The let was as described with a beautiful view over the Irish Sea. The apartment was clean as described. It is well located with a short 10 min walk to the centre of town and the harbour area which has a good selection of restaurants.
We loved the property, it was a perfect base location for our visit to Ireland. Valerie is an awesome host and was very accommodating and helpful and our time could not have been better! We highly recommend Valerie and her property in Skerries!
Valerie's place is perfectly situated on the Irish Sea and within walking distance to the idyllic town of Skerries! We had a lovely, relaxing stay, with Valerie making us feel very welcome and comfortable!
Beginning to end, this stay was perfect. Scones and butter awaited us along with fresh eggs and milk. Ocean view was beautiful, walks along the beach breathtaking and the dining superb. Stoop your head, 5rock and GOAT in the boat are “must” dining spots. Goat in the boat was our morning coffee and breakfast. Valarie was so helpful and so kind. We traveled Ireland for 8 days, staying at this location only 3 days and we wish we would have stayed longer it was that encompassing.
My partner and I loved our time here. falling asleep listening to the ocean crash upon the shore and being very accessible to local food and culture. An hour car ride to Dublin and several castles. I would rebook this place in a heartbeat. Our host valerie was also very kind and checked in on us, made sure we had everything we needed for a weeks stay.
Location is perfect for walks along the sea into Skerries. Valerie is very welcoming and quick to respond to any questions. We also drove a short distance to Ardgillan Castle and spent half a day walking the gardens and forest paths.
This property is absolutely perfect. Away from large city, close to restaurants and grocery. Valerie is most helpful in every way. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great end to our Europe trip on the east coast of Ireland. The views of the ocean are exceptional, and owners very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed walks along coast and visiting the town of Skerries windmills and shops.
The unit was as described. The place was comfortable and it had everything necessary to prepare meals. The balcony had a great view of the ocean and Skerries strand. There was easy access to Dublin and the airport. It was a 20 minute walk to the train station where trains could take you to Dublin in an hour. It was also only 8 minutes to a bus stop where the bus could take you to the airport.
Another fabulous week in Skerries to ease into the working year. The views amazing, Valerie is very communicative, the apartment is very well kitted out, lovely personal touches.
Very nice location for combining seaside, country and cities like Dublin and Belfast. The view is just great and we enjoyed every day, from a very warm welcome with scones and eggs, bread and milk to the end when we had to leave with lots of new impressions to take home.
Thank you, Valerie,
The apartment had everything we needed and more. Our host, Valerie, was welcoming and the fresh scones and jam was a nice touch. She provided us with some bread, butter, sugar, tea and coffee and eggs so we didn't have to rush out to the shop on arrival. The apartment is homely and the bed comfortable. The location is perfect and we enjoyed our morning strolls along the beach to the harbour. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Wonderful in all ways
This is a lovely one bedroom rental right on the water. We loved the view across the harbor, the proximity to town (everything is walkable) that the quietness. At night we left a window open so we could hear the sound of the sea. The owner is very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. And, since she grew up in the town she could coach us about where to go, etc. It is perfect for a couple.
We were warmly greeted by Valerie who showed us around the apartment. She even had milk, eggs and fresh scones with butter and jam waiting for us. The apartment was clean, bright and had amazing views. Our boys loved exploring the tide pools and the town of Skerries was a quick 10 minute walk away. We would definitely come again and would recommend it to friends. Thank you Valerie for sharing your wonderful home with us.
Splendid little getaway cottage on the sea. Location could not have been better. The cottage is upstairs with a beautiful view of the water. We were greeted by our wonderful host, Valerie who supplied hot tea and delicious scones with butter and jam. After a long travel day, we could not have felt more pampered. Valerie checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed and gave great suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. The cottage was cozy, clean, well supplied, clean fluffy towels and a warm comforter. It was a great visit and would definitely recommend.

Lovely Place but
Valerie is nice and the place is pretty with a wonderful view of the sea. The home was clean however, there is no washer and dryer as listed in the ad. It is to note that the toilet does not flush well as i noted from other patrons. One major flaw we did not like was the host coming in while we were out in the neighboring cities/towns. There could have been some notification pre-hand as we had our items out. Other than that it really was a good stay for us. Val will try to help if she can.
Lovely apartment in fantastic beach front location
Beautiful apartment in a fantastic setting. We spent a lot of time looking out the windows at the wildlife - seals every day.No road between the apartment and the sea front, you are right there.
Large bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Valerie was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Local supermarket was 5 min walk. We arrived by train and that was walkable with light luggage.
My wife and I stayed here at the end of our trip. It was a great place to spend the last few days in Ireland. We were less than half an hour from the airport by car, and an hour away from downtown Dublin by train. Bru na Boinne was a half hour by car.
The apartment was as clean and well maintained, the views and ocean sounds were beautiful, and Valerie was helpful with tips and suggestions. The check in was super simple.
You get to fall asleep listening to the ocean so what more can you ask for?
The parking was on street, but that wasn't a problem.
I would recommend this place for a couple. I would stay here again.
We use VRBO to experience what life is like in the country we are in. Valerie's spot in Skerries right on the water with a walk along the shore to town gave us that experience and more. Our host was fantastic providing true Irish hospitality.
From Skerries we were able to travel to Malahide and Howth by rail. These 3 towns along the north shore of County Dublin are fantastic visits. But our return each day to this place on the water watching the sunset was special.
We made friends with the restaurant staff and saw them on the street to say high. A great way to experience true
Ireland.

Beautful Location, Amazing Family and Very Clean
If you are looking for a place to stay in Ireland, I highly recommend staying in Skerries. This apartment was everything we imagined and more. All our questions were answered. The place was very clean and cleaning supplies were provided as well. The owner was out of town, so her son took care of us. Our flight came in late and he went out of his way to meet us, even at midnight. We walked in to the apartment with milk in the fridge, coffee, tea and scones. Absolutely amazing! Next time we go back to Ireland, we will be staying here again.

Lovely, warm and friendly.
We can't say enough about this little gem of a find. Valerie was so helpful and kind. She suggested markets, restaurants and trains, then actually drove us there to show us the area. This little town, Skerries, was absolutely amazing!! We loved it. The house is exactly as shown, right on the water. We went to bed listening to the waves crash on the shore and watched the sunset from the deck. We will be coming back! Thank you again Valerie for all your hospitality. You can tell you love your town. You are a tremendous hostess.
