Charming cottage on a beautiful property. Multiple decks looking over serene wetlands. Cottage well stocked with everything you need, plus some bonus treats and they even gave us some fresh eggs!! Would highly recommend
Lovely tiny cottage with all modern amenities, beautifully decorated .and adjacent to natural pond . Shannon really deserves 6 stars for her creative and thoughtful touches. Easy to feel right at home here and relax for a short stay. Loved that their place is close to the One-Spot trail and centrally located to Courtenay/ Comox area.
We had a wonderful time being hosted by Shannon at the Heather Cottage. Tucked away in a quiet location right on a wetland, it’s a great escape from the day to day. The cottage is cute and cozy, with everything you need for your getaway. We loved the fresh farm eggs, and the ambience. Wildlife awaits each time you look out towards the wetlands, with a variety of birds as well as an orchestra of frogs come dusk.
Would recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing getaway surrounded by infinite things to do nearby.
The cottage was very cute with good amenities. Lots of attention to detail. The fire pit was wonderful and the location was awesome. Lots of trails and only 15-20 mins away from everything. In one day we went to Mt Washington and played in the snow, then went to Nymph falls and played in the river then to Saratoga beach and enjoyed sun & sand.
Peaceful cute place. We loved it. Lots of special touches to make you feel at home.
We loved the escape to the country. If you love birds this is the place to stay. We hit the beaches which were 15 mins away. Lots of special touches here. Lots of thought went into the details. Only a double bed, which was the only down side, but we happily made it work.
Myself, partner and dog really enjoyed our relaxing stay. Was very clean and the location is beautiful.
Lots of time and effort went into this rental. We would definitely stay again :)
We enjoyed our stay at the Heather Cottage. It is a quiet, secluded cottage that overlooks a wetland marsh. It is well-stocked and clean. A truly relaxing experience.
Loved the location. Well appointed cottage, comfortable and lovingly decorated. Enjoyed seeing the beaver in the wetlands and walking in the forest. We would return. Farm fresh eggs were so good.
We had a wonderful time sitting in the deck overlooking the marsh sipping some wine. The sound of the birds was all the we could hear. It was very refreshing.
Make sure you grab some fresh eggs to take home.
Heather Cottage is cozy, clean and very well appointed. Shannon has thought of everything and makes that your stay is all it can be. Would love to go back and hope for better weather, and possibly meet Shannon to thank her in person!

We enjoyed staying in this lovely, well appointed cottage. It was very comfortable, and the separate sleeping space is good when half of your couple is a night owl. The views and sounds of the frogs at night were a real treat.

Based on the reviews and pictures of Heather Cottage, my expectations were high - and all of them were exceeded! The pictures are accurate but still don’t do it justice. A perfect, peaceful retreat for me and my dog, and we were both made to feel very welcome and well taken care of. I immediately rebooked for the Fall! The tranquility, the sounds and smells of nature, and this adorable cottage helped to rejuvenate my soul.
So many thank you’s to Shannon and family!
What a magical two nights. We're avid skiers, and having grown up away from bustling centers, I'm a rural gal and crave trees and silence. Heather Cottage is adorable and cozy. We loved the gabled bedroom and snuggly down duvet. Very efficient use of space which we value. Extra goodies for our anniversary and fresh eggs added to the delight of this cozy abode. Michael was also endlessly patient helping us dig our impractically low vehicle out of the snow drifts and escorting us to the bigger road. Thank you!
