Family reunion

This was such a perfect place for our large family!! Beautiful spot on the lake and large patio for gathering!! Lisa was great to work with and quick to respond to any questions!!

Our group of 15 had a wonderful time! The cabins were comfortable and gave everyone the space they needed, while still allowing us to gather and enjoy time together. The dock was a favorite spot — the perfect place to relax and soak in lakefront living. The spacious patio, with its many seating options, made it easy for everyone to connect and unwind. From start to finish, it was a memorable trip filled with fun and relaxation.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place! I stayed here in May with some friends, the hosts were very accommodating and always easy to get ahold of.We really enjoyed the lake house, and the three additional cabins on the property insured that we had plenty of space. The views from the entire property were breathtaking, and we were always able to catch a good sunrise & sunset from the expansive patio. The location was convenient while still feeling private, would stay again!

We had all our family (22 of us) at the lake for Memorial Day weekend. The place was great. It was clean and well equipped. The dock was a great place to swim and fish. The separate cabins served us well as we had families with small children who needed an afternoon nap. You should know that there isn't a space to sit down to eat inside.

Just what we needed!!

Very nice for ages 2-84. The area of the lake is just what we were looking for - away from the “crazy”of the busy part of the lake.! Amazing boat dock (probably our favorite thing)! So many little extras to make our stay so convenient and welcoming into the main house and cabins. The life jackets, Lilly pad, diving platform, fishing accessories, outdoor seating, and boat slip were so nice to have available to us. The outdoor grills, black stone and seating on the patio were perfect for our group. New updates were done to the main house, before we arrived, which were wonderful - but not shown/pictured on the listing. I am sure the listing will be updated to show those wonderful changes. We all thoroughly enjoyed our get away.

Our Stay

Access information was never emailed. The phone calls to obtain this information were awful. I was repeatedly disconnected, and transferred. Finally after 2 hours of calling I obtained the access code. Once at the property the key was missing from the lock box. When we entered it was obvious cleaning did not happen. Left-over food, alcohol remained. Bed linen was not fresh. The floors and carpet were disgusting!!!

Nice but has issues

The property is pretty nice overall, but there are a few issues and they don’t tell you things that we thought were important to know before our stay. After the final payment was made, about a week before the stay, we were made aware that all bedrooms are upstairs and there are none on a ground level. That proved difficult for us as we have 3 disabled family members and the stairs were narrow. My father who is 76 tripped going up as there are no handrails in the stairwell. Additionally, there is a huge problem with scorpions. We found one in cabin #1’s sink and at night, a family member was bit by a baby one while in laying in bed. Our child was stung in the face (cheek) and multiple were killed on the patio and thresholds. We had the kids stay in the cabin lofts but there were no blankets for them. In each loft, they only had a sheet but no blankets. The main house and each cabin are cooled by window units, which means it gets hot and hard to regulate the temperature. It also means you may freeze at night with the 1 thin blanket each bed was provided. The place itself is nice and we had a good time. It was well stocked and had extras like toothbrushes, luffas and such. The pier provided a nice place for fishing and swimming as well.

We strive to provide a great experience for all our guests. - When we prepare for our guests we go off of the booking and you booked for 22 adults and that is what we prepared for. We're sorry that you did not have enough bedding, if we knew you would be 33 people we would have prepared accordingly. We do post on our listing a sofa with a new mattress to sleep 2 on the main floor. - Unfortunately, we can't always pick our neighbors and some of them are critters. The rain seems to bring out the scorpions and although we do apply pet-friendly granules to keep them away they still seem to visit on occasion. Thank you for your booking, please know we do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. We will continue to strive for the 5-star experiences we know we can deliver."

Beautiful Family Reunion

My family stayed here for a long weekend in June of 2022. We checked in on a Thursday and stayed through Sunday. We wanted sun, access to the lake and a place big enough to fit all 32 of us (22 adults, 10 kids). This place had everything we needed. Most of the adults without kids stayed in the main house. The young families with kids stayed in the cabins. The days were spent on the lake jumping off the high dive, splashing around with the kids on the lili pad, fishing on the private dock, drifting around on paddle boards, and tubing on a ski boat we rented from Bombay Boat Rentals. Dinners were on the patio as the sun went down over the lake. Once the kids fell asleep, the adults spent the evening/wee hours of the morning catching up and playing games. We're not from the area. Our family stretches from coast to coast, however, somehow, this place felt like home instantly. Our host was amazing, as well. She answered all of our questions before, during and even after our stay. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Mostly a great place

The living room area was a lot smaller than the pictures implied, which created some problems when it rained and we didn’t have anywhere to go eat. And you might want to spray it down for spiders because we battled a lot of those. However overall the sleeping spaces and the amenities that came of the property were lots of fun and we had a really good time
