Stone Mountain Inn is a four bedroom estate that is available for full rental. It is located in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania in the heartland of farm country. Woodwork and stone is throughout the interior as well as the porch area and grounds. The Inn hosts a dining room, common room, billiards room with a stone bar, full kitchen, a porch with stone arches, a campfire ring, and 4 guest rooms with each private baths, and a half bath on the main floor. A library is available in the common room for those who want to relax and read or view the variety of tourism info available. The bedrooms are furnished with a vintage flare and for the romantic at heart. Hiking is a favorite with 70 acres of many easy walking Jeep trails that take you over a creek, through fields, and woods with remnants of the old stone walls. Creativity abounds with many pieces of art and photography by the Strosser family, displayed throughout the Inn. Just minutes off of Historic Route 6, makes it easy access to any of the small quaint country towns in the Endless Mountains. This Inn matches the amenities of a hotel but adds the comfort of quiet and relaxation of being in the country and minutes away from town.

About the host

Hosted by Bonnie Strosser

Host profile image
Ed and Bonnie Strosser purchased this home and completely renovated it to what is now known as Stone Mountain Inn, which opened to the public in 2009.

Why they chose this property

The Inn was originally built by the Lundy family in the late 1800"s, and a picture and diary from the family is available for guests to read about life then. The Inn was restored using some original work keeping some of the authenticity of the original home. Ancestors of the Lundy family have toured the Inn providing more information on the original structure. The stone chimney in the common room was the made from the stone on the property and we fell in love with it upon first site, although the structure was completely stripped down and gutted. Bonnie's father was a stone mason and she has always loved the art of working with stone. Ed and Bonnie created a stone architectural retreat at Stone Mountain Inn for for all to enjoy from the stone porch with all its detail and arches to stone in the Billiards Room to other places inside and out.

What makes this property unique

The Inn is also host to an Art Gallery as Ed and Bonnie's work is throughout the place.
