Welcome to one of the best locations in Niagara on the lake. Bissell's Hideaway is only five blocks from shopping and dining on historic Queen Street (far enough away from the hustle and bustle of town), minutes away from spectacular lakefront views where Lake Ontario and the Niagara River meet, and we're only one block from the best walking/riding trails in NOTL.

If you are planning a ladies weekend or SPA getaway, or attending a local wedding, we have all the amenities to make your celebration, or weekend getaway memorable.

The Pillar & Post Gardens and SPA is only 1/2 a block away. The Wine tour companies will pick you up, and drop you off, and everything else is within walking distance.

This is a great property within walking distance to the main street, theatres and restaurants. Really comfortable for two couples. Roland was responsive and provided everything we needed including tea, coffee, bottled water etc. Great location and value, we would stay again!

Bissel's Hideaway is such a lovely place to stay while in Niagara on the Lake. It is far enough away from the downtown core that it is nice and quiet but it is close enough to take a nice walk downtown. There is a lovely walking trail nearby and the neighbours are amazing. We will stay again. Roland is a gracious host and everything you need is provided. Check in is so easy and this home is so quaint and on a lovely, quiet tree-lined street.

Wonderful place!

My husband and I stayed at Roland’s place for a mini getaway. It was in the perfect location and very close to the town and shops, we even walked to dinner one night! Roland is so nice and left us some things to make us feel comfortable. I would absolutely recommend staying here and we hope to be back when the weather is warmer!

The Host Has Thought of Everything

We loved our stay at Roland’s property. It was immaculate, well located, and truly had everything we needed. Wonderful place to stay in Niagara on the Lake

Our host Roland thought of all details we would need for our weekend girls get away! We appreciated the bottled water in the refrigerator, snacks to cords to charge a variety of electronic devices and flowers and welcome greeting upon arrival . The location Is an easy 15 minutes from downtown and 2 minute walk to Pillar and Post. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time in NOTL! Was a great spot to stay in town but gave us enough space to spread out but close enough to everything. Great neighborhood, close to all the action and walking distance to downtown. Roland was a great host. We could not have loved this house more! Check-in was easy and the place was spotless and well equipped with not only the basics but some extras in the kitchen such as water, coffee, tea, spices, olive oil and snacks. Perfect Cosy Cottage

Roland's property is a perfect little retreat! Ridiculously clean and neat, and with so many thoughtful touches (Creamers! USB-C and Lightning charging cables!!) Great communication with our host, too. We can't say enough good things about our stay. Our one regret was that in November, the weather didn't allow us to take advantage of the large front and back decks.

Absolutely Excellent

I rented this property with my mom and sister for a girls weekend and could not be happier with the experience. The house was exactly what we needed and was clean and beautiful. You can tell the care that was put into maintaining this property. Roland, the owner, lives next door and was very kind and accommodating. The house was equipped with all the day to day items we needed including special touches for protein bars, coffee, creamer, and a fridge full of water. We will absolutely be coming back for future trips.

Greetings. My name is Roland. I am retired. I was lucky enough to purchase the family home where I grew up in NOTL. I renovated my family home in 2012 and was able to purchase my grandmothers home next door in 2015. We renovated my grandmothers home in 2022 and called it Bissell's Hideaway. Our guests tell us that we have one of the best locations in NOTL, the property appears as in the photos, and it is fully equipped to cook and eat in (including a selection of spices). We're located on a quiet tree lined street. The property is 700 square feet, two bedrooms, one bathroom, and it's perfect for those weekend getaways for one or two couples and we've hosted many ladies weekend getaways too.

If you are looking for clean, charming, great location, then Bissell's Hideaway is the perfect spot for you and your family & friends.
