It was a perfect spot to see all the Lincoln stuff. The Frank Lloyd Wright house was very close and lots of great restaurants close by.The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed.
This is such a beautiful and unique property. My husband and our three tween and teen children really enjoyed all of the antiques and decor as well as the updated kitchen and tvs in all three bedrooms and living room. The place was spotless and the kitchen was equipped for our needs for simple meals. Checking in and out was a breeze. I will say this property is best for older children since there are many old and fragile items in the home. We would definitely stay again!
Very cool experience to stay in a well kept historic home. It was incredibly spacious. It was also perfectly located - we easily walked to every major attraction downtown. The host was very responsive to any question or request. Would definitely recommend staying here if you like unique experiences and want to be close to tourist attractions.
Beautiful place for our girls weekend! We had so much room for conversation and relaxation. Close to so many great restaurants and Lincoln sites. Highly recommend!!

It was a treat to go back to this property after a day of sight seeing. Very convenient location, clean and comfortable apartment, updated with modern amenities but still full of charming antiques. We would stay here again!

Nostalgic and enjoyable. Wonderful spot for our family
Like many, we chose the property based on the nostalgic design and furnishings and we were so pleased. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds and furniture are very comfortable. We would have enjoyed more than 4 plates and 4 coffee mugs as our party of 6 did not have enough.

Will rent alway going threw springfield 50 times a year.
My colleague and I stayed at the bressmer House a year ago when we had a conference in Springfield. We loved it so much that this year we decided to try the second floor. It was equal to our experience on the first floor! Beautifully furnished and supremely comfortable. It was a welcome refuge after long days at the conference. The location is perfect and we would both stay here again.

Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted that you enjoyed both the first and second floors of The Bressmer and that it served as a comfortable retreat after your conference days. We truly appreciate your return visit and hope to welcome you back again next year!
Due to misunderstanding on my part, we stated on 3rd floor instead of 2nd floor as we were expecting. There is no elevator so the stairs were a bit of a challenge. I had the Turret Room and it was lovely.
James was very kind.

Overall it was a nice place except for one glaring exception. It’s decorated nicely and mostly clean and well maintained. We stayed on the second floor. The glaring exception was an HVAC system. It was shockingly loud. It sounded like a car that needed a new muffler. It woke us up numerous times at night. If it had been heating season I would have been concerned about a gas leak. I reported it immediately to the management, but they were dismissive. They suggested fiddling with the thermostat, which made me wonder how dumb they think their guests are. Then, on check out day, we were loading our car, and started talking with the man who was taking care of the exterior. He was a real delight and was telling us about the property and its history. Unfortunately during that pleasant distraction we forgot we hadn’t finished loading our car and left behind some important and expensive items. I contacted them later that day as soon as I realized this. They said they would check with their ‘cleaning team’, but a day later, after a prompt from me, they said no items were found. I can’t prove this wasn’t true, but it seems highly unlikely because there were two people working on the property when we left: The gentleman working on the outside and a person cleaning the inside. I suspect they just didn’t want to deal with it. I get it, they’re not responsible for guests’ property, but they could have someone ship the items and the guest could pay for shipping and time.

Why they chose this property
The deep historical designations and beautiful style of this home are two reasons we got this property. Also, it's proximity to the local hospitals, State Capitol, other historical landmarks, and location near Old Route 66 made it irresistible.
