The remotes for the television and sound bar were a little confusing. For someone who finds electronics challenging it would be nice to have had a cheat sheet. Still I appreciated all the channel options.Did want to point out that the upstairs toilet has a small leak and the downstairs tub could benefit from a grab bar.Was surprised the complex did not offer recycling options considering the town of Mammoth promotes itself as green.
We really enjoyed our stay here! Great location, quiet and the townhouse was perfect for us. Our only feedback was that the beds were too firm for our family and the bedroom lighting was diimmer than our preference but overall it was a great experience.
This is a very practically designed condo that is perfect for a family and extended family. The upstairs master bedroom provides privacy from other members of the group. The underground garage has two spaces and is a short walk to the unit. The unit is a short drive and even walk from the Village, Eagle Lodge and Safeway. We appreciated the extent of the responsiveness of the owners.
The property is in an excellent location. Walking distance to Eagle lodge. And the high ceiling in the family room was cozy. The balconys were a plus. The kitchen had everything-including room to cook. And the hosts were real responsive. As was the property management.
great location, lots of steps, the townhouse was very dusty, needs better lighting. kitchen sink leaked pretty badly. kitchen needs new toaster, a water kettle would be nice.the owner and property manager were great to deal with.
None of the blinds worked- and only ONE of the three televisions. The property manager Leo seemed annoyed that he had to come help us with them - and actually got them working for just a moment. Cords everywhere- and so many remotes- not very professional. The owners seemed nice-
Liked heated garage, some light bulbs were out, fireplace didn’t work, and thermostats kept the place pretty warm, even after adjustment. But overall, nice place.
The condo was nicely furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. We had everything we needed to cook numerous meals over the week we were there. Two minor issues though: the top rack of the dishwasher is in need of repair and some of our party would have preferred the spa to be a degree or two warmer.
Experienced some issues. 1. Access code for front door did not initially work. Took some time to gain access through property manager. 2. TV in master bedroom was not setup with WIFI and there were too many remote controllers with no instructions on which to use. 3. Guests in Unit 2 below were loud and playing music late at night (up to 2:30am). 4. Unit is very warm and took a couple nights to cool down (no AC) and ceiling fan in living room did not work.
We stayed in this condo during a 4-day trip with our family of 4 and my mom. Other reviewers are correct that you need to be prepared to do stairs: 1 set up from the parking garage and another set to get to the main floor of the condo. Not a problem for us. The condo was spacious and so comfortable. The master bedroom is up another set of stairs, but had a big closet and bathroom. I loved the giant bathtub and separate shower. Everyone had their own space, which was nice. The living room has a really comfortable couch and the fireplace worked great and was so easy to turn on to add some warmth and ambience.
We loved how close it was to Eagle lodge. It would be kind of a long walk with gear so we drove, but still very convenient, and there was a shuttle stop super close by if you prefer.
Kitchen was well-stocked and nice. Overall happy with no complaints.
Disappointing Aspects to Otherwise Decent Unit with Great Location at Sierra Star
Nice size unit and good location (end unit) in the Sierra Star condos by the golf course. Kitchen was good, but unit needs some repairs and TLC for summer rentals:
1. The top rack of the dishwasher is completely broken. I had read that in a review and assumed it was fixed. We had to use only the bottom rack for the entire time we were there. We chose the place due to the kitchen since we cooked 3 dinners there, so it was a bummer when we realized it wasn’t usable.
2. The fan in the master suite is broken. It was unfortunate because it was a beautiful but hot weekend in Mammoth.
3. More lighting was needed in all 3 bedrooms since the overhead/fan in each room is dim. One lamp provided was broken. There was also no place for any suitcases.
4. The light in the master bathroom (one of 3 over the sinks) was burned out. The property manager could not replace the bulb so the bathroom was fairly dark.
5. One of the kitchen lights over the sink also burned out after the first few hours and we could not find a bulb at the store that would fit it, so did without.
6. Linens provided were spare and not in great condition.. Lots of pillows but only two pillow cases per bed. The property manager provided more upon request. No blankets on the beds, other than bed cover.
7. All of the blinds were very dusty and needed to be cleaned. The property manager cleaned the bedroom blinds and we left the rest fully up. During our stay.
We had a great time in Mammoth, and enjoyed our stay at this property! The condo was in the perfect location, close to all the restaurants, shopping, etc. We didn't come out for golfing, but I'd assume the close proximity to the course would be an added bonus. Home was nice and tidy, easy to find everything, and provided everything we needed for a fun fishing trip in Mammoth. Thank you!
Be prepared for 30 plus stairs which includes stairs from underground parking garage. I use a cane and did all the stairs, however it’s a challenge.
Nice property overall.

Enjoyed our stay!
Loved the location and the quiet. The condo was cozy and comfortable. There was a bit of an issue with the garage entrances and exits and always having to punch in the code, but once the numbers were finally memorized by us old folks, not really a problem. Lots of stairs, but turned out to be a good workout! The master bathroom shower had pretty weak pressure. But overall, a very relaxing and welcoming place to return to after a day of hiking and biking. Thank you!
End unit located right on the golf course. Close to what you need to get to in Mammoth. Enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony and evenings watching our favorite shows on the big Living Room TV. We will definitely stay here again.
