This two-bedroom, two-bath Maui vacation rental is located in the heart of Kihei and has access to many of the shops and restaurants local people love. The rattan furniture in the living room is cozy and inviting. The living room in this condo is wide open and sunlit, making it great for relaxing. The living room opens up to the lanai, which has new patio furniture and new flooring. New AC installed in 2024.

The kitchen boasts a generous granite countertop fit for storing all of your groceries and ingredients to make your favorite dishes in your home away from home. With a maximum occupancy of six, both bedrooms offer en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed with two nightstands on either side of the bed and a dresser at the foot of the bed for you to store your belongings during your stay. This en-suite bathroom has a grand mirror over the vanity and a newly re-tiled walk-in shower with an etched glass door. The second bedroom also has a queen bed. There is also a queen sofabed in the living room. Both bedrooms have views of Kamaole Beach Park and are close to many wonderful Maui experiences. Pack light as this vacation rental offers a full size stacked laundry system.

This condominium complex in South Kihei has two pools on property for their guests to use and even has BBQ gas grills so you can enjoy some lunch at the pool or dinner under the stars. Each building has an elevator for ease of access and lots of beautiful foliage to decorate your Hawaiian vacation. This property also has tennis courts for the days you feel like being more active.

Located near Makena, this condo complex is across beautiful beaches and near local favorites for shopping and dining. Across from the property is Kamaole Beach Park II and Kamaole Beach Parks I and III are located only a short walk to the right or left. After some fun in the sun, find some good eats at Cafe O Lei, Fred's Mexican Cafe, or 808 Deli. If you feel like shopping around and gathering some souvenirs for home, swing by Kihei Kalama Village open-air market where you can find trinkets and attire signature to Maui. You can even dine in some of the great restaurants in the area such as Three's Bar and Grill or Kihei Cafe. For more familiar options, Starbucks Coffee Company, Safeway, and Ross are located in the Piilani Shopping Center right up the road.

Nice location

the condo worked well for us . nice to have extras such as beach chairs and well stocked kitchen . only negative is some of the snorkel gear needs replacing and if you want air conditioning it does not work

Great little home away from home.

Unit was very clean and comfortable! The most impressive part was that it was thoughtfully stocked with items you actually need. For example, the kitchen had different cutting boards and different size knives. It had pizza racks for cooking, different sized pans and lids to match! These things make a big difference. The beds were very comfortable and clean. We will definitely come again to this unit, highly recommend.

Nice condo

The condo was very nice. The only thing was that the pictures of the unit showed one of the bathrooms had a bathtub. It was a little disappointing to see both bathrooms had walk-in showers-no bathtub. We thought the property grounds should have a little more lighting at night, as it gets very dark quite early.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Terrific condo in a great location across the street from kamaole beach. The condo had a good amount of beach gear. We cooked a lot of our meals and the kitchen was great with a nice supply of Tupperware and a whole closet for our groceries (many rentals don’t have this!!) the complex has tennis courts and two pools. The main issue was that the condo is advertised as sleeping 6 - there are 2 bedrooms so 2 people are supposed to use the sofa bed. We all know sofa beds aren’t great but this one was terrible. Absolutely awful - even without laying on it you could feel all the springs. After a bad first night I called Maui condo and they brought us an aerobed which was very comfy for the rest of our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very comfortable in this condo for our one-week stay. Two couples or one couple with 1-2 kids would probably do fine. The location is great - short walking distance to beaches, restaurants, stores. This property has the nicest grounds of all of the moderate-level properties we saw. Very beautiful landscaping. The lanai overlooks an expansive lawn area and other buildings are far away, affording privacy. There is a nice wedge of ocean view from the end of the patio table. I loved that all of the decor was tropical, adding to the vacation vibe. The place was clean, but I look at details like light switches and those and cabinet doors were kinda grimy. The bedding and linens were very protected and clean. The kitchen was outfitted with quality appliances, but it was oily lit. We appreciated that they allowed condiments to be left, so we had some choices of oil and spices. The window unit A/C helped, but...you MUST have windows open and fans going. The down side is that noise carries through those open windows, so even though the smoking area is far away, you will hear the cackling and conversation of folks up late and not being considerate of house rules after 10pm. The birds wake up early (5:30-6am). Maybe you get used to it after a while, and it's a pretty sound, but it's not subtle. The pool is lovely and the water temp is as comfy as the ocean, so no excuse not to be in the water!Management was very helpful and friendly and checked up on us after the first day. The buildings were older but looked like maintenance was kept up.Overall, we would not hesitate to recommend this property.

AC in the Bedrooms would help, but nice place to stay.

Great location, but of course, it is Maui. Biggest drawback is that the Unit only has AC in the living room and really doesn't keep the bedrooms cool which got quite warm at night. Nice view from the balcony. Short walk to the beach, and many shops and restaurants are in walking distance. The clothes dryer broke right before we arrived, so that was inconvenient, but management offered a discount that was very fair. Overall the stay was great, but having AC units in the bedrooms would be a big plus. Grounds are well maintained and the on-site management very helpful. Felt very safe walking the neighborhood even late at night.

Reviewer Comments: The management company, Maui Condo was very patient, informative, caring and did great follow up for any concerns such as a problem with the pull out couch. The location of property great since walking distance to stores, restaurants and sunsets from the lanai or walk across the street. It is a corner end unit and the bedroom windows are not on the walkway side to room but on parking and garden side, so hear a lot of noise and get woken up from unit below if talking loud in bedroom. It is away from the trash chute. I love the security screen door to allow a great breeze thru the condo. The tile floors are great for easy cleaning. The stacking washer/dryer a great convenience. Overall, I would recommend this property due to convenience to beach, sunsets, Kihei boat ramp, stores, restaurants and church.

It has air conditioning but we never used it as there was great airflow through the condo for April weather in Maui. The condo complex has two nice pool areas with great barbeques and tennis/ pickle ball courts. We were able to walk to great beaches, cafes and restaurants. It was a short Uber ride to golf courses. We loved our stay at this condo C519 and would definitely stay there again.

Very nice unit across the street from beach

Kihei Akahi 519 is a nicely laid out two bedroom, two bath unit . The kitchen is well stocked with just about everything you could ever want and has great appliances. The living area is comfortable for four people as is the small deck. It was very nice to have a full size washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable; the smaller bedroom has a double bed, though. The second bathroom was not really “en suite” as there was no door between the sink area and the main living area. We never used the AC as the ceiling fans and open windows/doors kept the place cool. Having an assigned parking space was a plus. Overall, this was a great unit.

April 2018 Stay

When we arrived at our condo, C519, Kihei Akahi, on April 19/18 , we were excited to see that it was every bit as beautiful as the pictures showed. My grandson was a little disappointed as he was expecting bunk beds, and there were none, however everything was sparkling clean, and we had an ocean view from our lanai. This unit was thoughtfully equipped with an awesome kitchen and anything you could possibly need during your stay, including everything for the beach. Boogie boards, chairs, sand toys, umbrella, etc. Our favorite place to eat out at was Café O'Lei just a block away. The proximity of this condo to the beach, shopping and dining and fun things to do is second to none. Absolutely would stay here again and would recommend to all of our friends.
