We loved this little cabin. Everything we needed was provided plus really enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the wildlife! Will definitely come back again if we visit this area again.
We had an incredible stay at this cozy cabin nestled in the mountains! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views that surrounded us. The cabin is beautifully decorated, combining rustic charm with modern amenities, making it feel like a true home away from home. The open living space was perfect for relaxing after a day of outdoor adventures, and the kitchen was fully equipped for preparing meals with ease. We loved spending mornings on the porch, sipping coffee and soaking in the fresh mountain air.The bedrooms were comfortable and peaceful, ensuring restful nights. Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful getaway, this cabin offers the best of both worlds—seclusion and convenience. The location was ideal—close enough to explore local hiking trails, but far enough to feel like you’re in your own private paradise. The host was incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth stay.We can’t recommend this cabin enough and are already planning our next visit!
Wonderful cabin- perfect for a quiet get away. Only comment is that it is about 30 minutes to drive to downtown Aspen in winter. Great place for quiet and playing with the kiddos. However if you want to go into Aspen, plan on a longer drive despite it only being 10 miles from town.
It was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and exceptional communication from the hosts, who ensured every detail was taken care of.
The cabin itself exudes rustic charm, with its cozy interiors and well-thought-out decor that perfectly captures the essence of mountain living. The amenities were top-notch, providing all the comforts of home while still maintaining that authentic log cabin feel.
One of the highlights of our stay was the spectacular views. Every window offered a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding mountains . Including the elk in the meadow in the evenings.
Overall, this log cabin retreat in Snowmass is a hidden gem. Its perfect blend of comfort, charm, and stunning natural beauty makes it an ideal getaway for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We can't wait to return!

Wild West
Staying on the gated Chaparrel ranch property let us experience the ultimate laid-back vacation. A herd of hundreds of elk greeted us every day to our amazement. They grazed all around the cabin and usually hung out in the field below the property. The cabin itself is super cozy and begs you to never leave.

A little slice of heaven! We were greeted each day by a large herd of elk hanging out in the pasture in front of the cabin. This is a beautiful and clean cabin with tasteful decorations. We didn't want to leave!

Elk Sanctuary
Very clean and updated. The cabin is on private land with beautiful mountain views and elk all around. Great location! The bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing. We had everything we needed to cook including a gas grill. You do need 4WD to get on the property. We will be back!
This cabin was perfect for our family of three generations. A great jumping off point for hiking, biking, excellent restaurants, and soaking at Glenwood Hot Springs.

Perfect Cabin!
Historic looking on the outside, comfortable and modern on the inside, this immaculate cabin also has stunning views and is located near Hunter S. Thompson's favorite haunt, the Woody Creek Tavern. It has a garage which came in super handy for all of our gear and is in a private gated ranch, so it's super secure. The location is central for visiting Aspen, Snowmass or Carbondale. The arrangement of the bedrooms (one above the living level and one below) makes it super private for two couples or colleagues. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with spices and coffee and there is a cozy wood burning fireplace. Make sure you turn off the lights and check out the INCREDIBLE night sky!
This cabin ticked all the boxes for us. Perfect location for us between Aspen and Basalt (outside of town but close to town amenities). Minutes to Woody Creek Tavern and Roaring Fork. Epic views up and down the valley. Well-appointed, clean and very comfortable. And in addition to all of that, a tennis court (it looks like turf but plays like clay and is in tip-top shape). The property manager and owner were wonderful and very helpful. Would give this 10 stars if we could. Absolutely fantastic. We hope to return very soon.
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the whole week. We skied every day at Snowmass which was only a short drive to the mountain. Beds were comfortable and the decor was nicely appointed. Beautiful views all around.

Beautiful cabin but has rodents
Beautiful, private cabin with a nice layout for 2 couples.
Unfortunately on our last night, we found that mice had eaten our food and left feces on the countertops. I had to follow up with the company a couple times after notifying them of the issue to get a very minor refund to compensate us for the food, and they seemed very defensive of the rodent issue. I question whether they were aware of the rodent issue ahead of time, as we found a mouse trap in a drawer in the kitchen (a drawer that held baking sheets...someone could have easily accidentally touched the mouse trap reaching in). I understand that issues can happen especially in a rural area, but the way the rental management company handled the issue afterwards was unacceptable especially at this price point.
Most amazing views and setting in all of Aspen!!! Just endless. Cabin was perfect in every regard, except one, and this one is major for me on an extended stay (7 days). The furniture was completely uncomfortable, small, non functional, and sadly a let down to this otherwise remarkable property.
We loved being on a ranch property. One morning I came out of the cabin to go skiing and there was a few elk right in the yard! If you want to be just out side of busy down town aspen in a place with a view of the mountains this is your place.
Very relaxing and peaceful cabin in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed was at the cabin from dishwashing soap to lotion and shampoo. It is a wonderful place to stay, even when your home in Florida is being hit by a hurricane!
Beautiful cabin on gorgeous property. The cabin was immaculate and the check in process was easy to follow. We had some difficulty with the water on our first night, but it was resolved quickly. The man who came out and remedied the problem was very polite and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property.
We had a great family Labor day weekend at the cabin. Fabulous views and can also watch the planes fly in and out of Aspen. The cabin is very comfortable with a great layout for privacy too with one bedroom/bath upstairs and one bedroom/bath downstairs. It was so nice to be out of the craziness of Aspen, but close enough to go into town if you like. Fantastic hiking in the area. Be sure to get reservations if you plan to do any hiking in the Maroon Bells Area (highly recommended). Loved our stay!
Great property within easy driving distance to Aspen
We chose this property because it was outside Aspen but still within a reasonable driving distance. The property is well maintained and we were very comfortable during our stay.
There is a larger main house on the property and this cabin is located adjacent to that house. We had a friendly conversation with the owner who told us where we could view a heard of elk during our stay.
The two bedrooms and two bathrooms make this a great property for a small family.

Spectacular Stay!
From affiliate site: Spectacular stay! I stayed at this perfect little cabin with my husband and son and we had a blast. It was so well-equipped, extremely clean, beautifully renovated (everything was new) and in the perfect location (if you’re looking for something away from the crowds). By car it takes 15 mins to get into Aspen Town and maybe 20 mins to Basalt. We spent every day hiking, biking, fishing and the location in Woody Creek was perfect. You do need to rent a car if you’re choosing this location, but it’s well worth it. You are surrounded by 360 degree view of rolling mountains. We will miss our morning coffee and dinners on the front porch. It was a trip to remember and this little cabin was the icing on the cake! Thanks Kim!

Beautiful Cabin
Enter beautiful Cabin. Older people, peace and quiet wanted and we got it. Going to all the good restaurants a nice treat. It was hard to leave the cabin it was so cozy. The millwork/carpentry is exquisite and the kitchen was outfitted adequately. Bathrooms were lovely and everything was so clean.
