About this property

Barnwindee is a lovely house, full of light, warmth and charm. With four bedrooms, (3 upstairs and one queen downstairs) and two living spaces there is enough room for everybody to relax and enjoy their holiday. The house is on a quiet road over looking rural views and it backs on to a secluded common area-perfect for kicking the footy or lunchtime picnics. The garden is full of native trees which attract local bird life and there are several vegetable patches that you can help yourself to when being our guest. There is an outdoor eating area with bbq and fire pit, a balcony to take in the last of the suns rays setting over Bass Straight and friendly, quiet, permanent neighbours. Barnwindee is close to the The Race Track, Penguin Parade, The Store Cafe, The Anchorage general store (it even has fuel) and back road access to the surf beaches and track. The house is situated a 5 minute walk to a beautiful quiet bay beach and is close to one of the islands only off leash dog beaches. Our home is perfect for a quiet, peaceful family holiday. No schoolies or parties please.

Comfortable and great getaway

We just had a bunch of adults got a new years getaway. Great for movies, close walking distance to a small beach and short drive from cowes. Perfect for what we needed and enjoyed our stay thoroughly

Our family has recently returned to the island after five years of living in New Zealand. We love adventure travels, all things to do with the beautiful waters that surround Phillip Island-fishing, surfing, diving, rock jumping! Beau works in conservation, Mel is a local yoga teacher and our sons, Gus and Manny, attend the local Catholic school. We have owned Barnwindee for over 20 years now and we are so thrilled to share our family home, this special, unique neighbourhood and beautiful island with you. We hope you enjoy your stay.

We have owned Barnwindee for over 20 years and have loved and guided her through a big renovation, many improvements and lots of TLC. She is a unique home with original floor boards from the old Ventnor dance hall in the main living area. Our home is full of beautiful pieces of art and collectables from our travels which makes for a cozy, enveloping, relaxed vibe. We have loved welcoming family and friends over the years to enjoy this beautiful place and property-from chilling in our cozy lounge spaces, to dining on the decks or watching sunsets from the balcony. Barnwindee is a beauitful and unique place to stay.

Barnwindee is on a quiet dirt road, opposite a rural landscape. A quiet, safe, west facing beach is just a stroll down the hill. We are lucky enough to back onto a seclusive common which gives the feeling of even more space and privacy.
