concrete floors keep you warm when winter days are wet and chilly, and cool when the sun’s rays spread wide across the yard’s big leaf maples. Scattered throw rugs add a dash of color and a soft landing for bare toes. A black cast-iron propane stove, set in a large fireplace surround formed with Rocky Mountain Granite, anchors the open kitchen and living space. An oversized white bubble fan swooshes air in and out paned wood clad windows, keeping the temperature inside always comfortable.
The well-stocked kitchen has all the essentials for cooking. You can cook in the gourmet kitchen with a full set of spices, pots, pans, and baking needs supplied. The special, new appliances include a Thermador dishwasher and gas stove/range. The deep farm sink with pull-out faucet makes cleanup easy.
The bathroom, covered in white subway tile from floor to ceiling, boasts a deep tub and shower combination with excellent water pressure, a comfort height toilet, and a modern vanity with porcelain sink and countertop.
The main floor bedroom has a queen Tempurpedic bed, four oversized windows with views to the forest and open field, and expansive closet space.
Up in the loft you will find a comfy Simmons pillow-top queen bed. Measuring almost 250sf, the loft offers an additional living area with sofa, desk, plenty of drawers for personal items, and bookcases filled with games, reading material, and treasures from around the world. A favorite, heirloom wicker rocking chair anchors the corner.
As a bonus, the grey sofa in the main living room pulls out to a twin-size bed.
Roller shades cover the windows on both levels of home.
A washer and dryer are provided.
Well-behaved dogs are welcomed upon request and review and for a $50 flat fee/stay.

Why they chose this property
Located in the old farming neighborhood of Eagledale, on the south side of Eagle Harbor, homesteaders built their farmhouse on this acreage in 1906. Old fruit trees, evergreens, and big leaf maples grace the land. We are the fourth owners and have returned full life to the old homestead, making it our home, our sanctuary. Private and sunny you'll feel miles away from the world, and yet it's just minutes to the town of Winslow-Bainbridge Island's downtown corridor, and a short ferry ride to downtown Seattle. This is ol' Bainbridge living at its best...We love it here!
What makes this property unique
WHY YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS HOME:
You'll hear coyotes cackle, owls hoot, and eagles squawk.
While sipping morning coffee the deer will graze on your front lawn.
You'll walk miles of trails from forest to beaches and back again while your favorite companion runs free beside you.
You'll spot owls staring back at you from limbs of old growth cedars, eagles soaring above, and gaggles of geese migrate as the day progresses.
You'll pick buckets of blackberries ripened by the summer sun.
On clear evenings, you'll see the milky way and stars shooting across the dark sky.
The sounds, sights, and touches of nature will fill you up.
