Find yourself nestled away in the trees at `Pilot Point` near Red River Gorge, Kentucky! This newly remodeled cabin is the perfect headquarters for up to 7 guests and up to 2 dogs. This beautiful cabin boasts wooden rustic interior and décor to help you feel right at home. Featuring a covered porch to relax and enjoy coffee in the morning or soak your worries away in the hot tub rain or shine. A large, open firepit offers guests the perfect opportunity to enjoy a fire with family and friends.

- Pilot Point is pet friendly however pet fee of $100 does not show in total balance. We have a $100 pet fee that covers up to 2 dogs. Please contact directly after booking to add this $100 fee.
- Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen (Standard coffee pot, microwave, oven), WiFi, private covered hot tub, flat-screen TV, propane grill, covered deck, washer/dryer and more!
- Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom 1: Queen Bed | Bedroom 2: Bunk Bed w/Full and Twin Size Beds | Living Room: Air Mattress

- We provide fresh linens and towels. We also include essential starter packs to make your stay easier! (Starter packs include: 2 rolls of toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels, shampoos and conditioner, 3 bar soaps, 3 laundry pods, 3 trash bags, and 1 sponge.) We recommend purchasing firewood locally to avoid invasive species entering the area.
- Please note that 4-wheel drive is highly recommended. The cabin is secluded and roads leading to it can get quite steep.
- Secluded location near Red River Gorge - Close to hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lines, sight-seeing, restaurants, and much more.
- Dogs permitted with $100 fee. (Dogs only; maximum 2 allowed. Dogs need to be crated if left at the property alone.) Pet fee does not automatically add to your balance, please contact us to apply after booking.
- Please contact us as soon as possible if you must cancel or reschedule your stay. No refunds or date modifications within 14 days or less of your arrival.
- No refunds are permitted due to weather. No exceptions. Winter weather (snow/ice) and flooding can occur in our area. You should be given the option to add Trip Insurance at booking check-out.
- Please be aware that no refunds are permitted for cancellations on holiday rates, which includes but is not limited to, New Year’s, Valentine`s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

A great homebase for hiking

We enjoyed this place. It's an extremely cozy property and the hot tub was perfect for some chilly hiking. Very secluded and peaceful.

Fantastic weekend getaway!

This was a fantastic place to spend the weekend. The cabin was so clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing and the large TV was great for watching basketball and movies. The beds were also comfortable. I would definitely recommend this lovely cabin!

Looking Forward to Spring Vacation

Beautiful cabin with all the amenities we needed. Owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was hassle free and enjoyable! Very secluded property, great place to get away for peace and quiet and the ultimate relaxation! The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking and exploring. We will definitely be back and will recommend this place to our friends and family!

New Years in the mountains ⛰️

Wonderful trip! The cabin was clean and homey! Love taking hikes during the day at the Gorge and Natural Bridge. The dogs had fun too. Great way to start off 2024 with the family. Will be back again! Oh and Miguel’s pizza was awesome too!

The cabin was very secluded and peaceful, which we really enjoyed. The porch was a favorite spot for relaxing and soaking in the quiet surroundings. It’s about a 25-minute drive to nearby attractions.That said, there were a few things that didn’t quite meet expectations. The listing photos didn’t fully match the current condition of the property—especially around the fire pit area, which was quite overgrown and the grass needed to be cut. The string lights didn’t work, and while the hot tub was a nice feature, only one side of the jets was functioning. The cabin was clean enough overall, but basic supplies were limited—only two rolls of toilet paper were provided for three people, which wasn’t quite sufficient. Also, just a heads-up: the drive up to the cabin is steep and narrow. We had a couple of close calls with other drivers, so it’s something to be aware of, especially if you're arriving at night.Overall, we enjoyed the peaceful setting but felt that some maintenance and clearer expectations in the listing would improve the experience.

This relaxing retreat for a couple of burnt out ladies was perfect! Communication from host was timely, warm, and helpful. Place was easy to find and we truly felt like we had escaped into the wilderness even though it was just a couple hours from work and home. Thank you for thw experience!

Short weekend stay

Stayed with my girlfriend a couple nights in the winter. Luckily the weather was pretty warm. The drive would be very difficult in snow/ice, but my Toyota Avalon had no issues in regular conditions with the hills. Hot tub was great. Amenities for anything you could possibly need. I felt the couch, chair, and bed were a little cramped, but I'm almost 6'5". A few dead bugs inside, no big deal. Overall, it was a nice stay and exactly as advertised.

All amenities in one place

This was my first time renting on Vrbo and the owner was very communicative and responsive. The property was well taken care of, easy to check into, very welcoming, came with necessities and comforts, and served us well during our stay. It checked all the boxes and was our primary choice since it didn’t have a two or more night stay minimum. We enjoyed cooking out on the grill, sitting around the fire, roasting marshmallows, relaxing in the hot tub, playing board games in the living room, listening to the rain on the roof as we drifted off to sleep, and cooking in the kitchen. This place had it all! Thank you. Our only regret was not seeing the cat “pumpkin” the guest book raves about.

Hope the cleaner gets the full fee

After paying a cleaning fee, to get check out instructions that include starting a load of wash, stripping sheets, washing dishes, taking out garbage, etc -all of which is appropriate, but to see an envelope in case I want to leave a tip, I though gre whiz, where’s my tip? I left it ready for next guest so that only the clean sheets need put on bed. Again, if the cleaner isn’t getting the full fee and some minimum wage or less, the tip needs to come from the owners, not the guest.

A Far Away Stay

The cabin was very clean and cute. It was easy to get comfortable and feel at home. The little wild kittens under the porch were fun to feed and watch from a distance. I want to say, we enjoyed our stay, but there were some things I knew before we stayed there. The steps going up to the bedrooms were really steep. If you have kids staying there with you, it might be an issue. Make sure you bring a box fan. The thermostat is located down stairs so the temp upstairs is a lot hotter than down stairs. And the don't want you to turn it lower than 72 degrees in the summer. Last thing, and this is isn't an issue with the cabi , but I did t realize the cabin is 23 minutes going through sketchy winding roads to get to all the parts of Red river gorge we wanted to see.
