Upstairs at TheVictorian - Lush, Walkable, and Dog-Friendly Retreat - Steps from
Summary:
You'll love this nature-filled getaway in the heart of Bellingham. Brought to you by StayBham, creators of inspired retreats. One of 2 units in The Victorian on Garden. Perfectly located, blocks from downtown's best restaurants, parks, and shops, this dog-friendly retreat will be the perfect home base for your PNW adventures. Enjoy all that Bellingham has to offer -- from the mountains to the bay -- and recharge in this lively sanctuary. With 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, the upstairs apartment is perfect for solo travelers, families, friends, or couples.
The Space:
The upstairs apartment at The Victorian on Garden sleeps up to 5 guests in 2 bedrooms. Enter through the garden and follow the rear staircase to your home away from home. The apartment features a lovely private patio with views of downtown.
Enter into the charming, well-stocked kitchen, where you will find everything you need for a delightful stay. Whether you plan to cook a lot or just want to enjoy our fantastic selection of teas, coffee, and treats, we've got you covered. The full kitchen also includes a washer-dryer, which you will be welcome to use (laundry detergent included).
From the kitchen, head through the hall into the sun-soaked dining room. Make your own tunes on the keyboard or enjoy the sunsets overlooking the patio. With a second door to the patio, the dining room allows you to easily enjoy your favorite meal or beverage outside. The private patio bar overlooks downtown Bellingham and the property's lovely gardens.
Back inside, as you head back towards the kitchen, you will pass the apartment's bathroom. The full bathroom is fully-stocked -- you won't even want to use the toiletries you brought. With everything from shampoo and conditioner to argan oil and face wash, we've got you covered. And, there's no need to feel guilty using our tree-free bamboo toilet paper. Be sure to take the opportunity to soak in the vintage clawfoot tub -- we've even provided an assortment of bath salts for you to enjoy.
Off to the other side of the kitchen, you'll find the cozy living room and entrances to both bedrooms. Modern, plush, and soothing, the living room is the perfect place to unwind. Enjoy a book from our collection, play a game, watch your favorite show or movie (Netflix, Fubo, HBO Max and Disney+ included), or peruse our collection of DVDs.
From the living room, you can access either bedroom. Each boasts its own unique character. Feeling stately? You will love the antique, four-post bed in the first bedroom. A beautiful centerpiece of the bedroom, this king-sized bed will provide a lovely place to rest and recharge -- especially with our luxurious, local, spa-like, supple sheets. This bedroom also has its own TV, perfect for cuddling up and watching a movie or show.
The second bedroom is truly one of a kind. Lush and zen, you can't help but relax in this room. With an amazing assortment of plants, you will feel surrounded by nature. Feeling creative? Take a seat at the grand, imported desk, full of drawing supplies and a wonderfully meditative Budda board. The antique, metal frame bed rounds out the room. This queen features the same, supple sheets, which will surely have you sleeping soundly. Need an extra bed? You'll find a twin air mattress in the closet of this bedroom.
While you are with us, be sure to enjoy the lovely grounds of The Victorian on Garden. The gardens are full of treasures -- from luscious lavender to towering bamboo -- every corner holds something of interest.
Guest Access:
Guests will have private access to the apartment. The apartment is part of a property with 2 separate apartments -- each has a private exterior entrance at the rear of the house and an interior entrance from the front of the house. The apartments share access to the gardens and grounds of the property. None of the interior spaces are shared.
The Neighborhood:
Absolutely in the heart of Bellingham, The Victorian on Garden is just steps from the best of downtown Bellingham. Diagonally across the street from our favorite grocery store in town and just a few blocks of some of the best brewpubs, restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and bakeries in Bellingham -- you won't be far from anything. And, if you want to venture out to explore the area even further, the house provides convenient access -- it's not hard to reach hiking at Chuckanut, skiing at Mt Baker, or boating in Bellingham Bay. We'd be happy to provide our favorite recommendations.
Getting Around:
The house is easily walkable to downtown Bellingham and just a few miles from Fairhaven. You certainly don't need a car while you are staying with us -- bike (inquire about rentals if you are interested) or foot will do. However, if you do have a car, you are welcome to park on-site. Please be sure to leave space for guests staying in the other apartement to park and access the house.
Interaction with Guests:
We do not live on site, and in general, we will give you space to enjoy your stay -- if you need anything, we are always available via message or phone.
