In the area for work. This property was perfect for a safe, private homey feel after a long day of work. Had everything we needed and got to fish! Our host was absolutely wonderful. Will definitely stay again.

This property was a very cute, little and comfortable place to stay. It was right on one of the canals that fed into the Gulf of Mexico, and we saw mullet jumping all day long in the water.
This was such a cute and cozy place! It was truly a home away from home during our stay! The newly added pavilion was a nice surprise ! It’s a beautiful place and a hidden gem. We saw many birds and a large blue heron stopped by!
Our host Vera has everything in the house you need. Kitchen is stocked, plenty of towels, laundry room and more.
We will definitely be back! We will be better prepared for some fishing next time!

Cute and clean
Cottage was cute and clean. It DOES NOT have central air...I called to verify before booking and was told it did; but, it definitely only has the wall unit in the living room. If you don't mind sleeping in a warm bedroom, you will be ok. I had to go buy a fan to draw from the living room, had to turn on the ceiling fan, and had the wall unit set pretty low in order to sleep. The living room gets cold just fine though.
Also, don't turn on the outside light by the front door if you don't want to fight frogs. LOL.. The light attracted bugs and the bugs attracted frogs that love to hang by the door and stairs. It was pretty comical the first night trying to get back inside after coming from dinner.

Response from VrboOwner on 28 September 2022
From the owner: "Moneisha, thank you for staying with us! We’re sorry that your stay fell short of your expectations and that you experienced issues during your stay.
- We are sorry that the temperature of the home was not to your standards. Since this is the second client who has complained about the A/C unit, I will purchase an A/C unit for the bedroom.
- We are sorry that the frogs outside caught you off guard, we understand how offputting this can be to a vacationer. We also understand the importance of using a porchlight, and although we can't control the fact that bugs are attracted to the light, we totally understand your concerns about the frogs and insects being a problem. We will be looking into this concern.
Thank you for bringing these issues to my attention. We appreciate the feedback!"
Was a private stay. We enjoyed the privacy from the sides. Owner was very communicative before we arrived.
It is close to pretty much everything.
The appliances were clean. Had plenty of utensils and dishes for us to use.
Fishing on the floating dock was fun. There are mangrove snapper out behind the property and possibly trout and redfish too.
Overall, me and my wife enjoyed ourselves.
The only negatives I would have to say are the following:
There was no dishwasher detergent.
When we arrived, we looked around the property. There were no external trash cans for us to put our trash bags in. There was a broken decoration, laying by the side sliders. That left broken glass all over the ground, and we had to sweep it to the side.
The house looks like it has not been properly deep, cleaned in a while. When you lift up the toilet seat, the bidet was nasty. The baseboards were coded with stuff. A lot of the surfaces don’t look like they have been dusted in a long time.
When you’re in the master bedroom, there is no privacy so we had to stick the pillows in the windows around the AC unit. The neighbor behind us kept looking at the house. You could see him kind of standing there walking back-and-forth and then looking in our direction at night. And you can see right in the bedroom if you’re outside.
There is a lot of traffic on that main road. There is a lot of bikers that go back-and-forth on that road as well. Which made it pretty noisy at night.
Poor lighting inside.
We loved the privacy and the closeness of all the fun things to do . Great places to eat a d have a few cocktails. Close to shopping for everything you need. It was a fabulous stay.It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Air worked great, great outdoor space .
Cute cottage feel, terrible aroma of mothballs when you open the door & 1 wall unit a/c (only in living room). Unpacking my bag at home & all my clothes smell like mothballs/ poison. Overall the place was cute but the temperature in the bedroom was unsatisfactory & made it hard to sleep. If I would’ve known ahead of time about the a/c situation & mothball stench, I would’ve stayed somewhere else.
This is a small cute house. Pretty quiet in a nice area. House actually nicer in person, has lots of beach decor. Cleanliness was ok. I would stay again. Perfect for couples.
Manager responded quickly to supply some missing items. Patio was great to relax on and enjoy the canal view. Property was exactly as described.

The cottage was cozy, quirky decor, comfy bed and all appliances were in perfect working order. Vera was very accommodating when it came to amending our reservation due to a serious Midwest snow/ice storm. Would have liked a gas grill and firewood for the fire pit. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Also, we would recommend the Ram Restaurant and the Poke restaurant in the nearby Publix shopping center!!
Very conveniently close to everything without being in the midst of it. Wonderful host. Tastefully decorated house. Very tropical and comfortable. Absolutely love the mattress.
