Garden Cabin set in a sunny private garden area with a shared Kitchen and own bathroom nearby( a minute’s walk away) Own covered deck.& outdoor furniture
Surrounded by Sub -tropical Native Rain Forest ; giant Puriris; Kauries;
Etc and our own fruitful orchards
We boast our own private Sunbeam. Stream you can walk to and swim in beautiful large swimming hole and waterfalls and boulders ( minutes from your doorstep!
Also approximately 10 minutes walk over the road and across the field to Crystal Bay
Beach where at Low-tide you can find a variety of crystals washed down the Sunbeam Stream entrance
Or go for a swim or a snorkel Rock fishing
All this and more
So come and Enjoy our lovely Island Home 😊🌺🐬🐟🐳🌴☀️💗

Lovely host and great experience

Had such a nice stay. Host is amazing. Was so interesting to hear about her life on great barrier over a cup of tea. A relaxing escape in paradise. Great location in the middle of the island. Would definitely like to come back!

A run down backpackers.

Down the metal part of Blind Bay Road, the property has seen better days. The rustic kitchen is okay, but the bathrooms are overrun by spiders, the cabins in poor condition and there weren’t any bedcovers provided. We had our own linen but expected there to be duvets or something. There are no keys to lock your cabin so you need to take everything of value with you. A high wheel based vehicle is needed to get up the long, rocky driveway. The host was away and we didn’t see anyone belonging to the property. There is no reception for phone or wifi on site. Blind Bay is only 300m away if you cross other people’s land, otherwise you need to walk quite a distance. This is a very run down business that left us feeling very disappointed.

Hi I apologise for being away at the time of your visit I had family commitments I did however give you the ph number of the person (Jordan)looking after it ;I let you know this iin case you required anything? We do have some ph coverage for Spark on the driveway by the Dome and I do not offer internet service sorry I had Jordan come down twice to see if things were OK but you weren’t there either time but I did let you know he was at Kowhai Studio a few minutes walk up the driveway so I did my best to communicate with you I had washed all the duvets etc and assumed they had been put back in the Cabin so sorry about that you could have asked Jordan or sent me a message? We are a bush setting I had a cleaner in a few days before you came but we have very active spiders ( Daddy long legs) so very difficult to be spider web free actually as they are back next day!!but do our best to provide clean budget accomodation with a good alternative power system and plenty of spring water and a very practical kitchen I am planning to upgrade the bathroom area soon and change the locks which will be the second time as guests are good at mislaying them and we do not have any Locksmiths on the Island There is Crystal Bay 10 minutes walk across the road we have permission to walk through the farmers land to access it and we have out own track down to the Sunbeam Streamm Pity Jordan wasn’t able to meet you to let you know these things All the best
