We had a nice time at the house. Going down to the water was a zig zag hike and steep one....150 step on a trail of stones.....I counted.We oldies had to power up to go up and down that trail for fishing. Not complaining just making folks aware.The house was clean. We got immediate service when the kitchen sink hose line went out.

Peaceful and well appointed

This is a great house and spot on Palo Pinto. Our family of four had a great time fishing, cooking and sitting by the fire. The house is well appointed and has a ton of space to accommodate bigger groups. We would definitely consider this property again for a quick get away!

This was the second year staying in the house. This year the grounds have not been keep up. We did use the fire pit or boat dock because the grass was waist deep and it attracted large spiders and rattlesnakes. Seen both. House was clean and nice.

Overall, the property is good, but not great. The biggest issue is the overall cleanliness of the property. There are beer cans and trash lining the driveway and around the fire pit and porches. The porch is unusable, not from spider webs (we get that, it’s the lake), but from general dirt and grime. My toddler sat on the porch and swing and was covered in dirt. The inside of the house is not much better. The house needs a professional deep cleaning, and not with a Swiffer pushing the dirt around. The carpets puff dirt and there was visible dirt underneath. We are not sure where the cleaning fee is going for this property. We rented this property for its proximity to family’s property nearby for a wedding. When we arrived Friday afternoon, it was 80 degrees in the house and took hours for it to cool off. This also happened the next day while we were out of the home for the wedding, the thermostat reset and it was 80 degrees in the house when we returned from a long day of being outside.

Great Potential

If you aren't a picky lodger, this house is a great choice. The layout and decor are very nice. Skylights and windows provide a lot of natural light. Outdoor hammock and decks are peaceful. We just wanted a better maintained home. Items that disappointed us: yard not maintained such that it was easy to get to the circle seating in the yard, bath dispensers in the upstairs shower are broken and all of the shampoo and conditioner were on the shower floor (and empty for future use), shower partition upstairs doesn't stop the water well, kitchen sink and dishwasher have an odor, toilets weren't flushed when we arrived, sliding door downstairs opens even when locked, so we didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the lower level. Nothing horrible, but we've enjoyed stays at other properties more. Note: We were only here for two nights so didn't report these items to the property manager during our stay. They might have addressed the issues had we reported them.

Just wanted to report a few things about our stay. The basketball game was broken when we arrived. We never could find the paddles for the paddleboards. The fridge was dirty, looked like blood from raw meat. Upstairs shower drips down into bathroom below. Main floor bathroom door difficult to close. There were dirty sheets on some of the beds. Front door doesn't close without difficulty and the trim work is loose on it, to the point of one big kick and the place would be broken into. Looks like someone got too close with the grill on the siding in the back. It is melted. I do not like leaving bad reviews and I don't plan to. However, these are things that need to be addressed before someone does leave a bad review. We will never book this location again. And this is the second stay with VRBO that has been extremely disappointing. The property does have positives such as Privacy. Landscaping. Access to water. Big bedrooms and bathrooms. Beautiful

We had an amazing mini vacation at Bobby’s lake house. We had the bedroom on the top floor and the view was beautiful. All 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms are huge. You have everything from laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, to bug spray. There was no need for mosquito or bug spray during our visit. Both TV’s have hundreds of channels. We swam off the boat dock and grilled out one day. Possum Kingdom is not far. I would definitely recommend. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Beautiful weekend getaway!

Driving in, my jaw just dropped at the beauty of this lake! The lakehouse was absolute beautiful and perfectly secluded. It’s a bit of a walk down to the lake, but the wooded charming stone path is great. Well furnished. All the kitchen utensil you need! Propane grill on the partio.

Great vacation rental with resort-like locaton, a fire pit, and well-stocked amenities. The host is welcoming and has excellent communication. We will visit again!

The photos of this place do not do it justice. The house is very secluded and serene. The views from the multiple balconies are incredible. The house is perfect for large families, as there is a bathroom on each floor, and a separate space for the kids. My teenagers loved it! We were able to use the firepit and had a great time cooking in the kitchen. In this open-kitchen concept, the cooks in the house never felt isolated but aways a part of the action. I highly recommend this place!
