It was a great trip with my family. The cabin was beautiful my brother got to see the view he wanted and my daughter had a awesome trip for her first trip to the mountains. Looking forward to going again sometime ❤️
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Wallow. Anthony made sure we had everything we needed from navigating to the cabin on day one, finding family friendly things to do and even details on getting back to the airport on time.
The property was clean and a great place for our family to recharge after Christmas. We loved it here!
The drive up is quite the adventure but once your there it's a beautiful view of the mountains in an intense quiet. Beautiful!

Great cabin, pretty location
Lovely cabin, beautiful views, well appointed. Comfy beds, quality linens, nice sitting area.
Enjoyed the views and relaxed setting.
We arrived after a week of rain & the road up was a challenge, 4 wheel drive was needed. In good weather that may not be the case.
My family and I stayed at little wallow cabin and it was beautiful! The cabin was clean and had some supplies already stocked! You can’t beat the views and seclusion this property brings! Check in was a breeze and communication was amazing! We will definitely stay again! I would suggest 4x4 any time of year
My wife, daughter, son and I were looking for a place to stay while we hiked the trails in the area. This was perfect! It was clean, comfortable, secluded, and offered spectacular views. We could not have asked for more.

Chimney view cabin
The cabin was beautiful! It was very clean and comfortable. Other than the drive up (I have a van) it was perfect! Would definitely recommend it. Anthony was very helpful and responsive.
Very nice place. Well kept. View very nice. The gravel road to the place was advertised as steep, and it was. But I had no trouble climbing it. Very satisfied.

Spectacular!
The cabin was spectacular! It was a beautiful and cozy house. It had everything that was needed and more. Beds were comfortable. Views were beautiful, especially sunrise and sunset. The location was great to get to and from the parks we wanted to go visit. But best of all the cabin was calm and relaxing. A great space to just listen to and look at nature and get away from a hectic work week. Would stay again!! And recommending it to my friends and family.
The trip up the mountain is no joke - about 10 minutes of switchbacks on a gravel road. They aren’t kidding when they say you need all wheel drive. But the views out the back porch are amazing and the cabin is adorable. We loved the sunrises and saw a bear outside one morning! Easy to get to apple picking and hiking once you get down the mountain. We loved it and will come again!
Wonderful time in the mountains with my friends. When they say you need a 4 wheel drive to get up the hill they are correct! We learned to navigate the road, but the first time up was quite an experience!
House was lovely as well as the view . The beds are very comfy as is all the furniture! We all came home with lots( and I mean lots) of chigger bites ! Never experienced this before in all my years of going to the mountains. Not sure where we got them, but use repellant . The area surrounding the house is very very woody. Our overall experience though was great!

From the owner: "Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are pleased to hear many of your kind words but very sorry to hear about the chigger bites. Our property is professionally treated for critters like that however, bugs are bad this time of year depending on the trails you go to and the rainfall. We hope to host you again in the future!"
We had the perfect fall vacay at Anthony’s cabin. Four adults, and two toddlers, we were very comfortable and the house had everything we needed. Anthony was very responsive to all of our needs and questions. The cabin was very secluded which was exactly what we were looking for. Would highly recommend AWD or 4WD… I was really impressed with the bedding, linens and towels… they were all very clean, high quality and very comfortable. The cabin was very spacious, and we were able to grill out one night and cook dinner two other nights. We built a fire in the fire pit and made smores one night. We really enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning and hiking onsite. Fall foliage was at its peak when we stayed, it was beautiful. This was perfect proximity to all our destinations, Hendersonville, the Arboretum, Asheville, Apple Orchards, Blue Ridge Parkway, Black Mountain, Triple Falls, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure… we did it all. I will definitely recommend this cabin and its location to all my friends and family. I would love to come back next fall.
Why five stars??? The roads in this area were damaged in the flooding and not back to full use. Going up to this cabin, however, they are as passable as ever. This is our experience: once you leave the blacktop, there is dirt and gravel roads, fair and being improved despite the true devastation that happened very few miles away and extending to this area. They still become a bit harrowing and when the sign says "road narrows", make sure you have an appropriate vehicle. You do pass some roughening roads until you get to a small trailer park area we dubbed "hellbilly tp" (apologies to anyone living there being offended, but we talk like that between us and laugh). There was even an oversized pickup that cost four or five times more than the runabout camper it was parked in front of that had its back end out in the road and we had to go around. The road from here is steep and definitely secluded cabin worthy. Unfortunately, for us, we were not forewarned and we came packed in the family Honda sedan. We couldn't make the last half mile steep drive. Probably can't even if it gets newly graded. We had to turn back. Here's where the five stars come in. Hosts refunded everything. I was prepped for bear and shouldn't have been, didn't need to be, and was a difficult client. Hosts were gracious and willing and we're always willing to do right by us. I'm sheepish, but amending my ways. Don't hesitate to do business with these good people.
My family and I loved this mountaintop cabin. Secluded from all other people and properties, the cabin was a wonderful hideaway. The home was clean, spacious and extremely well decorated. It was the quintessential mountain retreat.
A vehicle with 4 wheel drive is absolutely essential for accessing this home even in the most ideal spring conditions. Due to a flight delay we arrived later than expected and were not prepared for the VERY dark and VERY steep gravel road. We drove past 3 times because the gps and service in general was spotty at best and finally got out of the car to walk around the camp ground to locate the road up.
Once we arrive the home was clean, spacious, and well decorated. Everything we needed was available in the home and everything was and well cared for. The view off the back patio was gorgeous at sunrise and sunset everyday and worth the drive up. It was peaceful and we honestly didn’t see another soul until we went down to the camp ground at the foot of the mountain. There’s lots of places to hike close by but I’d encourage you to grocery shop on your way jn.
Our only issues were some difficulty with the wifi which the owner quickly addresses and the fire place was out of propane, but it has been an unusually cool winter/spring.
All in all a lovely get away if you have the right vehicle ;-)
Wow, wow, wow---this mountain cabin is absolutely phenomenal! We took our son & his family for a long weekend getaway, and we were not disappointed. The cabin is just spectacular---spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, great layout and truly a wonderful getaway type of place. The views from the porch were just amazing. You are truly "up the mountain" so I would advise a 4 wheel drive or AWD vehicle. The hiking in the area was second to none--Chimney Rock and Bearwallow Trail were our favorites. We would highly recommend Little Wallow Cabin to anyone looking for a wonderful mountain retreat!
The drive up to the cabin was a bit scary. I did not expect that. But the place was absolutely beautiful! The views, the cabin itself and all around it. Definitely a great stay!

Amazing stay!
Amazing Cabin with amazing views. Woke up each morning to beautiful scenery. Great Hiking trails. Extremely peaceful. Best anniversary gift ever! Definitely will be coming back for additional visits.
This is one of the nicest and cleanest places I have ever stayed at from VRBO properties! The owners were super sweet and helpful. They also replied quickly and text during our stay to check-in on us. I would highly recommend this place and we plan on visiting again!
The property was magnificent, and described perfectly. Communication was outstanding... from the level of detail the hosts provided about the house, the surroundings, activities and such, to staying in touch during our stay and answering every question we had promptly and completely. Stunning views from the property, and great hiking trails nearby! We all loved the experience... definitely highly recommend!!
