Very Spacious and Excellent Location

I've stayed in the Fingerlakes several times, and this by far was the best. The house is clean and very spacious. The rooms are very large. One of them included a small nook that allowed my 9-month old to be in our room, but have his own area to sleep. Another great feature of the house is the location. Everything is within a 10 minute drive - Watkins Glen, Grist Iron, several wineries, and hiking. There's a coffee shop, restaurant, and provisions within a 2 minute walk. We plan on coming back!

Property is as described. 1 1/4 bath would have loved another shower for a group this size. But it was clean and about 24 mins to Ithaca. Great place to Stay.

The property is ok. Some improvements can be made such as installing exhaust fans in the washrooms. Otherwise basic necessities are there but if make sure you buy everything if you plan to cook there including foil, kitchen towels, spices etc

Place was great room for everyone! Just one problem only 1 shower for 7 people. But we made it work. It was perfect for graduation weekend just a 23 min drive to campus. After ceremony we drove to Glenn Watkins and had dinner and we’re able to avoid the crowds in Ithaca. We we’re also super close to wineries and lake Seneca.

It was easy to communicate with Al. The place is spacious. The kids liked the foosball. However it was cold when we arrived and musty. The furnace was not on and didn't turn on till we reset it in the basement with Al's instructions. The musty smell was a problem for the family member with asthma.

The house was very spacious and clean. Close to Watkins Glen which was great. The owner was very responsive to an issue we had with the family room tv which wasn’t working and he had someone replace it the same day! The jacuzzi was nice also to watch tv from there was fun. All in all the place was great. Minor con it’s on Main Street and you can hear traffic driving by. Another is that there is only one shower for this big house., but we managed. Plenty of sleeping space. Beds super comfortable. Will stay here again in the future.

Photo misleading

Unlike the photo impression the house is right on the street and there is almost no usable outside space. No lawn chairs. Hardly any lawn. Inside the house is roomy and comfortable. Thin foam mattresses and just one rickety shower. Ice maker and washer dryer broken when we arrived. Kids loved the jacuzzi and the foosball table.

Hi Miriam, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: We are glad you chose the home and we are sorry your stay was not what you expected. -We do include a map on our listing so that guests can see the approximate location of the home prior to booking. We use local, professional photographers to make sure that the listing photos correctly reflect the property, so the bathroom shower and lawn features you see on the listing are accurately advertised. -The property is over a half acre with an immense amount of lawn space in addition to a concrete patio that is fully furnished. The lawn area is directly in front of the driveway so it is impossible to miss. -While mattress taste is subjective, we have never received any complaints about this in the past. However, we apologize that you were not completely comfortable and that our specific beds did not suit your personal preferences. -While we did notify you before your arrival the washer and dryer were unavailable during your stay, you made it clear that was not a concern. We are resolving the washer dryer and ice maker so this will not affect any future guests. We do all we can to make our homes the best possible stays, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. Thank you for your feedback.

Long time work friends getaway

Great location! Clean and well appointed. If you forgot something you need for the kitchen, it is probably there. Plenty of sleep space, 5 of us and we all had our own bed! Fortunately the weather was perfect so we took advantage of the patio for some snacks and wine! Speaking of wine, we took advantage of the coupon for the wine tasting for two. We all agree, Lakewood was the best. Bel Hurst castle is definitely worth it for a special occasion dinner. All said, the only thing we could "complain" about was that the lawn desperately needed to be mowed. Other than that it was perfect!!! We would most certainly return.

Ohio girls trip

House has been updated but most definitely needs a fan in full bath, something also needs done with shower curtain as you will have water damage issues in the future. Also don’t advertise an outdoor grill unless you check the propane all the time, started grilling steaks and it ran out 5 min into cooking them. Also lots of windows on first floor did not lock. But it was close to everything we wanted to see

Fun Getaway in the Finger Lakes

Very nice and clean renovated home in the NY Finger Lakes region. Located on a quiet street with a waterfall view. Also just a short drive from Watkins Glen or a half hour to Buttermilk Falls. This home is within walking distance of a restaurant and a short drive to several others. My family enjoyed the foosball and darts in the game room, and the two person hot tub in the tv room. Thanks!
